I guess many members from previous Korean community might not evey bothering to come to English page any more, which is expected. However, if you by chance stumbled upon on this, please leave a reply so that we could keep it going for a while till we have our own corner.

한국 커뮤니티 유저분들이 그다지 영어페이지에 오지는 않을 것으로 예상은 했습니다. 우연히 이 게시물을 보시게 되면 간단히 답글을 달아주세요. 근근히 한국어 페이지를 유지해서 가다보면, 언젠가는 한국어 코너를 따로 가질 수 있다고 기대합니다.

good effort trying to shout to some korean members.
I used to be in the korean community as well. it's unfortunate that it was closed down, but then again, i haven't been fairly active in poker or in ps myself over the last couple of years.

I used to play regular fixed limit 3/6 around 3 years ago and was inactive for a couple of years.
Started to look into NL in the end of last year and started playing again in January this year. (NL10)

I'm now playing NL25/NL50 and hope to settle for the time being on NL50 to get some income on the side. If it goes well, I might take some shots on NL100.

I hope there are some other members who'll join in.

참고 : 저는 터보 또는 하이퍼 터보 토너먼트만 플레이합니다.(가끔 오마하)
참고 2 : 난 영어를 매우 못한다. 작은(?) 영어는 안다. 가끔 문법을 틀린다.

2014(year)/1월, 난 오마하를 플레이해서, 150$를 벌었으나 120$이상을 잃고 파티포커를 더이상 하지 않았다. 그리고 poker770 에서 오마하를 다시 도전했으나 50$이상을 잃고 포기한다.
2014(year)/1(January), I played omaha, 150$ win but 120$ lost and no playing partypoker. and in poker770, retry challenge omaha but 50$ lost and give up.

(and crazy bad running.... 그리고 미친듯이 배드런..... at February ... 때는 2월... )

2월 28일 우연하게 358$을 얻은 나는, 엄청난 굿런으로 100$을 더 벌었다. 그리고 3월에 100를 오마하에서 잃고 150$이상을 토너에서 잃었다.
그러나 난 아직 돈이 남아있다.(+-300$) 난 계속 토너를 도전할것이다. 파산할때까지...(미쳤다...)

2(February)/28(day). I coincidence a get 358$, a good run as get a 100$ money. and in March, 100$ lose the omaha and 150$ lose the tournament.
but I remain moeny(+-300$). I continuing challenge tournament. I until bust....(crazy........)

3월 마지막 주. 난 크게 잃었다.(200$보다 더 많이) 이유는 런이 안좋아서? 또는 플레이가 나빠서? 난 이걸 이해할 수 없었다. 그리고 지금은 오마하를 그만두었습니다. 나중에 토너먼트에서 큰 돈을 얻고... 난 다시 오마하를 도전할 것이다. 0.02/0.04$(EUR?? include)
3(March) final week. I big lost money(more than 200$) because run is bad? or play is bad?
I don't understand this.
and now stop playing omaha. after tournament big money get... I will retry omaha 0.02/0.04(EUR?? include)

My play at 10NLO8 ZOOM is in slow, but steady progress.

저는 최근에는 노리밋 오마하 하이로우를 스타즈 ZOOM에서 5/10레벨에서 플레이하는데, 일이 끝나고 집에 와서 잠깐씩 두 테이블을 합니다. 홀덤도 다시 해보고 싶기는 한데, 우선은 현재 레벨의 오마하 하이로우에서 꾸준히 틸트없이 수익을 내는 연습을 하다보니까 시간이 안납니다. 틸트가 올 때 조금만 더 빨리 침착해진다면 10bb/100 정도는 꾸준히 할 수 있을 것 같습니다. 나중에 대니 한 님이나 skz1024님께 홀덤핸드를 물어볼 기회가 있을지 모르겠습니다. 오마하(하이)는 저도 책도 사고 배우려고 했지만 너무 어려워서 접어두고 있습니다.

skz1024님을 독일어(Deutche)를 주로 하십니까? 저는 독일어는 아주 예전에 기초는 배웠지만 이제는 다 잊었습니다. 가끔은 독일어나 불어로 써 주셔도 됩니다. 직접은 못 읽지만, 요즘 구글 번역이 유럽쪽 언어들은 어느 정도 하는 것 같습니다.

skz1024, sounds like you had a bit of an action run.
I also got out of a downswing recently, lost about 800$ but fortunately could catch myself before having to move down a limit.

한국어랑 독어도 하는데 관리자들이 영어로 글남기는것을 원하는거 같으니 그냥 영어 쓸께요.

I'd like to have a look into some other games like omaha or stud, but never really took the time. The only games I have played are FL and NL BSS.

Are you guys living in Korea or overseas? I've just randomly followed the Korean Poker news and it seemed like online poker was running into problems in Korea. What's the status there?

I'm in Canada, so the online poker is pretty good here. The only set-back recently was that we lost Skrill (Moneybookers) as payment processor.

I started from NL SNG and found Omaha hi-lo, and try to learn it, and fell in love with it. The major problem is that the player pool is quite small.

how's the game on NL SNGs? I was always wondering about the likelyhood to actually make money with it compared to cashgames, but it seems like a number of ppl can push their BR with SNGs quite a bit.
I've been very much focused on cashgames until now, but wouldn't mind to try other things.

I have not played NL SNG for a couple of years, except NLO8 SNGs sometimes. Playing 15-30 min SNGs are good way to cool down when I am on tilt.

I bought and read several times the SNG book by Moshman, and watched some of his videos on SNG games in this site. But I was never really confident above $5 level back then. The variance in SNG, I guess, is not that much compared to MTT or even cash games.

It could be a pain to use English for some Koreans, I know. But we are on the English community forum now, so please bear with it for a while till we could have our own Korean forum and a moderator. Google translate, if you should.

한국분들 중에서는 영어로 하는 것이 힘든분들도 있겠지만, 우리가 영어 커뮤니티에 있는상황이라서 당분간 불편하게 버티지 않으면 안될 것 같습니다. 언제가는 우리말 포럼과 관리자가 생기지 않을까하고 바랍니다. 정 어려운 분들은 한글로 작성하고 구글 번역기로 영어를 붙여써 보도록 하면 어떨까 합니다.

If you find Omaha Hi was interesting, how about trying Omaha hi-lo? On stars, I find the 2NLO8 zoom is always running well, and 2PLO8 cash tables are also open with players. It could be a good bankroll builder for a beginning player.

오마하를 좀 해보셨다면, 스타즈에서는 오마하 하이로우 zoom이 0.01/0.02에 잘 돌아가고, 2PLO8 캐쉬테이블도 사람이 좀 있는 편입니다. 뱅크롤 쌓기로는 나쁘지 않습니다.

I also tried Omaha hi in micro levels, and it was too tough game for cash tables, and SNG was rather easy to dip into. It could be different as of 2014, though.

i occasionally play live but not often. The nearest game is in Daegu and im near Busan so its a little bit of a hike.

Omaha seems to have a high variance compared to Hold em. I thought Hold'em would have a higher variance due to so many recreational players in the pool.

it's definitely a good way to get some change if you're in a downswing.
I don't think anyone enjoys playing a lot if being caught in a downswing.
What I do personally is to spend more time with theory, watching videos, reading up on some articles, or just browsing the forum for some interesting stuff.

I think the purpose of the 'break' is more about getting your mind set back to 'neutral' again after a down, as a wrong mindset like 'villain is going to suck me out on the river anyways' might have a rather negative impact on your A game (for me anyways). I hope you're getting out of it soon and can continue working on your game.
