FTOPS semifinal, villain is R4isy daisy, good reg, having massive chiplead and messing around quite a bit. My image was tightish I guess, i did not play a lot of pots with that massive chipleader. I am like 6/16 at the time. F a T standart given the $%^ equity we have, but on the river I took the safe approach, given that I have no idea about his frequencies in this spot

Shove?

~40% of time gta work to breakeven. I think works way more often than that too since I expect him to be super weak by river and people imo still give too much credit to big overbets - sure we rep thin bla bla bla but you have bet/bet/bet at least.

I don't mind your line btw and I would probably only shove depending on history with opponent/percieved image.

Also what is payout structure in this?

What do you think about bigger bet sizes? Even maybe overbet on the flop?

Sometimes I also do it with nutty hands, sometimes with draws and very few times air. Here we could put way more presure on their weak bluffcatch hands and have decent EQ vs anything.

Nah don't like that seems like throwing equity+implieds away in position

I would just throw away or shove - though you could also make value looking bluff 25bb maybe?

Hi all,

I like a bluffraise on the river here. I'm not going to do it with many hands, so I think it's fine, especially on this river. Any 8x (bottom gutshot) or Ax hand I'm calling the river, so we're not going to get exploited very much.

Ok thank you guys, if you say raise river your sizing is 20-25BB, right? And what is the bottom of your river raising value range? Id say KJ is close

Hi,

I think betting flop 4bb is a little better option than half pot bet. That allow you to make bigger turn bet.
About your river raise range:
If you have reasonable 3-bet range then I think he would not put you on JJ/TT and also 88 might check back turn.
So that leaves JTs, 66, 22 and maybe 97s your river raise range.
Second question is if you´re going to raise river you AT, QJ hands- if answer is no (as you said KJ is quite thin, although to me quite standard 16bb raise) then he is likely also going to b/c with wide range+ it also seems he tries to induce/get value rather than hoping you have there draw and fold.

I would likely fold 60%, call 10% (for information) and raise 18BB 30%.
You may also consider betting 14BB on the turn. Very few players are willing to call on showdown against overbets.

best regards,

Hi all,

OK so here with the raise, it has to look like (thin) value, if he's a thinking regular we're not going to get him to fold any of his real inducing range, and we're only going to get him to fold blockbets. So I like anywhere between 11-15bb raise here with our specific hand. As for our range after taking bet/bet line I think any Jx+ in our call range preflop is good enough (QJ included). I think AT should be a raise also but I would not be doing it.
