Fwiw, I don't think the elevator is a big argument - I've been living on the 7th (in the Serbian / English numeration) floor for most of my life, and my lungs could afford an upstairs climb daily even in the childhood when I had short breath.

You seem to be the resident Dr. Phil here so I would like to thank you for all advice, as well as taking liberties with people and things you know little to noting about. I am truly grateful. I will go now and gamble the rest of the savings. Regards

I was also taken by the tone of your post Tony by surprise but I hope you didn't mean anything bad by what you wrote so I responded , otherwise would have told you something way worse then my bro wrote now.

Update for May grind HERE

300 games left with 2 days left. Saturday got guitar lesson as well as couple of coaching sessions so I will do my best to do 225 tomorrow and 75 on Saturday to finish the whole challenge.

Another news is that moving out from poker office will happen very soon - Monday evening.
Prefer to do it before I leave to Prague so when I get back I won't have to worry about it at all just sit down and go for 2.5 or 3k games.

I'm sorry, guys. You're free to tell me anything you wanted. I have no right to judge other people, especially as I fail to be responsible before myself. May your family prosper!

I prefer not to get into it anymore as I have positive opinion about you Tony, don't want to change it because of one outburst you had here - hopefully it won't happen in the future.

Today was really bad day for poker

Internet was out in the morning and in the afternoon PT4 decided to crush on my with HUD not working.
Result is 138 games only and running really bad .

That leaves me with 162 games tomorrow, so I will go for 2 x 81 games to finish it off and then take deserved rest.

I updated my PT4 before I left office so hopefully tomorrow everything should work smoothly for grinding.

I am happy to say that I will be on vacation from poker for almost 2 weeks.

Tomorrow is my brothers birthday; Monday I have to teach 2 guitar lessons + do the move from poker office back home ; Tuesday I got guy coming to do AC in my room + gotta prepare all the stuff for Prague trip; Wednesday to Tuesday in Prague, no poker just laughing every day there with my friend Stanko.

Enjoy your weekend all and I will write some things about students in some future updates as a lot of things have happened in the meanwhile.

Just relax and enjoy in Prague. You realy deserve it with all those grinding days and finding leaks. I must say that I was this year on PokerStars VIP party in Prague and is realy marveolus city. With great transportation sistem. And a lot of good beer. I remember that I eat their traditional food - golaš, and I must say that was fantastic.

Have a nice trip! _wink:

Hi,

Just watched your video with the Mosh, loved it.

FFS I am rubbish and know nothing.

Back to the drawing board, soooo you start with 2 cards, they are called your hole card, then... :)

Seriously loved it. I don't know what their criteria for employing coaches is and I understand that Holly above is not continuing in his current capacity, so maybe economically your timing is not good, but am sure if not now, it is only a question of time.

Steve

Hi Steve,

Glad you enjoyed the video with Mosh. I think it is excellent video but feel bad that video quality wasn't best (a lot of the times video was frozen etc). Definitely a lot of interesting spots and discussions came up, hopefully SNG players will benefit from it.

Regarding coach status at PS, I am not the one who makes that decision. Submitted my application and now it is all in their hands to decide if I am good enough to do coaching for English community.

All the best my friend

It was realy superb! I was there with my girl. We went with train from Slovenia (190€ for both ways for both of us). We where there 3 nights. First day we drive for more then 10h so we came in Prague late at night. Go to hotel for dinner and went to sleep.
Next day we visit Prague ZOO, you realy have to visit it. Very beautiful ZOO and large. Also ticket is not even expencive. We was there for hole day. That day was also VIP party. And my birthday. So we decide to go to Prague because those two things mach. Very awesome party. I eat sushi for the first time there. Interesting taste. And drink whisky with cola and all for free. :f_biggrin:
Next day we spend all day in centre of Prague. We went to Karl bridge, castle, Petra hill and at the end of the day we went to Paladium. It is very big shoping centre and there I eat awesome gulaš. With it I order black bear (Kozorog). Awesome!
I have a wish to go to AC Prague stadium, but we didn`t have time, so this will have to wait to next time. Also we wasn`t out (in centre) at the night, so this is also something we should do next time. It is realy beautiful city.
And as I mentioned before it have great transport sistem, so you can get wherever you want in almost no time with only one day ticket. Only thing you need to be aware of are taxi drivers. I didn`t have problems, because I order drive from train station to hotel and back when I was booking in. And I also install on my Iphone aplication for AAA taxi, so I was able to look how much I will spend for it and you can even arange a prize before with speaker.
So I can`t wait to go again on some VIP party. And visit some new city, because I love to travel. Or to go back to Prague.

