nice work georgio . keep it going
thanks SoyCD and srohack!
I played another small session today and finished up close to 2 BI. I also received my 30% rakeback from last month, which was around 500$. I've also decided that this month I'm going to try to become diamond status. I don't really care much about the diamond beside my name ...but I find I'm more motivated to stay focused and grind longer when I have a goal set in my head. This month I have no deposit bonuses to clear, so my goal will be diamond status!

I played a very small 45min session today up just over 2 BI. I feel like I'm playing really focused right now every time i sit at the table which I'm happy about. Also doesn't hurt that I ran pretty hot in the past 2 sessions ♦

Just played about 1.5k hands down 1/2 a BI. It was a pretty swingy session for me, and I'm frustrated right now because on the last hand I lost a whole BI more than I should have w/ TPTK... I feel like I play like a monkey sometimes as I'm blinding off at the tables, so I guess I need to work on that
Other than that I think I played decent throughout. I'll post some hands tomorrow.

im the first time here. u play at Fulltilt? and how are ur stats? ~18/15 i mean i saw it few post before....
if i think back to my FT time....oh damn...that was too aggressive for me at that time. my stats at that time were the same.
do u play nl400 at FT?
hey jezreel,
I play all my cashgames at ladbrokes right now. I also have an account at fulltilt to play mtt's every once and a while, but I've never played cash there (because it's not linked to ps and I don't get rakeback)
At this point I haven't yet taken a shot at Nl400...I'd like to get a little more experience at Nl200 before I move up.
Where/what limit's are you playing right now jezreel?
The last 2 days have been pretty hard. I played about 3k hands at -7BI. On the whole I think I played pretty well, and I'm in the process of looking back at all my hands to hopefully find some more leaks. The only thing I'm very frustrated with is that yesterday I played for about 30min too long without realizing that I was tilting a bit. I think this cost me at most 2BI...but still it shouldn't happen ![]()
All in all I'm happy with my mentality right now. I know that poker is a game involving short term luck and variance is impossible to avoid so all I can do is evaluate my play and keep improving. After all 7BI doesn't even count as a downswing...it's just that last month I ran like GOD and now I'm back to the reality ![]()

Played just under 2k hands today +2.5BI.
Really tried to think about playing well and not about trying to win back losses today...I think that a common problem I have is that when I've been loosing I focus less on playing good poker and focus too much on results. Obviously this isn't good because short term results don't necessarily correspond to how well you're playing.

Thanks lilprincess ![]()
Played just over 1.5k hands up 5BI. I ran really well today and don't deserve most of the profit I think...but hey, I'll take it
! There were a couple of hands today were I got completely outplayed by other regs... i think I learned a thing or two though, so next time will be different.

Played 800 hands today up 1 BI. I think I played very solid. Nothing really exciting happened.

ah ok.....i dont know ladbrokes.
i play at Party NL200/NL400
before that, i played at Pokerkings till NL400€...but now i dont have many time to poker, i make a intership. So im on a limit where my Br is big enought to play a relax poker...so u find me the most of time at Nl200
hope my english is not too bad to understand.
hey jezreel your english is understandable ![]()
So far I've only played 18k hands at Nl200.
ok thx ![]()
than its ok if u play a little bit more on that level, to get more experience!
Since my last update I played another 500 hands at Nl200 up 1.5BI then I was feeling good about taking a shot at Nl400 so I gave it a go. I played another 1k hands up 1BI. I won an all-in preflop with my QQ vs KK hiting a flush...so ya, I'm still running good ♦.
I think I played ok and I definitely don't feel like I'm playing over my head or anything. I find moving up limits is really beneficial for my learning curve because it forces me to play against better players and really focus at the tables. This way I can hopefully continue to improve quicker.
In the next couple of weeks I plan on trying Nl400 whenever I feel up to the challenge. If I go on a loosing swing I'll move back to Nl200 pretty quickly though, because I know I don't have a ton of experience yet.

thanks srohack! I hope I can 'keep it up' a little better than I did in the past 2 days ![]()
I've played almost 4k hands now on Nl400 and I'm down 4BI now at this limit. Right now I'm not totally sure, but I think I played well enough to be beating the limit and don't think I lost much due to bad play. I never went on major tilt and took breaks when necessary, so I'm also happy about that. I guess I'll just have to keep working on improving my game and I'll find out soon enough if I can beat Nl400. I think I'm going to take some more shots at 400 in the next few days, but only if I'm sure that I'm not tilting and ready to play solid. After all, the reason I follow bankroll management is so that I don't have to move down right away if I hit a rough patch.
This evening I also decided to play a session of mtt's which I'm kinda frustrated with because I dropped another 400$ there. I had a small cash in 1 of 5. I have to be honest with myself, I played like shit compared to my best possible game! I've achieved enough self discipline to not play cash games when I think I may be tilting and from now on I'll do the same for mtt's. I just don't focus enough in the early/middle stages if I'm kinda tilted and therefore don't give myself a chance to go deep. Even if it's not as much money as I might have lost playing on semi-tilt in a cash game its still 400$ basically wasted.
This is the biggest swing in $ that I've had to date, and I'm happy with my mentality right now. I realize that a 1.6k swing isn't that much at Nl400. As long as I focus on playing my A game and don't worry about the $ value won or lost on the short term I'll hopefully be back in business soon.
