Hey guys,

I'm really really sorry about this. Normally Geoff and I work out who will be doing the coaching a few days in advance, but I have been traveling and things have been hectic and it totally slipped my mind this week. I just reviewed a skype log with Geoff and it turns out I was supposed to do the coaching today, but again it totally slipped my mind and again I apologize.

StaticMoth, I'm not sure what you mean by "again" as I believe this is the first time I have ever outright forgotten about the coaching, but one of us will be back next week.

gl everyone,
Dustin

I didn't mean you personally ... Just overall there have been so many "woopsie - no coaching today I guess, lets hope that doesn't happen again" incidents in the recent past, where the participants have had to wait for ~30m until somebody from PS jumps in and says "no idea wtf is up, better luck next time" :f_p:

sorry that happened staticmoth/all. With both dustin and my sporadic real life schedules, coupled with the way we trade off weeks here, sometimes were both left a little confused. We'll both be working on this going forward, as will the other pokerstrategy coaches.

Witj that said, happy to inform you that I'll be back later today for our regularly scheduled coaching. Hand history review will be the format, please post hand histories to weaktight with stats/reads and let me know the site as well (helps for reads). We'll be starting at approximately 2PM EST, or 3 hours from this post. See you all then :)

We cant 3 bet on the flop. So calling only one choose. Turn is interesting, I assume he still gonna bet 2 pair, and obv flushes.

But I thought about even folding turn, because most likely if he has set, we gonna lose always, If he has flush he is not gonna bet paired river. and I have no idea what hands will be good on the river for us(besides 5).

Flop fine,

turn we are not super happy but betting would be better Imo

As played we should bluffcatch but vs fishes it is too tough

Hey guys,

just a quick update. My/Oblioos slot was removed for today after last weeks mishap, and to work on a more concrete plan for the future. Apologies for that, but we'll let you know what the plan is going forward. Can check this thread, or the coaching schedule to see when were back.

Just to offer some help on mysteryman's hand, since he did post it:

This reg is 28/22, 3bing 13% and CCing 10% in the CO... so I would make the assumption that he's 3bing a polarized range and flatting in the middle. 10% can vary by reg, but its going to look something like 22-JJ/QQ, big broadways, and some SCs.

On the flop, I really like that we flatted villains raise. Its a spot where I think getting it in is OK, but not best. The standard part of a raising range here will be sets and high equity draws willing to get it in, with a few bluffs as well. Were around a coinflip vs that range to get it in, plus some extra dead money when he folds his draws. But, the other option is to flat, and keep his draws in, take odds on a call, and play the turn and river. I think this is more +EV.

Unfortunately, the turn is a very bad card for us. All his NFDs get there, we still lose to sets, and some random bluffs such as 88 improve. I think if you look at his range now, we just lose too much to be able to continue. Add in the fact that hes following through on most rivers (were essentially playing for stacks on the turn), and the fact that even if we boat up we might not be good, then its going to be a fold on the turn.

hey folks,

This coaching will be on hiatus for the next week weeks, as I will be in Vegas for WSOP and Geoff has decided to stop doing the coaching. I'll be back sometime in July and we'll get back to it.

33/26 reg 3 bet 9%
fold BB to Sb steal 22(9)

his raise cbet OTF really low 4% ip and 8% oop OTT 20(5). Also pretty big fold to cbet flop 52% turn 40%. Good thing we dont have Ac, but still I believe I can call only few rivers

....seems too tight

UTG nitty, BB also :f_biggrin:
BB stats 18/13 sq 11% fold to cbet 45% river aggr 26%

Turn can we bet for value? I guess we can since his fold to turn cbet 10%( vs turn bet 32%). It would be much easier to play if I bet turn and check river.
My plan was check turn, fold river, because I didnt expect he will bet 77,88, 98 and stuff. And he shouldnt have bunch T7,T8.

UTG - fish.
BB - reg.

Check back the turn? I thought that the reg is giving up once he checks the turn, so i bet for value against the fish.
I called the river just for curiosity. :f_biggrin:

Villain unknown.
Should I have betted turn instead of checking? I didnt because I thought the board looked very scary for villain and wanted to try to make him bluff river.
