I lost my stats from last week, somehow So I started anew, these stats include quite a lot of 2-4 handed so will be somewhat skewed as I tried yoghis patented "start new tables only" strategy :P

It didn't work out so well as around 350$ of loss in these stats is in the headsup stage, mostly against the guy who features in my latest downswing thread. Anyways by my standards this was an above average week with only -0.64BB/100!

Goals

-Become a winning player at 2$/4$
-Try and clear the ENTIRE deposit bonus (880$) that I made recently, so far 50% of the way to the first 1/5th

Okay, today's been a revelation to me, I signed up for a free DC trial and have been downloading as many videos as I can get my hands on, and watching "RL microlimit grinder" I realise that I should be focusing far more on my poker education and letting the actual poker take a back seat for a while.

I'm gonna quit 2/4 for now cause clearly it's not working out, the thing I don't like about poker compared to other things forms of competition like sports/games is that if you are good the results are immediately tangible while in poker you never really know till you've put a lot of hours in playing the hands, so I'm gonna forget the "I'm gonna grind this out" mentality and only play 1/2 which is like shooting fish in a barrel (pun intended) and is guaranteed money for me no matter how bad I'm playing if I need to play at all.

My goals are just:

-Improve my game to the level where I can easily crush 2/4-3/6 and be a steady winner on 5/10 before attempting 2/4 again.

-I'll do this by judging lot's of hands, watching other peoples sessions, watching videos, read the articles properly so I can understand all of the concepts and try to employ them in my game.

-Study the DC videos and maybe get active on their forums & maybe 2+2 as well as pokerstrategy to get a variety of thought processes and opinions on hands.

-After I beat the low limits up to 5/10 (hopefully by the end of the summer holidays in February)I should be well equipped to improve my own game and be able reach whatever limit I have the motivation to do so!

-Buy a digital piano partially with a cashout made after I make some more money on 1/2$ so that I can see the tangible gains from my hard work.

-Pass all my uni courses

-Go to black member party maybe 3-4 parties in the future depending on progress -> meet tribuncaesar -> devirginise tribuncaesar -> ??? -> Profit!

No more downswing excuse bullshit, after my exams which finish on november 11 I have until 27th of february next year to go hard and I expect to put in at least 6 hours a day on average 4-6 days a week of studying/playing poker.

I told you few weeks ago that DC has great contents. It's really good for the english community that you gonna and learn from them cuz your videos for PS will be much better in few months :P (or maybe faster, I don't know how much time you can spend on poker)

Yeah they're awesome, and they give me ideas for video making for PS, like maybe I should do some series on specific concepts and stuff, that would be sweet.

If you think that getting AIDS is a profit, go ahead with tribun!

Good luck though :) Watch Mano a Mule and you wouldn't have lost so much in HU.

Hey guys, exams are over so I'm gonna make at least one blog post every 2 days.

I made a new database so I can start anew away from my past downswings and stuff, I'm watching videos regularly and always reading hands in the forums and I'm gonna try get at least 1-2K hands a day played on party/stars.

Here's my play from today, I played 1/2 & .5/1$ cause there were only 3 tables of 1/2 running.

+66.82$ in 1/2 in 1288 hands, 2.59BB/100
+22.45$ in .5/1 in 378 hands, 5.94BB/100

A pretty decent start to the new era, my plan for the next month or so is to grind 1/2 hard while watching videos & get the 700$ pokerstrategy bonus. After conquering 1/2 convincingly after at least 20-30K hands I'm gonna hopefully crush 2/4 and then I'll cross that bridge when I come to it ;)

Also brainstorming for a new video series I'm planning on making, check out the fixed limit forum for my thread on it if you have any thoughts/feedback!

P.S. I also vow to not missing any more coachings ever :P

Blah! Had a horrible session but posted many hands in the sample hands forum, all of them second pairs and in all situations I lost the showdown, everyone kept showing up with a better hand constantly the whole time =(

Also I the last 6 pocket queens & last 3 pocket jacks I lost every hand!

-196.35 | -12.4BB/100 @ 1/2$ in 791 hands,

Total 1/2+- -102.53, -2.47BB/100

BR = 1180$

Plan on playing a good session tomorrow morning and maybe going for a run for the first time in my life, god damn I'm tired, goodnight.

Hey guys, played a few more thousand hands, and way way too much Fight Night Round 3 for xbox 360 than I should be...

Anyways, here's the results from the past few days:

09/11/08

+58.07 , 1059 hands, 5.5BB/100

10/11/08

-37.38, 648 hands, -5.7BB/100

11/11/08

-13.5 , 1301 hands, -1BB/100

+100$ from PartyPoints rakeback

Since new database 1/2$, 6426 hands, -134$, -1.09BB/100

Played a decent winning session today! Who would have thought it possible..
Though I still lost hands with 2nd vs nut flush & with a full house I managed to beat
1418 hands, +93$, +3.3BB/100

Lifetime 1/2$

7844 hands, -41.09$, -0.26BB/100

BR = 1387$

The past 2 days have been full of really sick suckouts and super mega hyperlagtards who run like the sun and don't fold Q high but still I turned a profit of +159$ at around 3876 hands = 2.05BB/100

I'm posting the few hands I have trouble with, but on the whole I think I'm playing some pretty solid poker and tilting less than normal, I also hit silverstar on PokerStars, yay!!

Just for the record, according to my CYB my lifetime 1/2 winnings stand at over 2000$, so more than 1000BB. I'm gonna grind to at least 20K-25K hands at at least 1BB/100 overall at 1/2 in my new DB before I take down 2/4 at long last. I'm motivated by the thought of playing 5/10 and up and winning 1$ per hand :D

Before december I'm aiming for:

-2/4$
-Watch all of the RLMLG season 1 and 2 by that time too
-Make the first 2 episodes of my new beginner series, open to suggestions on the title of the series :)

Since beginning of Nov. (lifetime from now on)

11,720 hands, +118.15$, +0.5BB/100 paying 2.86BB/100 in rake, sigh.

BR = 1493$
