Next week my main goal is take up time again. I will use the time to plan the hand, analyse betsizes and pay attention to the stats and collect reads when I saw the showdown.

I add the london opening to my chess openings. I like this systems (played it in the beginning of my chess career) and add some interesting moves.

hand of the day
Villain was a villain who levels a lot. What would be the best play to make him crazy things.

What about a smaller bet on the flop like 1/3 (what I did and he made a 3bet)?

learning target: take up time
Yesterday it was not good. Played a reg on NL400 for about 800 hands without a break on 2 tables. I played too fast and didnt make too much thoughts.

OTR I think we can never fold Ah flush.. We can certainly bet fold weaker flushes which we were betting for thin value but certainly not Ah flush.

Maybe if you have a huge sample and he never x/r the river, you can potentially think of making an exploitive fold

Having said that, I would definitely call. If he has the straight flush then gg :)

OTR why do you bet 3/4 and not pot? IMO his calling range is inelastic and we lose value when we bet slightly less.

hey! nice blog just looked through it :f_grin:
1) why do you need job with such nice income from poker?
2) how many hours mounthly have you been playing poker before getting job, and how much time do you spend on reviewing ur sessions?
3) how do you select opponents? just seat and wait for a fish to join the table?
4) you mentioned you play multirooming. why not just pokerstars, its much more convenient to play one room as i imagine it. and how do you multiroom if you 2tabling? 0_0

and what about this chess stuff, poker provides not enough thinking for you hey?? :f_o:

In such situation we have to ask the following questions (if the answer is yes to one of both questions, we have to call):

(1) Does he valuebet worse? I dont think that villain will shove a worse hand. We could have the nutflush oder straightflush. And even if Villain woudl raise a Kh Flush, he would make it smaller.
(2) Could Villain bluff? First, villain was not very aggressive postflop. So 1 argument for a fold. Second our range looked like a Q Flush and better or a bluff. When we bluff and villain has nothing a small raise would be fine. And our strong line also reduces the possitbilty of a bluffshove.

All in all its an easy fold.

(1) because I have a familily. Maybe I will be a full time pro in the future. Now its fine to play part time.
(2) I played more than 3 hours/ day before I started with my job. Now I play maybe 2 hours for a day. For handreviews I need about 30 minutes.
(3) when you just play fish just open tables and wait for villain. When you play regs you want villain which are very aggressive.
(4) The more rooms you have the more opponents you can play and the more you can earn.

I like chess and it helps in in poker. For example planing the hand, take up time,....

chess position of the week
White ist next to move. What position is better and what are the plans for both sides?

hmm i just ment that it has to be unbelievably good job to be better then 10k mounth. its like 15-20times average russian salary but obviously germany is better in this sense :f_o:

(4) The more rooms you have the more opponents you can play and the more you can earn.

ye but you said somewhere you play 2-5tables, that could be played at one pokerroom. but probably it increases probability and speed of fish joining :f_grin:

Money is not everything. I also want social contact and other things. The more rooms you have the more fish will join your table.

Goals of the week:
These week my main goal is handreading. I will try this mainly on the river. rr-pots, cr-Pots and when I face a 3rdBAR. I will also try to take a break every hour so that I can calm down, to analyse myself and rewatch my session goals. In chess I will concentrate on tactical things. I will ask the following questions:

(1) when villain moves: on which fields can villain move in the next move
(2) what is my worse figure and where is the best field?
