I think 2x is standard from bb100 and onwards. What did CM do in his coaching? I like the way you ignored marginal spots to take advantage of fish in better spots later. I have also started to add this to my game. It's about adjusting from Nash depending on villains ranges. Obv if guy has no idea of Nash or ICM he will often spite call or just call wide. These are adjustments that will make us cash in the long run and shows how focussing and not playing too many tables (for now) can have a positive effect on not only our ROI but also our progression.

Collin watched Parodiq play (pokerstrategy coach) and gave his thoughts on some situations. It wasn't as detailed as previous sessions but it was still very enjoyable, interesting to see when they opted for different plays.
I think last night I went a bit too far in ignoring marginal spots. I think it was a mixture of ignoring marginal spots and bad decisions.
I agree with most of what you said however here's interesting thing that I observed and was brought up in a video I watched.
Bad recreational players are playing for fun, they have spent their money to get entertainment. They play lots of hands to get lots of action and when they get into (accidentally wander into) the bubble suddenly people start shoving on them. Suddenly their entertainment is at risk by being knocked out and thus they tighten up. Ironically this is when the regs start widening their call ranges depending on bubble dynamics due to their understanding of ICM. I tend to see more regs calling too wide than recreational players. It does depend on whether they are bad recreational players or pure maniacs though.
What do you think about this, have you observed this at all or does it seem wrong?
I think we're hoping to do a hand review session at some point this weekend so I'll keep you in the loop.
I have encountered that. We just use the info we gained later (or in later games if we bust) against the regs. If recreation players do tighten up then it's back to Nash and even wider. Be versatile.

I'm setting myself a new volume goal of 220 games a week.
The last 2 weeks I've done 173 and 190 respectively so this should be possible.
I also want to get my push/fold decisions to a higher level so I can explore moving up to 12-14 tables.

Yes I work from home, although I've not got much work at the moment.
The plan is to mix up freelance web design and poker to give me a decent source of income and a really flexible lifestyle. A big goal is getting to minimum wage playing poker. I've figured out I can do it at the $5 limit playing 15 tables @10% ROI. People who don't play poker don't realize how hard it is to make minimum wage 
We didn't end up doing the session. Jim was really busy and Maythany ended up going offline.. I guess something must have come up.
We'll try and do something in the week I think.
1.5/2K dollars a month would be nice. I struggle with volume for now as I have to be seen to be looking for work and stuff I have greater success at the regular speed games and struggle at turbos. Obviously a higher skill level has a better chance over the longer game. I often drop to 300 chips after getting unlucky then am able to claw my way back to win. This is obv more difficult in a turbo.
The 7's are surprisingly soft and hopefully this week I can take advantage of that. I think if I can step up my tables to 8 and play 100 a day for 5 days, a 10% ROI would give me a return of $1500 a month (if my sums are correct). I do however think 10% is very ambitious to sustain. Which means more volume or a higher limit would have to be considered.

Since I started playing again mid december i'm 9.57% ROI over 530 games (so all I know is that I'm unlikely to be a losing player) my EV is 13.2%
My lifetime ROI is 7.13% over 831 games, my EV is 13.5%, as you can see I've run quite a long way under EV since I started.
I play 9 tables at the moment. To move up I'll either need a new layout or a bigger screen, I currently tile with big overlaps (but so that I can see a little bit of each table).
