:spade: Weekly goals - Week 6 :spade:

Poker:
:diamond: 12 hours playing poker (at least)
:diamond: review all marked hands
:diamond: watch one vid

Health/Lifestyle:
:diamond: gym/running at least 3 times
:diamond: go to sleep before midnight

Other:
:diamond: 12 hours with my thesis (at least)

Raised minimum playtime a bit. Added thesis work to this list so I can keep myself accountable. Removed 2.5 hours of studying, cos it's just hard to track. 1 vid and review of hands should do it all.

Heh, you could say that but I'm overall happy with week 5. Basically I was having a hangover most of the time so I'm proud to have pulled off even such a small sample
(it was the week between the 2 uni semesters, everyone wanted to drink)

As for my thesis, it's "Distributed Algorithms and their dynamic applications" or something like that. Math - graph theory, algorithms and a bit of probability theory.

Started watching True Detective. It's a really dark crime story, tho the crime story itself is not dominating - it's all about the characters and their drama. The differences of the two detectives gives ground to a lot of philosophizing (?) about all the important stuff in life - marriage, religion, etc etc.

It's very thought-provoking, while it manages to be really well-paced. The whole pacing somehow gives you the illusion that it's an action/crime story even tho there are almost no action scenes.
The actors (Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey) are really amazing. Didn't think I'd ever say that about the latter back in the day of "Fool's Gold" and other ridiculous things. (Dallas Buyers Club seems to skip my country :( :( wtf man, I so fking hate this!!!)

Anyway, recommend it to everyone except those who can't stand the really dark atmosphere.

Ah, and it has the best intro I've ever seen!

yea that's a good idea too but then you only have yourself to check on you :P
This way I'm accountable towards all my readers (both of them), so that's something :f_biggrin:

Week 6 review: 12 hours of poker is done, all marked hands in not done YET (I never review on weekends so lol, donno if I'll ever be able to say DONE to this one), didnt watch a vid, went to train enough times, and lost count on everything else.

Meh, I really don't want to document my sleeping regime very precisely cos it's really boring, BUT I can say that I'm definitely improving. Feeling more rested and more productive with each passed week, even though I'm not sleeping more.

Other than that, wasn't a very healthy week as I drank beer pretty much every day as I went out with someone pretty much every day. Gonna be the same this week, meeting some poker players today, then theater tomorrow (ok, probably no beer there), catching up with some old friends on thursday, then on friday I'll have an informal meeting in a pub AND a birthday.

And I still have to watch "Her" in the cinema this week. Super busy.

Ah, also, I run a little cultural website with some friends as I love movies, and we're gonna do a little radio show about the oscars for some web-radio. Nothing major, expected listeners is 60-100 tops, but I'm excited :) Recording on friday, airing on monday, will let you know :)

I found the movie something like this: great acting, some good social moral in there, depression, slight twisted hope, depression again, weak ending.

Shortest sum-ep ever, now I'm even more curious to see it (and see whether I agree or not).
BTW, I always thought Vine could be an interesting format for movie reviews

Yesterday, morning session.

Pelbonek on skype: "Dude, come join this FR game, we've been 7-8 people for ages!"

I recognize 2-3 regs, so I join.

Turns out it was 7 regs excluding me and a lonely fish. Thanks man, thanks a lot!
