Well I find nl5 bit swingy for me, making lots of bad plays .. I post some hands in the evaluation forum, I review some of them myself and write down notes.

I was up many buy-ins at first, then playing real bad kinda costs me everything I managed to win before that. I kinda think my play isn't stable, it is enough to make few spewy calls and plays to dictate whether it is a losing or a winning session. Once I notice my game isn't very good, I try to check with myself what's the reason and whether I can change that or not, if not, quit session, review or do something else.

I am considering taking coaching, probably from weazel as he does tons of experience in the micros.

Last session's hand which I decided to take a break after:

Make it bigger pre, you are deep vs utg + mp called. I would make it around 0,70-0,80. Call or raise flop depends on the opponent, if he is fishy I would just raise it. As played the turn should be a fold as there aren't too many hands you beat and you gave them great odds to call preflop so they can easily have sets/2p/straights. On top of that you don't close the action.

Yesterday had a sweat session with 2 members of our study group, and boy they are angels who bring luck and goodrun to my tables. I played nl5 and finished 3.5bi positive :)

Zoom / Regular
I don't have many hands in regular tables but the difference is very significant, the games are much looser and hands .vs fishes occur much frequently. I am in love with zoom poker and really don't like time spent on table selection although rewarding.
I consider investing more time in regular tables and maybe when I'll be playing NL25,NL50 I'll switch to zoom ?

What do you think guys ?

Meanwhile those hands that you don't fold and that make your big won pots breakeven in the end of the session

So I have played a 125min session of regular tables, it was quite swingy at first, I was concentrated on table selection and wasn't really playing. Then I reduced tables to like 3-4 tables with at least 1 fishy/spewy player in the table. I have played good, won stack from a reg, 2stacks from a weak player and was actually in positive :P allinall is good-session :P

Eventually this hand happened and my call on the river was my signal to stop the session ..
Villain is very loose-passive, he folded some river bets before and had never raised river bets before !

Hurray!

post count number 600,

also got my Gold status, so dbl hurray !

Will probably post a graph of July (1st month since back) tomorrow after tomorrow's grindings end.
In general I play zoom&reg tables, separately though (don't mix zoom&reg in 1 session) - I've seen Bierbaer did mix in some coaching, maybe I'll try that also, who knows.

I think if I keep up with the work I'll be playing NL10 next month.

Aho !

So here's a little update on month July, the first month of me getting back to poker. It's pretty okay, contains a lot of good runs, a lot of bad runs & decisions, but all in all, the progress is positive.

I hate that I have to go through a lot of mental discipline, I'm pretty much on my own (no stake, no coach by my side) and I find it's quite difficult at times to just keep doing what I do without deviating much, in a sense that I should play like 6max 4 reg tables and that's all because my winrate is much higher playing 4 tables rather than even 6, same about if I play zoom - I focus much better if I just play 2 zoom tables rather than 3 or 4.

Bleah, sometimes I come bit tired and say, okay let's do what I used to do few years ago, what's that ? 8zoom nl2 tables ... "Boris.. DON'T" .. and ending up with a disaster;
I played 4.5k hands autopiloting pretty much, stacking off with AKo,AKs without even thinking, and I've lost 20$ in nl2 .. this is very disastrous !

Anyway, here's graph for July playing 6max (nl2 fast/reg, nl5 fast/reg)

iF u dont mind ill answer here

Act opinions of anyone who is involved are biased almost always
so when u say yr opinion i have to admit i dont give it the same importance as someone completely neutral to the conflict assuming that person makes a fair analysis

When u answered my post u "forgot" certaint things
theres no lot of muslim fanatic groups in denmakr canada or australia comparing to those in chad, ehtipia , egipt , iraq , palestine ...well those countries are all poor

U said money went to palestine , thats very very vague
how much? when ? to whom it was delivered ? how did the international comunity give money so that they can make bombs ? is this true ?i could post here 25 questions more

