Also, if I change a decision made then, there is a very high probability I wouldn't have met mrsgadget who is my reason for living and my pride and source of joy every hour of every day.

So no, I don't want to be 20 again and change something, because I like me now, I didn't like me then and neither did anyone else, including my family.

Mal.

Would I change anything?

All of my stupid choices had consequences, some of which stil linger.
However, all of my choices -- good and bad -- got me where I am right now, and I'm happy.

So no.

Do I have regrets? Possibly one.

Some background first. Between the ages of 17-24 I was very self-destructive, as my core group of friends were as well. We were heavy drug users, heavy drinkers and silly risktakers. I won't mention them all but driving a dune buggy of a 30ft cliff into the ocean while drunk just because someone dared me to could have qualified me for the Darwin Awards.

During that 7 year period I attended 9 funerals (1 was my grandfather, 8 were friends in my age group). most of my friends were dead. I was lost and alone (probably even suicidal).

Then a miracle happened. I met a nice girl. She helped turn me around. I stopped using drugs, I tempered my drinking and I started taking my job seriously.

After about 12 months we eventually drifted apart and I never saw her again.

So possibly my only regret is, why did I let her go? ?(

O.K. I will wade into this ...............
I had my 60th birthday last Friday so I guess that makes me the 2nd or 3td oldest here.
There is a lot of kick in this old fart to come yet.
Regrets, I've had a few.
My first wife.....Loved her until the day I found out she had a brief affair before we were married. I punished her by walking out and have regretted it every day since then and that was 35 years and a second marriage ago.
Got all my chips in the middle on day 2 of the WPT Niagara Falls Canadian Poker Championship $10,000 buy-in in 2007. I had pocket Q-Q he had A-A Oops. First prize was $1.2 mil. Have had a job ever since. :(
We live and learn until we die and the only thing in this world that is 100% right is hindsight.
Carry on. :)

I am 44 and will b 45 in october. Yes I was born in the summer of '69! and not unlike others here I have been told that I am still 16yr. Which is all right because that is probably why I believe my 19yr mistress is so mature.

At the Casino where I play most of my live poker there are two old guys who play 3 or 4 times a week. The one is 90 and the other 89!

I'm 59, and my favorite thing in life is having children and grandchildren. My second favorite thing is being outdoors, followed by poker as a close third.
Bring it on kids!

I'm 42, in my mind I am 18, physically I don't look a day older than 49, few regrets, one of which is quitting my job last year, been unemployed since.
Poker has given me some sort of renewed energy, glad I stumbled on to this site :f_thumbsup:

I don't look a day over 90 _biggrin:

I stopped ageing mentally when I got married at age 27 -- I've felt the same since.
Mrs Vorpal claims I stopped ageing mentally at age 15 -- or less.

Like you I have few regrets, and they don't matter much.
All my choices -- even my stupid mistakes -- got me to where I am now, and I'm happy here, so how can I regret them?

Peace,
VS
