Hey Jazbenz - sorry i put partypoker when i meant pokerstars :)

Cheers Arthur I think the games are beatable especially if played at the right time which i think is probabaly when the games are loading slower rather than at peak times when there seems to be more madness and more variance.

Today I played 9 games $0.50 turbo 45 man, 33.3% itm, 109% roi, +$ 4.91. A bit disappointed not to win one but a nice session :)

I haven't played in a long time for various reasons, but yesterday I thought i'd start to play again and see how it goes. I'm playing the $0.50 45 man turbos and so far over two brief nights I've managed to play 11 sng's - $10.08 net profit 183% roi, 36.4 % itm. It's nice to play again and still have some idea of what I'm doing preflop and push / fold, however post flop i'm pretty awful. Anyway, i'm going to try and study a bit more about poker and try to play at least 9 sng's per day and see what happens :) curent bankroll $203

Cheers guys :) It's nice to be back. I had my first losing session tonight. -$0.76 over 9 $0.50 sng's. I now remember what it feels like to get a few bad beats and not much luck! AA beaten by 88, ak by Aq. I feel ok though, I could really do with putting in some more volume and playing around 18+ games after work each night, but it's pretty time consuming so i'll probabaly stick to 9 for the moment.

I'm not sure where to start in terms of studying, i think i'll just read over harrington's books again and use HEM2 to look at some spots and see where I might improve. I need to purchase silver status on here sometime soon and buy 2 months worth of holdem resources calculator, but i'm not going to do that until i've played for a bit longer.

Ok so I've set some goals. Once I complete a goal i'll change it for a new goal. There is no time limit to these goals.
I'm not going to set any financial goals as i don't think that's important right now.

I want to also make sure I review hands daily in HEM2, working on one aspect of my game at a time e.g defending blinds, unprofitable hands.

Once I've read all the bronze and basic material i'll hopefully buy silver membership and read those articles in my future goals.

I'll update this whenever I feel like posting.

1.) read all basic and bronze sit and go articles

(articles completed; (0/13 );

2.) read all poker basics articles basic and bronze

( 0/27)

3.) Read the NL articles

(0/26)

4.) read moshman math of holdem book 34/397 pages

5.) watch 5 bronze and basic sng videos, newest first 0/ 5 )

6.) play 45 $0.50 turbo 45 mans (/45)

Ok, so I've been reading a lot of articles in the strategy section, watching a few videos, reading some of Moshman's book and attended his coaching sessions.

I've not played much poker but it's not been great. after studying a bit of everything I decided to stick to preflop game first and work on that as much as I can. I feel like I'm playing a pretty good range in the early/mid stages of sng's but I've not studied icm push/fold yet so i'm just adjusting as best as I can.

In the $0.50 45man turbo games I played over the last 3 nights I'm up $1.54 with 18.1% roi and 17.6% ITM, a 1st 4th and 6th place. It was nice to win one again the other night.

I seem to be losing a lot when I'm ahead: 1010<j9o 77<j9o a5s<a5s aa<99 ak<a8 aq<k10 and I've lost most races too, so i don't feel like i'm playing an unprofitable game

Ok, so now back to studying preflop even more :) I'd like to play plenty of volume at some point to see how i'm doing over a larger sample, but I need to study and play between 4 and 8 tables until I feel like I'm learning more and understanding better. It's quite difficult to get the balance right between studying and playing, last year I just went mad with the playing and neglected studying properly.

I've started stacking tables too, 8 tables with 4 visible. It works nicely and the tables mostly pop up fine, but once or twice i've been timed out or sitting out because the table didn't appear?. I'm not sure if there is a way around that :)
