To my disappointment, I found out that the €100 token I had bought by WH points could be used only for Monday Night Omaha, an IPO sat or a Razz HUSnG. Though PLO is my main game and the field is about 50 entrants in MNO, I disliked that option because of the variance. And of course I can't attend a live donkament. Neither did I want to wait for Monday. So I regged into a €100 Razz HUSnG and got sat within merely 5 minutes I thought my expected ROI would be -20% to -10%, if not worse :f_cry:, as I was playing a Stud variant for the first time in my life

(Sorry for the terrible HH format, I can't find a converter for iPoker Razz, would appreciate a hint on that. I had a 6 open on the 3rd street and my opponent had a jack open and completed for 40 instead of bringing in 10; it was 40/80 with antes of 5.)

I suspect I was too passive on the 5th, wasn't I? I thought my made king was behind and didn't want to semibluff what I thought was merely a draw to a 7; but looking at it now, I understand that 8-Q outs would have put me ahead too.

Hmm, actually our other big hand was more gorgeous (both 3rd street upcards were 8's):

Damn, I should have 3-bet/called the 4th for fat value and raised/capped the 5th and 6th: he was too unlikely to be playing a backdoor draw like A28-348, especially with a raise on the 4th but a flat on the 3rd, and even then the jack, and even more so the two 8's that followed, were bad cards for him for sure.

At $0.10/$0.20 when he 3Bets I know he haz trips anyway -- may as well get the extra edge.

The difference is very slight anyway.
If you hold trips & D1 you get:
FH: 14.67:1 against
Quads: 46:1 against
combined: 10.75:1 against

If you D2 you get
FH: 15.38:1 against
Quads: 22.5:1 against
combined: 10.5:1 against

So you actually improve to FH a wee bit more often if you D1, and the margin is so slight drawing 2 you aren't giving up much.

Some people draw 2 to a pair+A or K kicker, to disguise when they draw 2 to trips. I love these guys, because they cripple their chances of hitting trips when they do that, and two pair often is not enough.