Also u didnt comment this

Well u have to go back in history they wanted to form a state in the USA
after world war 2 but the USA refused...seeems the palestinian sheperds
didnt have much choice however

Etc dont get upset by this as i dont have anything against jewish or israel
i just believe Israel who was a victim with the inquisition + holocaust
is probably treating the palestines a bit the same way
they are inferiors , victims so on

AS For palestine i also think they have a huge responsability
50% like i said to this day they seemto have stop in time doing and sayn the same thin over and over instead of promoting dialog

theres only 1 way of getting a consensus each partie must start wiith a clear mind and not want to impose they soluton to the other

However in this conflict this doesnt happen and while this continues in 500 years there will still be war

Appreciate your post though disagree with most of it.

Saying u don't give much importance to my opinion because i'm not neutral, that's not wise, while u say u want neutral opinions - how do you know how neutral someone's opinion is ?

You have to check the whole media work of their country, and I assure you - most of countries in the world show Israel as the aggressor and the 'killer' while Palestine remains the victim. ~ This is simple not true.

1. Palestine never was a state, so you can't say it was a land of Palestine. there were jews here ever since Bible times, so unless we go ask Historians we can't use this as a relevant argument today.

Thing is, Hamas doesn't want the lands back, they want us dead. I don't make this up, check their videos - check the web, they are a radical movement that wants Israelis dead, but then they will keep their work - killing everybody's who's not Muslim etc..etc..

2. UN found missiles and rockets in a school and returned it to the Hamas authority, it's in the news. treat it as you like.

3. Hamas shoots at Israeli troops from Hospitals, and sometimes their rocket launches fails and they hit their territory and blame Israel.

4. You can see some videos how Hamas creates their self-made rockets, they use medicine, rubber, other resources for this. Iran, Syria also deliver them bombs/rockets to shell Israel, rockets they fired this year, were the same rockets Lebanon fired on Israel in Lebanon war II.

5. Hamas dig tunnels to make terror acts in Israel territory; in this operation troops found out on dozens of tunnels that already reached our territory, soldiers have died because Hamas surprise-attacked them from underground in our territory;

Spoiler

6. You can also watch the movie "The Green Prince" - it's about Mosab Hassan Yousef, Hamas Leader's son who turned on them to work for Israel, he speaks about Hamas.
You can see how Egypt media speaks about Hamas, and they are neighbors,
There are videos of Palestinian people who speak bad about HAMS

That being said;

* I'm against any kind of war, I don't hate Arabs/Palestinian, In fact I'm friends with many Arabs.

This is not justice that thousands of people are dying many of whom are innocent beings.
This is not justice that Israeli citizens have to be under non-stop pressure of Hamas and Jihad bombings. (The bombings always been there even before operation, and Israel remained silent)
This is not justice that fingers point at Israel as it is their's fault when they ignore simple facts, Israel has tried to cooperate on so many levels with the Palestinian Authority, all attempts have failed (look back at History even with Yasser Arafat).

You said;
"theres only 1 way of getting a consensus each partie must start wiith a clear mind and not want to impose they soluton to the other "

This is not possible as long as Hamas is the ruler of Gaza and Palestinian people.
You cannot maintain peace with a Terror Organization.

There is a saying; When America will be signing peace with the Al-Qaeda, We will sign peace with Hamas.

Yes, you can go on the web and you will hear variety of opinions about the conflict, or you can check some videos yourself. In the end, it is your judgement because there will be voices for both sides even from within the conflict, there are Israelis who scream "Israel is a murderer" and Palestinian people who yell "Hamas are cowards who hide behind their citizens"

Difference is ~ the Israeli protesters are just going to be hated by most of Israelis, while the Palestinian protesters will be probably executed.

Also difference is that in their radical culture, they learn to hate and put a mission to kill Israelis since childhood, while I don't hear many Israelis in the garden who say they want to kill Arabs when they grow up.

