About staking, it look hopeful. Might get some nice deal what will allow me study and play more productive.

That man has too many doves hidden about his person!

Spoiler

I assume he gets them from behind the cage when he puts them in there?

But yeah, pretty ridiculous and very impressive. 3:30 especially is mad.

Ok, i should post some updates.

*Left poker stake
*Have no big bankroll but enough for playing myself some games and grind it up
*seeking stakes for mtt/sngmtt
*Considering cash games, some friends seem beating micro-low for pretty good $/hour. Long time wanting improve postflop especially turn/river and even under last stake always asked play cash when ending session. More stable winnings also is amazing + bankroll is no needed that big.

Got stake.

Overall i feel i no need anymore update my blog to stay motivated/productive. I will update here 1-2 times per week to no spend too many time here.

Overall all is going fine in my life.
I am some worried about USA poking Russia who can hurt western economics lot more then we can hurt eastern economics. We all know USA is biggest debtor in world and EU is in bad shape already, it like bank debtor go and do sanctions on bank.
There is already lot of deals arranged without USD what definetly long-term will lead to hurt lot USD who is printed from thin air and is accepted everywhere only because you need arrange gas and oil with transaction involving USD not other currency but it seem going to change. We all know USD is now not broke (debatable) only because there is petrodollar and if no one need USD anymore to buy resources it all will be sold back to US hurting it lot and very probably imploding western economy, and when US is broke it partners like EU is with same problems.

Nice going on the stake.

The thing about USD and poker is that most european sites operate in EUR already. Also, pokerstars offer a direct exchange from USD to EUR and vice versa (and they operate transactions in EUR anyway). Therefore, losing in the long run due to currency rate fluctuations is nigh impossible - you just have to switcharoo them as soon as the decrepit banking systems hit rock bottom.

Other currencies will be hit less by global economic reset then USD but still anywhere where you live it will hit you in some level.
It not that much about Ukraine crisis or similar but that economic system can't continue work way it doing right now. There is lot of bubbles going to bust next months/years.
Poker and gambling probably will be way what will no be hurt that much by it because in hard times low stakes games player pool even might increase because when hard times come people often find themselves getting into drugs or gambling.
I don't want listen as doomsday predictor. I just say what is obvious if you are not ignorant to things what going around you.
It seem very obvious for me that you must know rules in system where you live and right now rules is made by criminals.

@acerbikas, for better understanding of my posts please define words "store of value", "fiat-currency", "purchasing power"

USD/EUR or whatever else currency don't have store of value and loosing fiat-currency sum in bank is lot different then loosing purchasing power with same sum in bank and can be lot more damaging.

Anyway first goal seem going good, now can play any hours i want (previous staker not allowed play peak hours because more regulars) and will probably make 1000 games/month soon.
Declined sngmentors offer to go with private staking team for more flexible staking deal and no minimal games/months before leaving.

Still studying very active and feeling very good about my game but def place to improve.
Will start play pokerstars.fr because weak field there.

In summer there will be new gambling regulations in my country but i think it will no effect much, pokerstars got license in same situation in Estonia and other European countries. It should not be issue but will see.

About results, +300$ last 2 days when started play under new staker and lot more volume. Got some 8$/3.5r/a$ 180man good places mostly.
Played some cash and made 20$ or so. Decided will study cash games additional to tournament for better understanding about 100bb+ play.

Some good 180man places for around 670$ (335$ to staker)

Anyway SCOOP coming up, will change some sleeping/playing/studying routine to be able play most of low events.
Seem in theses events will be lot more recreational players attracted by big prize pools then other usual daily mtt. :) :f_cool:

Still studying lot, reviewing hands, watching videos. Will renew tourneamentpokeredge subscription, it seem have some real good poker videos series.

From tomorrow will study with new staker, right now he have friend visiting and have no much time.

I have decided go vegan for some reasons:

*My health
*Unbelievable animal torture (Recommended movie: Earthlings)
*Less expensive

It probably will not be that hard for me as most people. I already using very little meat, cow milk, cheese in everyday diet. Will cut some products more and it will be that. Will have lot more fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts ect in diet.

Hi Kapurs,

Nice to read that things are going well.

And that you started to eat more vegan is very good man!
Me myself also, i do not at all agree the way animals are badly treated and like you say, even tortured and abused.
So i only drink biological milk and eat only once a week biological meat.
That is from animals that have enough space and can go outside.

Do you have to vote also on 22nd may for the European Parliament?
Then please vote on the Party for the Animals.

For my poker, i studied on 3betting and improved a little bit.

regards, adelaar

Hi adelaar,

I am quitting all meat and animal products eating. It great you also think about animals.
There definitely is ton of propaganda everywhere to make people don't care from where they food come from.
Overall most people is totally brainwashed in lot topics but for them it easier to no think and trust promises and made up "facts" from other people not research themselves and decide themselves.

We have voting at 24th may, will look up if i can vote for that party.

I have been posting here for less then month and i have noticed lot positive changes in my:

*In game focus
*Studying habits
*Sporting habits
*Eating habits
*Researching things outside poker
*Knowing myself better
*Energy levels during day

Soy milk>>>>>Cow milk by taste and for health.

Another thing what i have decided be my long-term goal is going fully raw, what mean nothing processed.

Some things what i still need work on:

*Create more specific system how many hours in day i do x and how many hours in day i do y.
Sometimes doing things in some more chaotic way then i should.

Played SCOOP event 1 low and busted early.

Hi Kapurs,

I think you did have to edit your post?

I installed sideKick but do not know how it cooperates with Pokerstars.
Must you have the same name on Pokerstrategy as on Pokerstars?

