I did not know all this about you! Now I like you even more cause I can relate to you easier :P

Rhodes is the nuts! Played it many times myself and its amazing sound and feel.
Maybe we can do some lesson exchange in future - you teach me piano, I teach you guitar? :)

Don't have piano nor keys right now but in future why not!

BTW, set list is not complete and there will be more things in there and changes. If it was me, our gigs would be all about originals and hardcore jazz stuff (Brecker, Coltrane, Chick, Herbie etc). But unfortunately, general public is not into that hardcore jazz stuff so you gotta keep their attention with mixture of easy going standards, rock and pop make overs and some originals. Just my 2 cents on it :)

Coffee is bad, you should try to slowly quit it imo. I remember schnitzelfish talking about it and saying its just a temporary fix but it doesn't solve the root of the cause. Alot of water/thee is good.

That is weird cause here in my town Asian restaurant does a lot of fried food in the pans and stuff. I have eaten there around 10 times chicken type dishes and they were mostly friend in pans (with noodles and such). I agree with you, portions are huge and eating all that food can be divided in 2 meals easily :)

Coffee I am decreasing and looking to eventually drink it only couple of times a week instead of once a day or so :)

Oh really? Do you drink some kind of weak coffee (with milk etc.), or is it strong full-blown coffee 3 times a day? :f_eek: How do you sleep then?

P.S. I'm a coffee guy  Strong black tea wakes me up better for poker sessions, but I can't fall asleep for very long into the morning, and also dumping used tea leaves into the trash can is one of my most hated activities.

Yeah I drink double espresso with milk.
It would be nice to do some survey see how many grinders actually drink tea. You are probably the 1st one I've meet so far!

I've never been lucky enough to play a real rhodes, I'll definitely buy one eventually because it's my favorite and most used sound, even the electronic music I make has rhodes sneaked in all over the place.

A lesson exchange sounds great! I really want to improve my jazz guitar, such a wonderful sound.

Yeah it's a bit of a vicious circle. In the UK there are quite a lot of jazz clubs or places that will do jazz nights, but you have to be playing jazz in the first place to be able to play them. Obviously general public are going to be more receptive to coltrane/herbie/miles etc. than Ornette Coleman

I'm very luck that the city I live in embraces even experimental jazz, there are some pretty good places for avant-garde music in general in Brighton.

Are you into Sun Ra by the way?

Congrats on the recognition, Predrag! Your life is so balanced and well-planned that every grinder must take your example as a role model.

Maybe give an interview to SF too.

I wish I didn't, but meth is banned here in Russia, so I drink very strong black tea (aka chifir') as a focus-boosting drug in evenings when I need to grind a ton. (Intake of coffee this strong would perhaps result in a heart attack.) Otherwise my heart is with coffee (but with no milk).

Or not :)

Gratz m8, nice job!

For the tea...am the espresso guy, notin better when u have fresh arabica and solid machine...or french press also works...
imo it s also dependant on ppls metabolism, some are okey with coffee but not tea (might be my case), most are opposite...i mean that for someone coffee or tea is just stomach-ache after some time :)

There're actually quite a few :). Mostly people who've read and implemented my productivity guide/my clients though, so people who actually care about top performance and self-improvement.

Getting rid of coffee probably isn't the top priority in the world, but from the people I've worked with, a lot of them have experienced far more consistent energy levels and less insomnia after transitioning to green tea.

On the other hand, the first few weeks off coffee suck energy-wise, which is why it's hard for people to withdraw from it (they don't want to "miss out" on the hours that they would lose with this).

What would be interesting is to see which people tend to drink coffee and which tend to drink tea. My assumption would be that people who have crappy nutrition tend to drink coffee more to compensate for the low energy levels. People who eat more healthy tend to have consistently high energy levels already and they don't really need coffee 95% of the time.

I have a cup of coffee in the morning, rarely more.
I drink a cup of black tea -- sometimes spiced -- in the afternoon.

I don't notice either have any effect on my energy.

What has the most effect on my energy and cognitive ability is sleep.

The problem is that coffee intake harms sleep :f_frown:

Well I am definitely no expert on nutrition or...nor I read much about this problematics.

But from my personal experience - coffee in the morning is just BS talkin about energy - u just woke up and your body knows that and is refreshed (obv considerin u sleep well, if not, coffee s not the solution neither...). Not gonna talk how u should or shouldnt eat, am personally eatin in my opinion healthy, but should eat more vegetables and fruits, should have bigger breakfast and so on...gettin to my point - am the person who believes in EATIN/DRINKIN w/e your body wants, what u feel for, what makes your day happy and calm and so on...this is kinda hard, def in my country, where in every single product I wanna buy is some glutaman or other E shit, but if u try and get sometin from smaller local farmers or have own garden or sometin, u never wanna taste different...so here I come to coffee - I like the smell, I like the taste, I like the preparation, style, I enjoy it. I dont feel my heart beat goin up or myself bein unable to sleep or sometin after many hours...I just love coffee, get the best I can, make espresso or french press and enjoy it once or twice a day...again, same as food, if u gonna buy some instant shit that s made from black robusta or stones or ash or shit like that and is few years old, u gonna put extra three sugars in and some milk - that s def not gonna make your stomach happy :)

Anyways, the most important thing for your energy levels is sleep...like it or not...big % of ppl have some kind of sleepin disorder, not even knowin about it or u simply live in stress or have kids or w/e :) thn it is super hard to maintain any kind of regime or so...

So in ideal universe, I would be full of energy thx to the sleep i get in hours I want, wake up and eat what I like, I mean body wants and I still believe cup of espresso would be what I want...:)

Might be totally offtopic this post, dunno, my body wanted few beers and now I browse forum

Eating less gives you more energy and helps you live longer. Ask any lab rat!

I lost weight by just checking the calories of my food. I didn't know I was eating high calorie food. Spaghetti carbonara, burgers etc. In my culture though, watching calories is seen as just for women. Hence, we have the lowest lifespan in the UK, if not Europe. Comedians joke that there is a sign as you enter Scotland saying " no salad for 200 miles"
