Okay it's been a while so let's get started.
Once again sorry for not updating for some time, basically no real excuse for that, even though a lot of non poker things basically screwed up February. So lets hit up on some of them.
- Got real sick at the beginning of February and spent a week in bed, not able to get up with high fevers, throwing up and all kinds of nasty stuff. Must've been some very resistant bug since it took so long to kill it. The bad side of it was the cough which basically kept waking me up at night, getting shitty sleep and all kinds of stuff. Once I got rid of the fevers and other things, the cough still remained. It's March now and guess what, the cough is still there ♦ Well not really often but still once in a few hours I get a cough attack, where basically it feels like someone is beating me with a baseball bat over my back ♦ This ended up affecting my volume quite a bit this month, but hopefully everything is a thing of the past and won't ruin other things in the future.
- As I have mentioned in the previous blog update, we have made a switch from Pokerstars to Microgaming network in order to maximize on the bonus/rakeback that they were offering and moving up limits from 1.5$ to 2.75eur limit. In general being a shitty month would not be a true statement if it didn't carry over to the poker related things as well. I initially got setup at TrioBet skin on Microgaming, and started playing there and then after about 300-400 games a magic thing happened ♦ My funds were frozen, account blocked. Spent a better part of 2 days talking with the support, sending additional documents bla bla (not my first rodeo, did this many times and all my documents are perfect) and the answer was my account was closed and funds returned. The explanation given for closing my account was "We reserve right to refuse any player if we believe it is in the interest of safety, integrity bla bla bla" Basically they just shit on me and kicked me out. This has happened to all the other players who tried TrioBet from my brother's stable. So got screwed for that FD bonus there and other things. So notice to all you guys thinking on playing at Microgaming, steer clear of TrioBet since we have now several confirmed incidents with this skin and their god awful support.
- So basically I had to redo the setup at another MG skin, and I settled on Betsson. Set up around the 15th and started playing. To add insult to injury started running bad almost immediately on top of not playing best due to the break, not doing enough studying and sessions with my brother this is where we ended up.

Like I have mentioned I am running bad but I am still disappointed that I am break-even in EV terms instead of being profitable. It's not a large sample and of course it has to improve with better running, but I still expected more. Did 2 sessions with my bro and we have identified problematic areas that were leaking and made some adjustments (started playing particularly well during the last week of the month (you can see the EV line making a big move, even though the results haven't really followed) and I believe quite soon all this will come to a more realistic state.
- Some general notes on playing on Microgaming. It is quite obvious that the network is dying and traffic is disappearing right in front of my eyes, so I don't know how much longer I will be able to put in volume at this network and would have to make a contingency once that situation happens. Basically there are some terrible recreational players who play all kinds of formats, and then a small group of regs which is driving the traffic. Basically it is extremely hard to run 6 tables of 6max at 2.75eur unless it is at the top top peak hours. This has led to an inflexible grinding schedule and frustration of playing 2-3 tables for an hour or so until traffic picks up. Generally this is the major disappointment with MG switch from PokerStars, besides that terrible episode with TrioBet.
In the next post, a short overview of goals for March.
