Thanks SF, will do.
Keep up the good work.
@zachrina thx a lot for the recomandation will defently check it out.
and weeeehhh first time got a blog on site 2
James Clears webinar about habits was excellent, despite many of the concepts he presented I already learned in MYM. It was good to refresh them and some were interpreted differntly.
For example wasnt he so focused on the goal and more on the process. Goals are more a direction and the habits are the vehicel which get you in this direction.
People often think to create good habits you need a lot of willpower. But you can make it very easy to create a habit if you make it tiny and impossible to say no to.
Also you connect them to something you already doing regular for example brushing your teeth or taking a shower.
So for example before you brush your teeth you doing 2 push ups. Out of this tiny habits bigger habits can grow.
There is a very good speech from the creator of http://tinyhabits.com about this.
The following I want to share some of my notes with you.
Focus more on a lifestyle change, which also will create a different mindset, instead of life changing outcomes.
For example running a marathon might be life - changing, running 3 days per week is a new type of lifestyle.
Earning an extra 20k each yer might be life changing, working an extra 5 hours per week as a freelancer is a new type of lifestyle.
So as far as I understand it, the habits you create will bring you to the goal anyways. Habits prevent the yo yo effect from beeing super motivated one day and have no motivation the other day.
Also you dont settle for one outcome you are open for many great outcomes.
Goals are fare from useluss they give you the direction you want going to but once they set put them aside and focus on the process.
A habit has to be important to you, it has to be so small you cant say no to and do not wait for motivation it will come after starting small.
Keystone habits:
His example was working out which helps him to keep other habits like sleep and his eating habits in linie. So he automaticly sleeps better and he wants to eat better to not throw his workout overboard.
In the following the he talked about energy and willpower but I dont want to make this post to long.
For me the keystone habit makes a lot of sense and I am thinking about what would be good ones besides excersising. If you have any ideas let me know.
Also I am wondering what good habits should a succesful poker player bring and how to develop this habits?
What are habits you want to develop?
You can see the full webinar here.

Have you found a way to get rid of that sleepiness after 4pm yet?
I have a fairly irregular sleeping schedule myself and whenever I fix it by waking up at 6 in the morning I end up feeling like a zombie in the evening (4-5pm) until bed time (9-10pm).
Solid Blog.

kind of. after trying it for some time it got better but still not good. so I decided to sleep a little longer. I usually wake up at 8 now which works really good for me.
But I think my sleeping quality overall got better also when i developed a regular sleeping schedule.
I think if you get a regular sleeping schedule will help you a lot. You could try a powernap also. For me it was more a progress to develop a regular sleeping schedule. MAking sure I dont spend all day in front of the pc, beeing outside for at least one hour and some excersise along with watching a little bit more what i eat where key for me.
Stop smoking going good so far but sometimes I miss the little fuckers. This week is just non smoking week so I read a lot and play a lot of video games.
Next week will hopfully be more productive.
Totally on point. If you tend to work a lot in the early hours, a power nap or another recovery ritual (exercising etc.) will help a ton.
it has been a while till my last post.
After my get a non smoker break I had a way easier time to get back into my productivity mode and overall I feel I have way more energy and I hope I am done with them for good.
Also it has been almost a month since my last drink which propably never happened since I was 16. I dont plan stop it for good but the last 2 times it got so out of hand I decided I need to take a break from partying so hard and also proof to myself I am still able to get through a month without drinking.
On the pokerfront there were also some developments.
I am still playing nl 50 hu but I feel I improved a lot the last weeks.
I am working with r4upe atm who is a german hu coach for ps.de and he showed me how to work with poker ranger. Developing cbetting ranges etc. Which is in this deepth quite new to me and I am looking forward to learn more from him.
It is a little strange I feel I have a good momentum running for me in my personal life but I struggle to transfer it to my "poker life". One reason might be I dont have good habits for this.
I am still thinking about what for habits I want to develop for poker and I am still not 100% sure how my pokerday should look like. The rough blueprint looks something like this:
-6 hours a day poker 5 playing/1 theory but for now 4/2
-judging x hands posting x hands
-1 private coaching per week
-1 public coaching from pokerstrategy
-good warm up/cooldown routine
Some of them can be mixed for example while I wait for opponents I can judge hands and work this into my warm up routine.
I will never get this done in just going for it propably so I want to create habits which will get me there.
-1 hour a day with poker
-posting 1 hand I had the most troubel with as cooldown routine (also send it through poker ranger)
-2 minutes of breath excersise as warm up
-1 video per week
this is with what I want to start with and make it grow once it started to stick. I think I will start with adding one habit per week.
Will see how this will work for me.
If you have ideas what good poker habits could be please let me know. Also how would your pokerday look like?