Do you know how this works?

Yesterday i watched the video of bigdog that won twice the sunday million on that place that you mentioned and that you will take maybe a subscription.

Regards, adelaar

Hi adelaar,

Yeah i had to edit some posts earlier.

I really don't have experience with sidekicker. You probably can ask it to Pokerstrategy support, they are very friendly and helpful in my experience.

As i said there is lot of resources out there nowadays, both free and paid and it all depends how you use them. For me it seem you are wanting to learn game and just seeking best way to do it.
I think creating blog yourself might help, you might post what problems in poker you have and others might be able easier answer and you will surrender yourself with community what is willing to learn and give advice. You also no need share any poker/non poker information what you don't want. For example i don't share my pokerstars screenname to not get searched by google for this blog from poker friends. I keep this blog for me only not to everyone i know to know i am making blog.
Also if you think it take too much time to sustain blog, it all up to you how much updates you want to post per month ect. :)

Should post some updates.

Grinded from 0 to 2000$ under stake, started play pokerstars.fr and will play into winamax. Considering some other sites also but no super mass tabling so might not even have need.

Here my graphs for this year:
On pokerstars.eu

On pokerstars.fr

Now when having bankroll will leave staker and will play my own. I don't feel i need more money to grind it up and have no real studying/tilt/overestimating problems where need mentor for 50% my profit.
Will buy some couching for my own profit if will need some advices.

Really my short-term goals have changed some and i don't consider volume 1000 games > quality and focus playing less tables but opposite. So it prob not anymore actual.

Reading this book, another great ed miller book
http://www.amazon.com/Pokers-1%25-Secret-Keeps-Players-ebook/dp/B00IXVMJXE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399973464&sr=8-1&keywords=1%25+poker

I found it lot more easier for me and can focus lot easier when reading poker books not when watching poker videos. So will add some more books over videos in future studying process.

Hi Kapurs,

Very good results!
How come that your status is basic? Is your Pokerstars not linked to PokerStrategy?

Can you releave a few secrets from Ed?

Hi adelaar,

I don't have pokerstars linked to pokerstrategy. I was trying link betfred to pokerstrategy but there was some issues.

This book is about frequencies in NL holdem what might be hard to understand if you are new to poker.
You might want look up some easier books like:
Small Stakes Holdem by Ed Miller, David Sklansky, and Mason Malmuth
No Limit Hold ‘em Theory and Practice by David Sklansky and Ed Miller
Phil Gordon’s Little Green Book by Phil Gordon

I dunno what works best for you, videos or books. But both have benefit in any case.

GL.

Hi Kapurs,

Thanks for your information.

I learned to play poker with the 2 books of Phil Gordon, the green and the blue one!
Last few weeks i started to play with the charts of w34z3l for the micros and that helped me.
I think the books of Ed Miller and Sklansky are very good.
They are both experts in statistics i think.
Are the frequencies conform the standard deviation? (and then maybe there is another way of calculating your outs?)

Best regards

Hi adelaar,

It sounds really good. Using charts is seem reasonable while starting out.

About calculating outs, i think it concept where you just learn with experience and more you play and calculate your outs easier it get. I don't have hear any alternative to calculating outs then just doing it and with time it become almost automatic.
If you really struggling with pot odds/calculating outs during play search Google "poker outs calculator" and look up good one that you can use during play, i believe all poker rooms allow use theses softwares. Also most of them have good "get it free" promotions if software is no free.

I am only in 1/3 of book, i am taking my time with book and taking lot notes and no try fast read but really learn, but it more about where people make mistakes by having too much folding frequencies or calling frequencies.
For example if we open preflop and player call lot more hands then need preflop and fold flop when he miss it.
So he no continue enough frequent on flop and we print money betting 1/2 pot almost any board whatever hand we have.

This is very simple example but book is about making you thinking less about ranges/odds/board textures and more about frequencies. How we can keep our frequencies closest to correct and by reading hands/adjusting to very incorrect frequencies win money from other players and where people make most mistakes by folding/calling too frequent.
For example most regular players continue on turn/river not that frequent after making standard cbet very frequent and if you know they have big gap between they flop cbet and turn bet % you no really need know your hand IP to just print money from him on good boards by calling flop any hand and betting turn after they check huge % times.

If you are not that confident in your hand reading skills you might be interested read first How To Read Hands At No-Limit Hold'em by ed miller

Book i am reading have concepts what is very easy to interpret incorrectly on lower stakes by misunderstanding them(super important) so i recommend read it sometime later when you feel more confident in your understanding about outs/odds/boards/hand strengths/hand reading or if you feel confident enough now sometime sooner, whatever book you choose to read now take your time with book and no fast read it and you can discuss topics what is unclear or interesting with me or someone else here at forum if you have need/want it.

Hi Kapurs,

The simple example that you write: that is the way I use to play.
I look for the players that often call my open-raise.
Then no matter if I hit on the flop I bet half of the pot.
And then this players normally fold because they have nothing.

What the book says is really very good.
Watch which players have incorrect frequencies.
If I see that a player open-raises to often, then I expand my coldcall-range on the blinds.
If I see that players fold quite quickly, then I bet on flop or turn to make them fold.

Furthermore a lot of players do not know to play the turn well.
So indeed often you just 2nd barrel on the turn to make them fold.
To be break even with this it has to succeedd about 2 of 3 times I think.

The video of w34z3l of Mindset also says that in a way your mindset is more important than your technical skills!

I play 6-max tables. Do you play 6-max at the moment or do you play SNG and MTT?
