Hi keoghh,

Back when I started experimenting with hyper husngs, I had a different problem, I crushed 15s, and struggled at micros.. Maybe it's just psychological issue idk .. glgl! :)

Thanks for the support guys, hopefully i can crush 15s someday too!

Today involved me wasting time in the morning, then spending the afternoon waiting around to get x-rays done (nothing too serious), so only real grind time was tonight which meant i only got in 55 games, heres how i faired:

This leaves me with 25 games to catch up tomorrow, any1 following this blog will know i'm pretty renowned for always failing challenges, determined not to fail this one!

Missed updating yesterday, im still about 35 games behind pace but im confident i can catch up, briefly tried 2-tabling but i struggled with it tbh

Results not anywhere near what i want, getting frustrated at myself and feels like im changing my strategy every 2 minutes trying to find what works, anyways heres results so far:

Hey guys,

Challenge is losing momentum as im quite alot behind pace, finding it very difficult to get 80 games a day whilst 1-tabling, which means im going to give 2-tabling another try. Atm im averaging about 45 games per day which can be improved!

Finally hit abit of an upswing so results are slightly better, so far:

Good news and bad news!

Bad news first

Looking like the volume challenge is going to be yet another failure, partly down to me but also partly down to unforeseen events but overall im disappointed about this, one day i will reach a volume challenge! :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin:

Good News

Despite the lack of volume, im currently running at 4% EV Roi on the 7s, which im very happy about, will post graphs probably at the weekend, however i have a few questions to any hu hyper players that may still be lurking

Question

Been studying a bit lately mainly through watching videos, question is about my NAI 3betting range from the big blind, assuming 20-25bb deep.

Firstly i have added alot of bluffs into my NAI 3betting range as i learned in some videos most of the time we expect villians to 4bet or fold so we polarise our range????

Im struggling when it comes to value hands, as a readless strategy im unsure whether i should be 3betting shoving hands like AT+,TT+ or 3bet NAI with them. Most of the time currently 3betting shoving them, maybe i should adjust vs aggressive opponents by 3bet NAI and 3bet shove vs passive opponents?

Then hands like QT,QJ,K9s,KT,KJ,KQ atm are all in my flatting range from the BB 20-25bb deep but i find myself c/folding them a decent amount of the time vs a cbet, so should i incorporate these into 3b Nai range, but then that goes against the argument for polarising the 3bet NAI range, maybe adjustment 3bet NAI these hands vs passive opponents?

EDIT: Realised i forgot to mention, this is assuming we are facing a min-raise

If anyone took the time to read that wall of text and has any insights or would like to discuss it further in private, any help would be much appreciated, thanks

about your question, keep it simple - dont 3bet bluff, 3bet jam smth like A7o+, A2s+, 22-88, 3bet nai 99+, flat rest, flatting low suited Ax also is an option, but I prefer 3bet jam.
With reads it can change but at micros you dont play much same opponents.

Thanks for your reply, seems like I'm over complicating things for the micros as you say - keep it simple!

Latest graph at 7s:

Currently on a BE stretch, not exactly happy overall with my play, plan is to review my play, and watch videos specifically based on hand reading as this is somewhere where i feel I'm lacking, gl all

Small update :)

Things not going quite so well for me, ev roi is dropping rapidly which is frustrating when im only 1-tabling, going to move down to 3.50s for a while to rebuild some confidence, still comfortably rolled for 7s but ive lost all my confidence it seems.

Plan:

The plan is to grind 3.50s until ive regained some confidence, been seriously considering applying for some sort of coaching-for-profit deal if there are any available as i must have some pretty glaring leaks, anyways will see how it goes _cool:

Confidence has been regained at 3.50s and im now back playing 7s, one thing that ive noticed is the increased aggression levels at 7s compared to 3.50s, especially when comparing graphs worried about my nsd winnings.

3.50s:

7s:

Progress is slow as i have exams atm, cant wait for them to be over and be able to put some volume in, thats all for now

Small update:

Got a couple of weeks free before my next exam, decided to put some volume in at turbos, keep switching between turbos and hypers, on one hand i enjoy turbos because of the higher roi's possible however theyre alot slower and hard to put in volume, also im not sure about the action at higher stakes.

Hypers wise i enjoy the speed and dont mind the variance really, just i dont seem to be as good at them

My month combined:

Also hoping to take a shot at 15s turbos soon :)

you shouldn't judge your play by looking at graphs.

Non showdown and showdown winnings should be ignored, they mean nothing. Also you can easily ignore ev line over small samples, even over bigger samples it can mean nothing, I have had b/e in ev 6k games with 2% ev roi. Analyse your play, not graphs.

first hand, im not folding there with odds you have, sizing seems ok on this board.

2nd hand Im calling down, not happy about it tho

both hands are ok played, just unlucky, first hand you can limp and than with smaller sizings postflop you could fold at some point depending how villain plays his hand.

IM BACK!

Been a while since my last update, been very busy last month and so as a result volume has suffered, anyway graph since last update:

And why not, graph since starting hypers, all stakes:

Spoiler

As you can see trying to recover from a small downswing atm, Im in a position to shoot 15s very soon, but id rather wait until this slight downswing is over and then shoot 15s.
