Not sure about the flop. Normally I like to just flat here. Reason is that it will encourage BTN to overcall which gives us a very good price. Also, if the BTN as PFR will raise we have a very good relative position and mostly can overcall with the given odds.
SB is donking here which looks pretty strong on this board imo. There arent many TwoPair hands which he can donk but most likely topset or a combo of good pair + good draws. So without having a pair ourselves I dont like to raise it here. I dont see him donk/fold often enough to make it a more profitable play.

On the turn I agree that betsize could be lowered. The reason is, we have the board completely crushed. There arent many cards that we dont like. Mostly only board pairing cards. Other than that nearly all cards are great.
For balance purpose a bigger bet might be fine but still I think Id bet smaller here. Something like 34ish.

yeah i agrree with ure analyse after see the hand again. I think calling should be best here. problem was that villian loves to donk. i saw him donking with overpairs, draws, 2pair and offcorse sets.
But overall against this range i should call like u said

Hi,

i think the raise is totally fine, but again i hate the pot raise. Why make him fold worse hands that call you? With pot raising here he has to think twice about calling with a worse FD or a SD. It's not productive to raise big when you have a nut draw that wants to get payed off by the river.

Perfect turn card for you. No need to bet 27bb's but potting is really bad. What worse hands are now calling you? What rivers do you fear? You have the nuts with 2 big redraws and you pot. Doesn't make sense :)

Regards,

Skod

Just thinking more about raising or flatting. I heard it a hundred times, alwayst thought about it but no one could convince me why raising is better in such spots.

What donking range do you give villain Skod? Based on what?
What difference does it make if we are HU or 3way?
What difference does it make if we have a pair?
Where do you see the higher EV in raising than in calling?
I know that raising is fine, but why is it better than calling here?

Hi,

next time please click on the "let the coach take another look" button, or i am going to miss your question due to the fact i have a different view of the forum than you guys do :)

1) I can only assume his donking range is the type of hands people donk here. 2 pair, sets, ovepair + fd, sd, combodraw, wrap, semi-air type hands etc...

2) 3way his donking range is probably stronger than HU

3) You have sd equity, which is very important if you have a draw. If villain shows with AKQJds here for some reason and the board bricks twice, you win even if your draw busts

4 and 5 - it's villain depended for sure. But i like raising here because a) we are deep and we get good implied odds, and b) because we can apply pressure on him and make him fold many many hands that beat us atm.

Regards,

Skod

This is the exact reason why I like raising with a pair in my hand alot better than in this concrete case (see my first reply).
I just hate to raise without a pair at all.

The deepness might be a reason to raise here, true. Although its not that deep.
Still I am not totally convinced :P

Well here's what happens if you don't raise.

1) You are very rarely winning his entire stack. Unless he goes crazy, it's very tough for you to leverage your stack by the river.

2) You are basically playing fit or fold postflop, looking at only your cards and playing them accordingly

3) You are not putting as much pressure on villain, allowing him to play without feeling too uncomfortable vs you, making sure he keeps tangling with you in the future.

I'm not saying calling is bad. But raising is better You can disagree if you like ofc :). If you don't use your own brain you'll never improve.

Skod

interessting posts from u both

i defently agrree with the point that his donking range is much stronger mw than hu.

When we have 100bb and we are 3 way or even 4-5way etc. i think the call, to let someone come with us, is better u agrree on this point skod?

Hi,

the more opponents there are and the shallower the stacks the better the call becomes obviously, as we can still stack our opponent(s).
