PokerStars - $2+$0.20|150/300 Ante 40 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP+1: 31,986
MP+2: 26,714
CO: 9,214
BTN: 5,092
SB: 15,138
Hero (BB): 4,660
UTG: 14,746
UTG+1: 4,726
MP: 9,478

9 players post ante of 40, SB posts SB 150, Hero posts BB 300

Pre Flop: (pot: 810) Hero has A♥ Q♠

fold, UTG+1 raises to 900, fold, MP+1 calls 900, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 4,620 and is all-in, UTG+1 raises to 4,686 and is all-in, MP+1 calls 3,786

Flop: (14,502, 3 players) A♦ 8♣ 7♠

Turn: (14,502, 3 players) K♦

River: (14,502, 3 players) 3♣

So, here's my thinking at the time on a busy table:

I'm rather short and want to push since still out of the money, as the caller is a little busy(34/26).

However, initial (16/14) raiser's range has to be tight given this so I was a bit hesitant. Then I counted all those lovely chips sitting in the middle and shoved anyway!

So the obvious question is, was it ok to shove being the nit(12/8)?

Hi,

Here AQ is an obvious shove ;)

But given sizing, the profile, the position and his stack size I wouldn't expect any FE from him there.

Anyway you are close to be even on his range.

I would give him sth like: 55+, ATs+, AJo+, KQs

with all the chips in the middle I'd take an equity of about 45% against this range. I wouldn't take a lower equity bec of the high risk to play a 3way allin w/ the massive CL in MP1.

My range would be 88+, AQ+. 77 could be ok too but AJ- and 66- are too far in terms of equity to be good IMO.

## agree!

I pretty much have the same ranges. If you don't have any infos 88+ aq+ are a clear shove. ajs, 77+ can be added too very often! sometimes even loser shoves can be profitable depending their ranges!

I didn't think either of them would fold, i ignored MP and took the race v UTG and hit.

Thank you very much, you are the bossmen! Seems I have much to learn and so little to pack it into.

Regards,

Mal.
