the point wasn't that everything can be explained by science right now. What I means was if you can study things that seem supernatural long enough, you'll eventually be able to get a scientific explanation (ie thunder is not an angry diety but electricity (insert scientific facts and quotes here) ).

Science is great and powerful - but it cannot hack a game of incomplete information. Whenever you think you have solved a puzzle scientifically you will get 10 new problems in eye sight... ♦
The example with thunder is very well pointing to the dilemma:
Man researched the weather until he understood its workings to a level where man can manipulate it. The contemporary gods in sovyet union and USA built instruments like HAARP.
Who the hell was it who manipulated the weather in Moskva every year Nov 7, if not an angry god called Breshnev? 
Now knowing that it is technologically possible to manipulate the weather, and that some powers do so. Especially now, are we really qualified to simply dismiss our ancestors stories, when they say beings with higher powers came and, for example, manipulated the weather?
Considering that such reports come from multiple "high" cultures in non interlinked geographic location and time one must conclude that these claims cannot be dismissed so easily and deserve at least further research. No?
I just thought: "FFRRAANNKKIIEE is for sure a believer and he will post in this thread..." that is supernatural

I don't believe in anything supernatural (meaning ghosts, karma (?), magic, parapsychology, etc), religious/mythological, UFOs (having been on the Earth, that is).

There are a lot of things that have happened to me that I cannot explain using purely physical explanations.
There have been a number of very strange coincidences that seem to convenient to be "chance".
Things like the placebo effect cannot be adequately explained using known science.
People that are interested in this topic may find "The Holographic Universe" by Michael Talbot a good read.
Science concerns itself with the objective universe -- that which can be observed, measured and quantified.
Purely subjective experience lies outside that realm. Call it what you will. I draw no conclusions worth stating here, but there a lot that cannot fit into sciences's mold.