Best Regards,
Sneaky.

If u read the bold parts

Act opinions of anyone who is involved are biased almost always
so when u say yr opinion i have to admit i dont give it the same importance as someone completely neutral to the conflict assuming that person makes a fair analysis

I think its clear i did not afirm what u wrote , same and much are different things

Instead of writing diff things fragmented events or actions you should start from the beggining also i condemn fanatic groups as they are part of the problem always

----

1. Palestine never was a state, so you can't say it was a land of Palestine. there were jews here ever since Bible times, so unless we go ask Historians we can't use this as a relevant argument today.

There are maps from 1921 that show palestine territories these maps where published by the french we see syria , palestine

the book is Nouvelle Géographie Universelle 2 Tomes

publication date 1922

So this is the beggining and to me a big part of the problem
im sorry for being to direct but saiyng things as the bible says....
is well not right at all to use a kind sentence the bible says u shall not kill
and give the other face i guess u dont give the other face to suicide bombers so u cant say the bible says this when the things suit your purposes
and ignore what the bible says in matters inconvienent

also we would have to consider all that comes in the bible truth wich i have to admit is a bit strange in 2014.

The formation of the state of israel is the source of the problem
can u confirm that area was a british colony and in exchange of money the sell it to the jewish after worldwar 2 (also after the usa refused the state in tehyr own ground)

Dont waste time with fragmented stuff , start at the beggining
how was the state of israel formed , why ? did someone got hurt in the process? what happened to the people in those territories

after this we can start talking

I was referring to the Bible not as a matter of convenience, but rather make a point that I disagree that we should start from the beginning because it is not as relevant today.

As for History you can go to Balfour Declaration and other stuff of that time, see what was going on against the Jews in the middle east, all Arabic nations refused a Jewish state. You can argue whether Jews has the right to establish a state in the first place ?
I suppose that would be a moral question you'd be asking yourself.

Yes, Palestinians lived here for long time, though the number of them was very small and you could make place for both Jewish and Palestinian people to live in this land.
As for Palestinians I think they were never interested in forming a Palestinian state/country they were inferring themselves as the Arabic nation, merged with all Arabic countries ? not sure what stands behind this, sorry.

I do understand what you say about importance of opinion, perhaps you should have explained it in a bit different way ?
Because you undervalue my opinion before it's written, but I do understand you take it with limited liability, though, you should take EVERYTHING that way and question everything yourself, even the BEST documentaries you see, even Poker stuff I guess that way.

So, it should not be only my opinion or Palestinian or American opinion that u take with certain liability...

Your arguments over Bibles are not so valid as well, Israel does claim for self-defense. Besides, I assure you, a major part of IDF actions is observed and looked at, and soldiers who commit war crimes are sentenced and not praised (as they are in Hamas, actually they don't value life so...)

I am not saying Israel was clean all the way, but for sure isn't 50% responsible.

-----------
Poker
-----------

I am still playing at the nl5, still mixing reg and zoom tables. I have had very bad session already in August, they are bad as I made very bad mistakes including tilt which got me rechecking some mindset/mental stuff with myself.

I guess the War discussion has something to do with mental state, because my city is pretty much 35-40km from the border with Gaza which is very close. I can hear all bombings both sides, I hear how we bomb them and vice versa. Sometimes there is a shelling on my city and I have about 40 seconds to take cover, I have carry my dog in my hands because she is very scared and would freeze.
Exams are frozen until the situation will calm down, because my college is 10km away from Gaza and they are under constant attack.

I'm trying to socialize as much as I can, I do keep going to my job, do stuff besides poker/computer which keeps me sane.

I had losing session where I was like -1bi and I tilted and lost another 150bb's stack.

As a result I try to play less tables of nl5, focus better and be more aware of the emotional drift if occurs.

