I believe the movement of the cattle forward does not "generate weight" their weight stays the same. Further it does not affect the momentum of the truck as a whole. Also there is no such thing as "forward" mass.

As Newton helpfully pointed out, force = rate of change of momentum. Applying a braking force can therefore only decrease the momentum of the truck + cattle, independent of whether the cattle are flying, fucking, farting or fighting within the truck.
Energy is not measured in tons.
He seems to be trying to say something about the effect of the truck braking and all those poor seatbeltless heiffers hurtling through the air and smacking into the front of the truck. Presumably this means that the force exerted on the object with which the truck collides will have two peaks - one when the truck hits it, and another when the cattle hit the front of the truck. I would imagine that the peak force would depend on the details of the collision, in particular how bouncy that breed of cattle is (their coefficient of restitution as us bovine experts call it). I would imagine that cattle aren't terribly bouncy, but then I've never tried to play squash with a cow.

Yes thank you I did find the reference to newton as well as some hypothesized attempt to disprove, something he said in this regard, with reference to black holes. I plan to use that reference to "ruffle the witness".
Oh all but 5 of the cattle died. They, with a few exceptions, were not even allowed to become beef patties (although I would not be surprised if some of it made its way to the UK). My expert says that these cattle were particularly "bouncy" because the "grid" that was suppose to be in place to keep them in place was lose.
Oh truck collided with the ground. The argument is whether this was as a result of a motor vehicle making an illegal u-turn in front of it or whether this was as a result of certain deficiencies in the braking system and/or some problems with its trailer.
I love these kind of matters. We often get these guys coming to reconstruct with what can only be described as a confirmation bias. Effectively I get free licence to show how uninformed these "experts" are. Its like getting the opportunity to cross-examine those guys from ancient aliens. (oops I forgot your views on the matter :-) )
Reading through Education of a Modern Poker player, and really enjoying it. I think it's great you are a math professor and crushing poker. I am graduating with a Bachelors in Geophysics this spring, and took the standard first and 2nd year calculus, linear algebra, and the 3rd year, year long, PDEs course, and complex analysis. Some numerical analysis as well, but that was done though engineering dept, not math department. Getting through the 3rd year stuff was beyond tough, but I found once I was proficient, (Well as proficient as Geophysics major can be in math), general problem solving was way easier.
Anyway just thought I would drop in and gush my love for math a bit, and say hey! Added you on the community tool as well!

Hey Mineriva, I know sh!t all about poker but I do know a bit about physics. You're truck + cattle can be thought of as a single entity with a collective momentum (velocityx(mass of truck + cows)). Conservation of momentum states that you can only increase the momentum (and hence kinetic energy) of the entity by applying force. As JB says, applying the brake will only decrease the amount of energy in the crash. Their suggestion that the unrestrained cows somehow increase the impact if the crash only works if they weren't part of the original truck system. I.e. someone fired cows at the truck at the moment of impact, with the velocity that the truck was travelling pre-impact. Which would be mean.

I wanted to take 2 random hands and see by how much the equity of hero's hand changes on all streets. Just cause. 
Basically I'll need to take 2 random hands, generate a random flop, calculate hero's equity, get a random turn, store |flopEq - turnEq| in a vector, repeat at will, and calculate mean and standard deviation.
Now that I think of it though, getting a reliable sample is computationally unfeasible in this decade 
Still, a matlab equity calculator would prove useful for future, more reasonable stuff
I had another MTT night tonight, in which I ran like Derek Dogshit, so nothing interesting there, but I played a couple of tables of NL25 Zoom at the same time to keep myself interested and, since it's been ages since I posted a hand, here's one for your perusal. No stats on Villain.
On the flop, I thought double gutshot + two overcards was a reasonable hand to put into my bluff check raising range. I don't want to be checking this flop just to fold every time. When he calls, he probably has some sort of mid pair, so I'm going to have to bet turn and river to get a fold, and I do just that on the blank turn. However, on the river, inspired by the number of thin value bets that I'd had people fold to, I thought an obvious thin value bet with an Ace against his bluffcatching weak pairs was a better way to get a fold than a big bet.

Epic chess game last night. We had a couple of players missing so I was playing board 2 against someone rated 180 (that's about 2100 ELO for all you foreigners), and made a rather speculative exchange sacrifice, which he didn't respond well to in time trouble, to get to this position.
I had about 15 seconds left on my clock to make my move, and cracked off the ludicrous 35. Ra2. 
35. Qh6, with the idea of Rd2 and Ne6 is absolutely crushing. Fml.
When we were both down to about 3 minutes on the clock for the whole of the rest of the game, we got to...
and he offered me a draw. I couldn't see a win, and I think I'm best off swapping into the Queen v two Rooks ending, but my potential to fuck it up seemed so high that I took the draw as we'd already lost the match. All good fun though.
I'm trying to play some more poker atm, so I will report back soon.

I'm currently sitting at the back of a lecture theatre in Warwick listening to a boring talk, but I wanted to report that last night I managed to find the equilibrium solution of the three player [0,1] game, which wasn't quite what I was expecting, but both makes sense and perhaps has something to tell us about real poker in three way pots too. My student and I can now solve for the various possible collusion possibilities. Well done us. 
I'll write it all up for the MPE website once my student's submitted his dissertation.
