Does he ever play a boat like this?
Does he ever play a flush like this?

1, I'm sure would lead river. Don't see hands 8x get value from by raising river.
2, Yes, but I'm sure would lead the river some % more than they check. gg if he has but only 33/44 are available.
3, I think flushes lead turn some, when they don't lead turn and hit river I think they lead river.

I guess he has 3x/4x a bunch that like you said he turns into a bluff

Imo river valuebet is too thin and I´m not sure it best option to turn showdown value hand into bluff.
I guess shove is fine although I don´t understand why he just does not call his medium pp´s, so most likely you had best hand against AhJx type hand or you really made him to fold Qx (which seems unlikely him to c/r river and then fold to shove after getting very good pot odds)

You show a lot of strenth w/ your 3bet-shove on the river...
If vilain is a reg, I could think that he fold also some medium flush ! Moreover if you have a tight profile... you are quite likely to flat poket pair in the smallblind like 33 and 44, so your play is really powerfull!

So here for me the most important think to take into account would be your profile... and how vilain is playing you.

I agree, this is a very interesting hand and I think I like how you played it.

Let's look at a couple critical points:

We raise UTG and villain flat from SB. This already narrows his range extremely. He likely has nearly 0 8x hands except 88, likely doesn't have 33 unless he's calling just because BB is a fish, and has quite few suited combinations too (maybe JTs and AJs only).

So we cbet flop and he calls. He does this with his full range including his ace highs. Check back turn. River we definitely can have a bet to fold out 66-JJ, as we're near the bottom of our range here. He tanks and I feel this is generally genuine. I think often he is deciding between a call and a raise here with the PP range. AJ/AT likely raises quicker. So do his AJhh/AThh and quads. We can rep a decent amount of stuff and we get a very good price on a shove (risk:reward wise), so I like it.

I think we get a bit owned by AThh, AJhh, KQhh c/s turn personally. I like our check back, though your line has its merits.

Why turning 22 into a bluff on the river? Why shove and be crippled when he calls? I don't see 8x, 3x or 4x in his range and Qx in unfortunate. Then I imagine vilain has more AIR than other here. But in case of, I prefer bluff catch instead of get in.

In this case we could also call AJ+...

What do you think about it?

If we think about his preflop range it is very pair heavy and broadway heavy. I believe Qx calls river so I'm not too worried about that.

If we think about his tank then raise range on the river, it is very pair turned into bluff heavy IMO.

That's why I don't like a bluff catch with 22, especially when we can represent a very strong hand (flush) ourselves.