its for clear dreaming.
I just remember what I ve done the last 1-2 hours. Its a trigger for realizing if I am dreaming.
Here is my sheet from last week
http://
the week went ok but still a lot of room for improvment.
On Saturday a close relative passed away so this week will not be an ordinary week.
I will still try to be somewhat productiv but I will cut me as much slack as I think I need and not feel bad about it.

since the last post nothing really happened.
got the funeral behind me and now looking to get ther heritage out of the way.
The last 2-3 days I felt a little depressed again almost like the time before I worked on myself which I see as a sign I griefed enough and its time to get back on the path I created for me.
So on monday I will focus to keep up with all habits and habits in progress and make sure I sit on the tables again and get some volume and theory going again.

He
Before the winter I had a really good morning routine with me going jogging and so on. Over the winter the routine got lost and now I feel its time to develop a new one.
It will look something like this:
-on monday and wednsday i will go jogging
-the rest of the week i will take a walk + kettlebell training, bjj drills
-showering
-breakfast
-reading for about 30 minutes
-writting for 15 min (recap the last day, blog, ideas etc)
-lumosity
-pokertheorie
-meditation
-check emails/facebook for the 1st time
-buy groceries
-prepare lunch
This will propably not be the final form and it will take some testing which order will work better and if I can add task or have to drop some.
Since I am a fan on startng small ending big, I will make jogging/ take a walk, breakfast, reading my priorites and add tasks every week or when I feel I can easily handle more, sine the majority on this list I am already doing throughout my day but its not really triggered by anything neither do I have a specific time to do it.
I just rely on willpower to get it done at any point in the day which isnt really ideal and I can see on my spreadsheet I tend to fail on the same tasks over and over when I have a low willpower day.
Since every decison you make drains a little of your willpower, I take away the need to make decision to some degree by just having a routine I follow which includes a lot of my daily habits.
At the end of the week propably friday I will sit down and make a meal plan for myself for the coming week to make sure I know what to buy and dont run through the supermarket 10 times to end up buying a frozen meal again.
Also a plan what I want to learn on each day will developed on this day. For example
-Monday work on c betting ranges with poker ranger
-Tuesday watch video xyz
-Wednsday work through articel xyz
etc
or if its better I stick to a topic over the week for example just focus on 3 betting ranges.
-Monday 3 betting ranges against player type a
-Tuesday calling ranges against player type a
-Wednsday 3 betting ranges against player type b
etc
At the moment I favor the topic weeks. What you guys think?
Some problems I feel I might be facing are
-just not feel like doing it
-make it as easy and exciting as possible, prepare everything in the evening,
visualize the goals you try to achieve with these habits. Have an audio book ready and
your phone and mp3 player charged.
-raining
-I have cloth to run or walk in the rain. If its really raining hard just train in the house.
I feel I will face more problems but I cant think of any atm if you have any ideas please let me know.
Also to help me develop this I have sombody to hold me accountable for and hopfully kick my ass if I should screw up.

Great blog! Didn't notice it before.
I actually like the idea of topic weeks, so you evolve ideas on some topic over 7 days, this sounds like effective way to learn in more detailed fashion about topics you are intersted in.
Very insightful and interesting posts, please keep them coming.
Definetely subbed and looking forward to more nice reads.
All the best,
Fran
