Holy shit, it's been a long time.

Anyway, I'm back, since last time I've been sick 2 times, Christmas and new year happened once each, and general shit like not having the mood to play.

But from now on, I'm gonna start the grind again, and since Christmas, some great investments and just living in general took away a decent part of my BR, back to $15-$60 again.

I played a quick session today, got back to the grind pretty succesfully, tho probably made some errors here and there, but all in all, pretty good first session. Balance is like riding a bycicle.

1) Ok, bro, you got me...

2)

"Let's see. I have KQ of spades. My draw didn't come in on the river. No point bluffing, he won't fold a pair ever. Let's check.. "

BB checks, Hero bets

"Clearly, it looks like I'm planning to check/call. Why else would anyone check this river? He knows this of course, and yet he made a bet. Therefore he must have a strong hand. Easy fold. I just saved a full Big Bet. Fixed limit is so easy! If only I didn't keep getting so unlucky..."

These SNGs are weird
Is there any learning material or are you "figuring them out" by yourself?

Well, HUSnGs are by the definition of ICM are (or at least should be theoratically) the exact same stuff as HUCG. The only thing you have to know more about is the "short stack" situations, but that's basically hot-cold equity calculation, and once again, works the same as in CG.

So all in all, there's not much to learn of the SnG nature, of course the regs (and fish) act weirdly at shorter stacks sometimes, so you want to adjust to that, but that's it basically.

HUCG learning material is kind of few and far between, but with the general balanced rangebuilding approach it's quite easy to figure stuff out (especially since I have a non-3betting strategy).