I am following this thread with respect as your original blog and all I have to say -> respect! Can you give any tips from your perspective to 6max sng beginner? I mean key things which person realizes even after 2-3 years of play? Are there any? Thanks for your reply even here, or privately.

Nice tip for the Prague Zoo, I will see if my friend would like to go there sounds like fun :)

I am also into football a lot. Actually I will be staying in the hotel which is connected with Slavia Prague stadium :)

Check out the link of the hotel HERE

I also looked if there was some decent poker event to visit and found something in Card Casino 1 mil crowns gtd with around 320 euro buy in :)

Thank you for following and glad you enjoy the blog.

There is a lot of things that I can give you as advice but I will try to summarize it into most important points.

- In the beginning phase, study much more then you grind would say 60/40 or even 70/30 ratio in favor of studying vs grinding
- Study every day, review things from previous days always and make things fun for studying (create fun games and challenges when learning/memorizing things)
- Study smart vs just to say to somebody you spent 5 hours studying and then you have no idea what you actually studied those 5 hours!!! (organizing and creating plan is very important - key thing is working on the game plan, pre and post flop, learning what to do 4-6 players ICM , bubble play and HU - you can take each of those areas and study individually to get most out of your progress)
- Variance is inevitable in any form of poker, the sooner you accept it the better you can move on and play your best game or close to best
- Work on your mental game, don't get into spamming swearing other opponents, shut down chat and focus on your best game and learn to play your best even when variance gets "brutal"
- Related to previous point, you need to put constant volume to get to your ITM % and ROI therefore realizing your hourly best so set grind/game target each month
- Think about immediate near and far future goals, set them up and figure out a way how to reach them (This will keep you always motivated and this will never stop moving if you are perfectionist!)
- The sooner you make decision what you want with poker, the better you can start applying yourself (if you want to be recreational player then no need to study hard and do anything just play for fun and stress free, if you want to make a living and become poker professional then treat it as such!)
- If you want to make a living from poker make sure to treat it as job (figure out how many hours a month you need to allocate for grinding, studying, coaching and find a way to match them)
- In the beginning have minimum 180 hours a month for studying+grinding, later on you can do less as your hourly increases (or you can do even more - up to you)
- If you want to become a coach, teach students, be a role model , make sure you act like one! This basically means follow up on your coaching promises, on the grind target you set, challenges that you set upon yourself, have a system/program developed to help your students etc (there is nothing worse then telling people to do something when you yourself are example of laziness and no integrity overall)
- Persistence, hard work, dedication and strong belief in yourself and your abilities is the key to making it long run.
- Make friends with other poker players, preferably close to your level so that you can have plenty of useful strategy discussions along the way
- Never be stubborn, close minded and big headed. Don't be afraid to ask any questions, seek advice from people that you think can help and improve your game.
- If you reach the phase where no article/video/hand review on forum/skype discussion can't do much good to you, consider to find coach who you trust has tons of knowledge and strong work habit as well as integrity and take coaching from him/her.
- Make sure you have 2 types of bankrolls: for your life and for poker. Without this and proper BR management people have gone bust way too many times.
- Be honest, true and realistic with your current skill level and expectations (current, near and far future)
- Finally, don't get stressed if somebody tells you shit or praise you and your game. You are the one that knows how many hours you put in, where you are now and where you want to get and you are the one that takes each step to reach it! In the end you will be the one standing on top of the mountain looking over things you achieved all thanks to your hard work and dedication.

Hope that helped you somewhat.
Let me know if you have any questions, I will be happy to help you out.
