PokerStars - $0.50 Ante $0.10 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (UTG): 272.26 BB
CO: 260.44 BB (VPIP: 27.55, PFR: 20.15, 3Bet Preflop: 9.66, Hands: 398)
BTN: 539.36 BB (VPIP: 73.68, PFR: 21.05, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)
SB: 237.08 BB (VPIP: 74.61, PFR: 36.27, 3Bet Preflop: 8.24, Hands: 197)
BB: 401.58 BB (VPIP: 22.62, PFR: 14.65, 3Bet Preflop: 6.57, Hands: 712)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB, 5 players post ante of 0.2 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.5 BB) Hero has 7♥ T♠ 8♦ J♦

Hero raises to 4 BB, CO calls 4 BB, BTN calls 4 BB, SB calls 3.5 BB, BB raises to 25 BB, Hero calls 21 BB, CO calls 21 BB, fold, SB calls 21 BB

Please don't say you'd fold this!

Flop: (105 BB, 4 players) 7♠ 7♣ 9♣
SB checks, BB bets 26 BB, Hero raises to 82 BB, CO calls 82 BB, fold, fold

Sooooo I went for a raise. I'm not sure if it's better than call. It helps to protect from flushdraws and might even generate value from worse rundowns containing a 7 (4567 etc.). But I also isolate against trips+.

Turn: (295 BB, 2 players) 8♠
Hero ?
Villain has 152 BB behind.

I would fold pre, but I'm quite tight from UTG

would call the flop with 2ppl behind

as played ott not too sure, i think his flop calling range is only 99xx and 7xxx, so i guess with these pot odds you dont have any other choice than shove

i would fold pre

okay depends on the table. if i had some 3b retards behind me i would fold. on a standard table i think its okay to open. but for me its not standard. i would always look at the people behind me

As played i like it. Turn what choice u got with this spr?

Hi,

i would fold after you get squeezed here. You again have the worst relative position, and will flop a pair + fd type hands way too often and are going to have a tough decision to make.

As played i would call flop. You are sure to see 2 cards vs a flushdraw anyway, so there's a good chance you fill up. Also raising just seems like an overplay here. Like you said you iso yourself vs 7xxx, and decent players will often fold the weakest 7xxx here to the raise as well.

Regards,

Skod
