Hiho a friend of mine told me today about this blog so here I am:) I dont know if you remeber me but we had I nice party in Prague 2 years ago (diamond pokerstrategy party). I was at the table with you, JQ and hurloon. I still remember some stories you were talking about living in Asia. Anyway are you available for some skype strategy talks? You surely have noticed me at the nl100 zoom tables:) Btw. I haven´t found an answer for your question about notecaddy. I use it myself and can share some info if you want. PS: gl with nl200, I hope I will shot it myself within 2 monts.

Yo guys!

Nothing new really.. during the weekend I said I was gonna mix in some 200 tables, I somehow got drunk and didnt feel I am in shape to do that

Last week, exam period started, so I havent been playing much..
On the plus side, 2exams are done, so yaaay.. Really miss the grind though.. its gonna be at least 2 more weeks of not too much manuvrbility (def spelled it right ) with my time :(

Today im going to London for 2 days with the gf.. She aced her exams already, so she def deserves to catch a break..

If anyone has any suggestions of what is a mustsee but ppl dont know it, lmk !
Also if you have any tips on anything, like transportation or whatnot.. I didnt really have much time for look into things and plan everything properly so I would use any bit of advice! :)

Cheeeers!

Buy day tickets for public transport (~£8 each) and don't lose them; it's simple as that...

ad attractions: it's not unknown but quite new: http://www.theviewfromtheshard.com/en/ I think you have to book time slot in advance and pray for good weather, but it might be worth it.

Definitely worth doing if you can. Weather sucks here at the moment though!

Can't think of any attractions off the top of my head (tbh I haven't done that much touristy stuff). If I think of anything I'll post itt. But for a few drinks:

Paramount is a pretty cool cocktail bar, its on the ~30th floor so really nice views over central London (nearest tube Tottenham court road.)

Nightjar has won loads of awards, and I've heard good things from friends but I've never been. (Old street tube - the station is big so could be hard to find this place!)

And for pints and a Sunday roast; The Sir Richard Steele up in Belsize Park. Although there's a place in Morden my friend said does the best Sunday roast in London, but Morden's a dump so I'm a bit sceptical

And try to stay away from London eye.

Tip: Fly over UK and land in Ireland instead ;)

Same weather, 1/2 the price, 2x the fun!

Hello there pokerstrategist!

I have gone quiet for some time, but I may be back here again to do some blogging every now and then.
I should start out with a short recap of what happened in 2014 and then make some goals for the 2015!

As anyone who cares knows, I have been working on my game with BrokesoBroke, the evil villain:))
My longterm deal ended in december, but our friendship and cooperation will continue for many years to come hopefully.
It has been great pleasure and huge help for me both pokerwise and lifewise. I am most grateful to him, he really turned my life upside down. From being on the verge of busto to being worth 70k$ in year.. I didnt expect that in my wildest dreams!

I have started from being b/e at nl25.
Today I play mostly nl100, some nl200 and there was a tiny shot at nl500 as well, but that just feels bit out of my reach.
Main reason I dont play nl200 as my main limit is simple.. It is bit more demanding, requires more thinking, average player is way better than nl100 average player.
I have not yet come to the point where i make higher hourly at nl200 than nl100.

girrafomills

Spoiler

The end of the year wasnt that great for me, ran pretty bad both in EV and setups, which decreased my overall winrate quiet a bit, but still 3+bb/hh(3,9EVbb) feels pretty okay, considering my nl25 and nl50 winrates are lower than nl100 :))

It has been a great year for me, I managed to get back to the game to the point of being able to support very nice and decent lifestyle
 Moved into a new appartment with girlfriend
 Had a vacation in London
 Had a vacation in Greece
 Had a vacation in New York
 Ate tons of good meals
 Binked a live MTT

Something that needs pointing out.. New York is absolutely fantastic!!! We went in the beggining of December - wanted to get psyched up for the Xmas and was not dissapointed, quiet the opposite actually. New York is the first place that really amazed me and made me want to come back again in near future.

After a nice start of December in New York, I moved to Prague Corinthia Towers hotel which held place of GRANDLive series into which I qualified for $170 (im not an MTT guy, but come on, Prague is 35km from where i live so I had to try ) and somehow managed to get to the final table on which, eventho started as a shortstack I was massively chipleading and if I wouldnt have lost AQ v KJs and AA v 46s 5 and 4 handed, I would have totally shipped that.. But after those hits, stacks got pretty even, so we made a deal and I bagged 39,442€. Not bad for 4days of sitting and getting bored to death

Spoiler

Goals for 2015

:club: Pwn nl200 Zoom
:club: Widen my protfolio of poker sites and play some juicy higher stakes games, (the dream is to play some nl1k hands if the conditions are right, but wont push it)
:club: Eat healthy
:club: Excercise more
:club: Keep on working on my game and improving

What is the best way to improve? talk poker and study poker with poeple.. so If anyone wants to talk some strategy and stuff, add me:))

Good luck to everyone in 2015!!!

Heyho!

So after my todays grind I didnt want to go sleep yet and had this idea in my head that I wanted to try out..
So I played nl25zoom with 100VPIP.. just ~100 hands today... :profit::profit::profit:

I played HUDless obv, so it was bit challenging, im considering getting some hands for nl25 to be able to adjust to opponents better.. like this I wasnt too sure which hands to 3b rather than call and play postflop

Also it will start to be interesting when ppl pick up on this, most of them dont know i am total retard yet

Looks like it will be quite the setup :)
Recently built one myself, but went with some cheaper options.
Then ended up putting a video card in afterwards anyway

Went with core i5 & 8gb RAM, everything else is fairly similar.
SSD was the best investment I've ever made :f_love: :f_love: :f_love:

This is a hand we played last night against each other. What was your thinking process here? Looks like a spew to me, but might be wrong and want to hear your thoughts ;)

You get to fold all of my bluffs, which I definitely have in my range, especially given your small pre sizing. e.g. 98s and AK I would bluff there 3 streets always.
If you decide to bluffcatch, than it makes sense to x/c down rather than x/s T. I understand that you might feel that the pot is too big already and if you're not planning on folding OTR, you better shove now for some kind of protection. Although, I think x/c down would be more +EV play. On top of that my range is uncapped, I don't 5b ip unless it's clear exploit. (but yeah you cant know that and its not common on nl100 zoom)

Looking forward to reading your thoughts !

GL! :profit:

Yea, I built it on the better side to have the option of upgrading it to funstation in the future with some badass graphics card :f_rolleyes:
Well, I hope it won't come to that xD

Manu, I think you ate too much schnitzel.. You clearly are crazy.
But yea, hope the visit will work out this year!

@Machy
Hey Bo$$ :f_drink: (havana & coke)
I didnt like myself too much after the hand :fouet:.
My thinking was.. hey, lets click buttons against this czech guy, that I know! A brain fart line, def not my std play to min4b QTs vs good regs without abnormal 3b :transpire: But yea, you played it well, I min4b quiet a bit and most ppls reaction is min5b all value and call EVERY random hand they decided to 3b bluff with because of the odds and then end up making mistakes when they hit a piece

Hopefully got the spew out of the system for 2015 :f_frown:
