Could 3betting this turn and take a freeshowdown ui be a line to play here? Im not sure what to do here on the turn.

I think a turn 3-bet isn't wrong... you'll likely have 19 outs, so the chance of him having a worse hand is big enough to make the raise I think. Just calling saves the implied odds for the river though.

I like it as played, he makes a really strange move on the turn check/raising with initiative, so I guess you are probably behind, and the river he makes a strange fold though, I would expect him to call with a set or 2 pair.

This is a bluff from him most likely, he can't fold top pair or something on the river for 14:1.

Nice hand though :) remember this for the future.


Well played. A 3-bet on the turn isn't better here as you won't get him off better hands and it's not for value either. If he is moving you want to see a showdown instead of making him fold his bluff.

Maybe he even folded an overpair on the river as you would never bluffraise here. ;)