So far this month I have played only 10k hands, and a winrate of 4.68bb/100 which is 19$

I hope I will be able to keep playing correct and work on my game and reach at least NL10 this month.

Ahio !

The USA also refused an Israel state why didnt Israel settled there ?

They tried Azores but got refused also...they went to middle east knowing they will have problems but knowing it was the easiest place they could settle
and having the backup from usa+ uk

In Portugal there was an awfull thing called inquisition wich was wrong
in all ways , if in 1920 the jews said they where entitled to settle here
and that it we would have a moral question because of the damage they
suffered... what about germany ? Germany comited the most awfull atrocitie
to jew people shouldnt they give small part of theyr land ?

You are getting the point , the jew did what other people did to them in history they attacked the weak they knew in other places it was impossible they would have serious war but here in palestine u had sheep farmers or whatever so they went there

ofc in school they prob tell u other things

I suppose that would be a moral question you'd be asking yourself.

No because its clear to me its wrong its basically an occupation
like i said they did what the inquisition did to them they did not use terror
but they used force

Around 700,000 Palestinian Arabs fled or were expelled from the area that became Israel and they became Palestinian refugees.[17] In the three years following the war, about 700,000 Jews immigrated to Israel with one third of them having fled, or having been expelled, from their previous countries of residence in the Middle East

According to what i read proportion was 10 palestines to 1 Jew
if this isnt big proportion...

Please note i have seen several things through this discussion the numbers u give , the arguments most are incorrect historically
and im not even an expert in this matter but there is lots of info to search
so i stand for the statement i made and now after seeing your arguments
i think i also have practival proof its correct.

Anyway no point in debating this i understand ur point of view
and i know u have family friends and have to suffer this never ending conflict

imo i maintain this and im only more conviced israel as at least 50% of the guilt

Hope all is solved some day

There was not a state of Palestine here, there were Palestine people here but I'm pretty sure they were never acknowledged. The plan was also to settle in Uganda but it didn't work out, dunno not much of my interest to check why.
I don't think comparing Israel/Palestine to USA/Germany is a valid comparison.

This was the easiest place to settle ? It was the place that probably made most sense besides being surrounded by Islamic countries that wanted us dead. Separation created because they rejected Jews existence in these lands since day 1, Jews did not just force them because they weren't Jews.

Jews were living here ever since, you are right the ratio was in favor of Palestinians but what does it even mean ?

If you truly understand my point of view, you would not argue the history, but rather question the current reality.

I do hope everything will be solved one day, soon, please :)

Okay so past few days were pretty rough for me as I could not manage to win consistently on NL5. I would have 2 minor winning sessions and then a big losing session.

I went down for NL2 to chill a bit and won like 18$ without stress.

I still mix zoom/normal tables on NL5, can't get myself playing normal tables alone because I kinda hate the table selection - tryin' to hunt a fish in a table with multi-tablers only to see the fish has lost a stack and left the table.

I guess I will have to play it out and try my best to get through this mental blockage, because it is mainly mental imo.

That's it for now ;)

Sneakyhand.

Holla guys, cleared the 10$ stellar, checked how far I am from the 50$ stellars...pretty far ^_^ .. nothing major happened in poker, winning small in sessions, slowly slowly slowly...

The Isra-Palestine conflict has cooled down a little bit, we had some long-period of cease-fire but Hamas refused to prolong it for 72hours more, we have no idea what's going on really and I have an exam in Psychology in 17th this month, which is Sunday ;( ;( ;( ;(
Because of the war the college said we will be allowed to have 2 exams and choose the higher grade between them which is nice, because I don't feel like I"m ready to begin studying for the Psychology exam.. meh..

Meanwhile;

Handing Hands to your hands folks :)

H1;
So standard spot, nothing unusual imo. Multiway, hit set, flushdraws etc..
I raise the pot to extract value and protect from flushdraws I guess, plan was to raise and fold to a 3bet as I don't think flushdraw will often do that multi-way etc..
