:diamond: Short Bio: :diamond:

Gary, 29 from Rep of Ireland. Gold member of almost 4 years and former Head moderator of the English Community. Playing poker for 7 years and since March I have been concentrating heavily on MTTs. Since then I have won $10k with net winnings of $8.2k

:spade: Why I need this stake :spade:

As much as I'd love to play all these on my own I simply cannot afford to do so. Also, MTTs are very high variance and I like to include Hyper Turbo MTTs for volume. I like to make my ABI between $10-$11

Today has been pretty rough so far. I've had a plethora of hard knocks in the last few hours.

Big 33 exit: http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/9698814_04B66E1664

$5.10 Hyper exit (2nd hand): http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/9698803_BF5BED7093

$11 NL exit: http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/9698748_DF1C0977EF

I also had AK walk into AA in a $27 Turbo for 95% of my stack so I'm hoping things turnaround fairly fast!

The Stake in Review:

So here is a mini review of the stake that happened yesterday for those who were not active in our Skype channel. It would be an understatement to say that we were shit out of luck throughout the day!

10.15 $11 Time [15 minutes]

Our first MTT of the day went OK. We doubled up early when we got a guy to spew with 2nd pair in a limped pot on my BB.

We were involved in one more hand in this tournament that would have guaranteed us a double up of our buy-in, however, luck was not to be on our side and despite turning a FD we did not bink the river:

Boom

Cash: $8.67

11.00 The Big $33

In the biggest MTT of the day, we won a few small pots early on. Playing pots in position with good hands and waiting patiently. We did have a period towards the end where we did not get anything playable. In two of the final three hands we open-shoved. AKo got a chorus of folds.

This was to be our final hand and would turn out to be indicative of the rest of our day:

Boom

11.15 $11 Time [30 minutes]

The second and final Time MTT of the day was profitable but it could have been more if lady luck was on our side.

Boom

Cash: $8.67

11.30 $27 Turbo Progressive Super Knockout

We lasted 65 hands in this MTT. We flopped a set early on multi-way but could only extract the bare minimum in chips.

After this we picked up some small pots and were not involved in anything big until our final hand:

Boom

I was pretty close to folding this as I know the villain well. He is a good player and we've played together lots lately. 55 is well inside our calling range and I went with it: Calling range: 24.3%, 22+ A2s+ A4o+ K9s+ KTo+ QTs+ QJo JTs

12.00 $11 NL Holdem

This tournament followed in a similar pattern to the others. We won a few small pots early and in the middle phase. I did make one big fold against an uber nit with QQ on a Axx flop. I think his stats we're like 7/7 over 40 hands and he did tell me he had the Ace.

Scant consolation though as we exited pretty disgustingly a few hands later:

Boom

12:30 $27 Turbo Knockout

That wasn't to be the only time that I ran AKo into Aces yesterday. Stame thing happened here as well. Which left me in very bad shape (5BB).

AKo vs AK Part ii

I couldn't get it back either and I eventually was knocked out when I shoved JT into KK

Boom

12.30 $5.10 Hyper

Not much to comment on in this one. We went for a squeeze with Pocket 3s but we lost the race and that was that.

Boom

13:30 $5.10 Hyper

Similar to our first Hyper, we only lasted two hands when we had the following cooler:

Boom

13:45 $5.10 Hyper

We got a little more value for money in our third and final $5.10 Hyper. We first won a flip when our AK found an Ace on the flop vs 77.

A few hands later we lost some chips vs a short stack with AT vs 22. We flopped a T but the turn gave him a set and he doubled up off us.

In the very next hand we were at the races again after open shoving AQs from UTG. We got a call from the BU with TT and we managed to bink an Ace again to double up.

We soon had a 10k stack @ 400/800 when Kings held vs 44 and 88 but that was as good as it got for us as a few hands later we paid another visit to cooler town:

Boom

14.00 $27 Turbo Knockout

Probably the most tilting experience of the day. Maybe I should have just shoved after his raise pre. Either way, I wasn't folding after that flop or turn.

Boom

14.42 $3.30 Hot $33 Satellite

Actually, no this was the most tilting experience of the day! We managed to get ourselves into a really decent position. We were 13/24 with 19 places to the tournament.

We were very card dead after this but there was a lot of guys in front of us who were worse off. It came down to 18/21 then 19/20. One guy had 94 chips and survived 4 all-ins with 48o, J5s etc.

We ended up bubbling when our JT was crushed by QT and didn't improve.

14.52 $6.60 Hot $33 Satellite

Got deep in this but ran out of luck before the places. JJ losing to 88 when villain flopped an 8.

15.30 Hot $33

We were seated very well in our first few tables. I had a nice juicy fish in my sights and I won a few pots vs him to give myself a stack early on. I went on a bit of heater in this one. No harm I was kinda due!

I was in the top 10 for most of the tournament.

50 people outside the money this happened:
