Am going to the pkr live mix max event at the end of the month. I already have i flight ticket for londen heathrow.

I would like to know what the best/cheapest way is to get from the airport to the casino (address).

I found some stuff about oyster cards and travel cards, am not sure what is the best for me.

Once am finished with the tournament i would like to go to visit down town londen. Is there some sort of card that offers the best deal? I will be staying in a hotel nearby the casino.

Any advice is welcome

There is a train called the "Heathrow Express" that runs frequents to Paddington station for £20 from the aiport. Then you can catch the Tube train to Stratford for around £5-£10 ish.

It shouldn't be too expensive or difficult. There's a lot of staff around to help with travelling around London, just ask them how to get somewhere and they'll sort you out; they deal with lost people everyday

There are plenty of Taxi's around too, ask them for a price to your Hotel, if it sounds step, haggle! Tell him you'd rather get a train that pay that, he should then come back with a much better offer :)

I don't know anything about oyster cards, not sure it'd be worth it for a short trip though.

How long are you in London for? Oyster cards will save you a load of money but depending on how long you're around for a travel card might be the best option.

Heathrow is on the Piccadilly Line so the best way would be to get the underground (there are three underground stations at the airport so shouldn't be too hard to find). So underground into Holborn then get the Central line train eastbound to Stratford.

edit: Price wise the tube will be ~£5 into stratford from heathrow

edit 2: Once you get to stratford there's a HUUUUUGE shopping centre where the casino is, you really can't miss it lol.

This should help you plan your journey http://www.tfl.gov.uk/ , as for oyster cards they cost around £5 and can be easily topped up. If your gonna be travelling quite a bit Id def reccomend getting an oyster card.

^^ This. I've been in London once and had no clue where I was going. Those guys were always very very friendly and pointed me in the right directions.

thanks for all the tips guys. I just made the reservation for the ibis london stratford wich is at walking distance from the aspers casino.

I don't know how much i will travel, it all depends on how the tournaments will go.

I will have a look at the tips you shared with me.

I am thinking about going downtown and jump into a hop on hop off bus line since i will not spend a lot of time in londen so i think this is the best way to see the most in a short time. I also saw like a hop on hop off boat tour wich looked pretty nice.

If any one has any tips about what to see what to do i would love to hear it.
