I am experiencing a problem in logging on to my ipoker accounts. The site loads up but I am unable to log in, because in the log in page it says:

"The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. "

Is this the problem you all have been experiencing? If not, could anyone tell me what to do to remedy the problem.

If it helps, I am on windows XP and use firefox for my internet engine.

Ok so why do we only hear this now? It is not like the problems started yesterday. Secondly what does DDos on a "big scale" mean? It is not like DDos on a small scale works.

I will try and give a simple explanation and reasons why this information CAN NOT be released while it is happening.

A DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack harnesses the power of multiple computers to continually bombard an IP address until it returns an exception and shuts down. At this stage the perpetrators continue the bombardment to prevent the site from being able to take steps to eliminate the threat.

The reason this information is not released during the attack is simply because their network is now vulnerable to other attacks. There is nothing to gain and everything to lose by potentially letting every hacker (or wannabe) a free shot at compromising your network.

The generators of the DDoS are those to blame for our problems. Their intention is to cause as much disruption as possible to the companies and also US the players. By standing together against them we minimize their success and joy. By fighting amongst ourselves we create more friction for the poker rooms and consequentially allow their intimidation more success. Clearly the DDoS has been resolved but the perpetrators will still take joy reading comments showing them that they succeeded in creating ongoing dissatisfaction between the companies and their clients, after-all that was their intention.

To the perpetrators I would like to say.
Your attack worked you caused us disruption and confusion but you have been beaten now. The problems have been resolved and everything is working fine again. We win your intimidation was only a short lived thorn in our sides and no great masterpiece at all, in a short time you will be a forgotten memory of the minor nuisance you aspire to become.

The symptoms you described are similar to those we experienced due to DDoS, but may be caused by other issues. It is possibly too that technicians had to cause a temporary disruption in some areas due to ongoing work after the original problem. Try logging in today and see how things go. Are you experiencing the problem in one specific iPoker account or more than one?

Thanks for replying. Titan and Betfred is working okay. Betfair, Everest (3 weeks now) and NetBet I can't log in.

So many ipoker accounts. Lol. All free money no deposits and never gone busto!

With some iPoker clients working it would seem your computer and internet are fine so I wouldn't advise changing any settings. I don't know about Everest but both Betfair and Netbet are working fine for me now. If they do not work soon I think you should contact support directly, 3 weeks is a very long time and as far as I know the DDoS problem only started 10 days ago. The only other thing I can think is if you have made any changes or updates to your system or anti-virus software it might be worth checking your firewall, temporarily disabling it would eliminate that.

This is getting way out of hand i talked to live support 3 days ago and they said all issues will be fixed and any refunds processed the paid out (paraphrase not exact words) so i thought ok well give em a break ya know they did just bring poker770 into their servers....Not evn 2 days later at 11:47 Pm EST (daylight savings included) I'm paying a 1 euro 6-max sit n go i get delt Q J suited miss the flop pretty sure he did to hit my Q on the turn bet it a standard 1/2 pot (slightly more)..BOOM!!! F-ING meltdown NetBet stopped responding...WTF...now the program wont even load i can't even get on the website to message them (had to use my email) cause eveytime i log in after about 20 seconds the entire page goes transparent black and i cant cick anything and my balance just keeps refreshing....now netbet owes me 2.20+1+1+daily final token all currency is euros obv so thats 4.20euro + my token

I can tell you this I've been a member about a month and I have only actually been able to play for 3 FULL days (and even that im being kinda generous)
They had better have a pretty sweet bonus for all the F-UPS cause when u tell customers not to expect anymore problems and to feel safe playing then not even 48HRS later major S**T STORM u had better be prepared to either loose a lot of PAYING customers or keep them by opening up the wallet...

If they were to close this thread, you would get multiple threads popping up around the forum about it. Best for it all to be kept contained in here

And by the way, I complained to netbet about the issues and they gave me a free 5 euro tourney token.

Decent response from them IMO.

Here's the latest. I can log in. I click on a HUSNG to register. The money leaves my account. I am not registered as a participant - i.e. the tournament participant count remains at zero.

Will Netbet ever turn into a poker site?

I repeat a question I have asked before: if Netbet was a brand of car or washing machine, would it survive in the market?
