I preferred a call over a 3-bet preflop because according to his stats, Villain is not afraid to 4-bet once in a while, and his Fold to 3-bet value isn't that high either.

Villain also seems to be capable of some tricky moves postflop, which is why I played the flop defensively.
I put in a standard value bet on the turn and probably would have called a regular-sized check-raise.

Decided to play it safe on the river. I probably would have called a smallish bet and played bet/call if the river card had been anything other than a K or T.

Was my line too nitty overall?

You've got only 136 hands on him, so stats are probably not that accurate, but... Can you post them? I'm more interested on wheter is he always 4bet/folding or maybe flatting 3bets OOP sometimes.

If hes flatting a lot to 3bets (even OOP) it isn't that bad to 3bet IP 4value. Of course you'd bet 3bet/folding, but if you think he's calling a lot you can think to get a lot of value by this.

However calling is definitely ok, and w/o a lot of info I prefer calling and playing IP :)

Postflop your play is ok imho. A TAG is definitely cbetting a lot on this flop, so ofcourse you can easily call the first one. He checks on the turn, you've got 2pair then you're obviously betting 4value. He's c/c range here could be something like a weak ace.

On the river, the only hand which is beating you is probably AT. I don't think he's cbetting Qx, KK, TT on the flop and I think he's definitely not going to c/c a gutshot w/o any SD value, so probably he's on Ax.

On the river, thin vbetting could be a decent idea. If my read is good, he has SD value, then he's probably not going to be induced to bluff over a smallish bet. We can still get some calls by weaker hands. Betting 1/3 or 1/4 of the pot could be a good idea :)

I don't think I have the hand anymore (at least I can't be bothered to search for it), but I think his Fold to 3-bet value was around 75%, and his 4-bet value was around 10%. I know that sample size is small, especially for the 4-bet stat, but it does show some potential tendencies and I would have hated to play 3-bet/fold. I thought the call would have been the best choice, since the hand is still pretty playable that way, I had position after all.

About his postflop stats, I'm not sure, but I think they were all over the place, so I thought that he could take some weird lines from time to time. That's also one of the reasons why I was a little scared on the river. Again, I would have absolutely hated to play bet/fold there, and I don't think the hand is strong enough for bet/broke considering the stack sizes.

Hi,

you played your hand perfectly fine, there is no more value on the river anyway with a 1 card straight on board, unless you had AK for top 2 then maybe you can valuebet against lower 2p

Thanks
