Pick the winners and win your share of $50,000

Do you fancy yourself as a football expert? Now is the time to prove it and win money for your expertise during the biggest football event in the world.

We have an exclusive Brazil Prediction Competition with KickTipp, where you can win your share of $50,000. Prizes will be paid out in the form of a cash bonus at William Hill. Any William Hill account can participate, you don't have to be tracked to PokerStrategy.com. If you do not have William Hill in your country, your winnings will be paid into your Tell-a-Friend account.

This is a chance to win money, beat your fellow PokerStrategists and maybe even learn a thing or two about football tipping.

Simply make predictions for Brazil and get points for every correct prediction. The top 100 scoring members at the end of the tournament win prizes.

This promotion is free to enter, but is only open to members who are Bronze or above, between June 12 and July 13.

To find out more on how to enter and what you can win, visit our $50,000 Brazil KickTipp page.

$50,000 Brazil KickTipp Promotion

Share your strategy and beat your friends

As much as this is about winning your share of $50,000, we all know football is much more important than that. This is your chance to support your team, beat your friends and prove what a big football expert you are.

Use this thread to discuss your picks and the reason for them. Use this thread to make fun of other people's picks, or their favourite football team. Finally, let's use this thread to rail all our teams during the tournament and have some fun.

It's only once every four years, so let's make the most of Brazil this summer, even if we won't be there in person.

If you do not have a William Hill account yet, take advantage of our first deposit bonus and click here to create one.

Not that good.
Will not bother to open an account too.

Last similar promo for Euro cup was more fun and more attractive.

The KickTipp page (this: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/kicktipp/ ) is in German for me although the language is set to English. Tried switching to other languages as well but all were in German...

The same here :f_cry: Can that page be translated at least into English by Thursday?

There's indeed a little bit extra challenge with the language.

Don't forget to make your tips before the Brazil game tomorrow.

I'm thinking 4-0 for that match to the hosts.

Sadly I am thinking 0-0 for England vs Italy, if we are lucky.

Hi,
No, unfortunately the deadline for those was the 12th of January.

It shows you if there is a deadline for the next 7 days when you go to Placing Tips.

Best,
Kamen

Could you please explain how the deadlines work? Do I take it right that I can't change the tips for any match of the fixture after the deadline set for the whole 'matchday' (but before the actual kickoff of the match, which is sometimes many days later than the deadline), even though the web page technically allows me to change the tips for those matches of the current fixture that haven't started yet? Or is the deadline for submitting a score tip for a single match always set two hours prior to its kickoff time (or does it coincide with the kickoff but is shown to me in CET, not the local time, which is 2 hours ahead, despite the kickoff itself is shown in the local time?), and I'm just misled by the notification 'Matchday 3: Dead line: Monday, 23.06.2014 18:00' (CET+2) shown by the tip placing page (and it refers only to the first two matches of the fixture)?

Why is the score after penalties 4:3? Winner of penalties usually gets one extra goal to his score, so the score should be 2:1. The score of penalties is not important.

I assume you refer to the Brazil vs. Chile game. We count the score after penalty shoot-out. After extra time the score was 1:1 + 3:2 in shout-out makes the stated 4:3. This is also stated on the kicktipp page:
"* Pen The result "after penalties" will be applied."

You can change the tips for each game until kickoff time. So this deadline just applies to the first game of the round.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

- I'm not in the running for this anymore (forgot to post scores for most of wk 3) (doh!)
- but it seems a bit weird to count the scores after pens to me
- I realize this is stated in the rules and all, but still not 'kosher' imo
- just my '2-penneth' anyway, don't wish to seem ungrateful/nit-picky or anything like that. #constuctive-criticism

I agree that a win on penalties should have counted as only one extra goal; also, I think it would have been worthwhile to give 3 points for a correctly guessed draw 'tendency' in the group stage instead of 2 because the correct goal difference points weren't awarded for draws and it really discouraged predicting draws even when they were deemed the most probable results (perhaps this lack of points was somewhat balanced out by higher probability of getting the correct score points, but I'm not so sure).

I tried to find result of the match on some internet pages. Somewhere I could find something like 1:1 (3:2) and somewhere something like 2:1 (pen). The result of match is 1:1, the result of penalties is 3:2, but the result after penalties is 2:1 (1:1 + extra goal for winner) Result 4:3 I found only on pokerstrategy.
It is unfair to count all goals from penalties mainly because the score of penalties after 4th kick of first team can be for example 4:1 and at this moment is end of the match but one team had four penalty kicks and one team had only three penalty kicks. And I think that 1:0 is definitely better prediction than 3:0 or 4:1 when the result of the match is 0:0 and the result of penalties is 4:1. But for prediction 1:0 you will get two points and for prediction 3:0 or 4:1 three or four points.
