i usually 4 table zooms and take breaks every 2 hrs. I started to add a full ring zoom table, and it's not really a big difference, but I'm probably going to stick to 4 tables.

Yeah I'm using a hud. It is definitely useful especially if I want to know if I can 3bet vs their btn raises or not.
OR if I can call wide because they are a casual player and I can take away most flops IP when they check back.
I'm still trying to figure out which stats are good to add and which aren't. Some take many hands for it to be reliable and some don't.
Poker wise I've played 2k/5k hands today so I'm going to take a break and come back for another 2hr session!
Is that graph from zoom?
I thought non showdown winnings would be far higher due to being able to generate more folds? Maybe something to check out to boost your win rate!

it's funny that you brought this up because I was just watching a video on non-showdown winnings a few days ago. Working on it!
great blog, will be following as I'm another just grinding away in the micros. I'm on PartyPoker at the moment playing on FastForward. My graph doesn't look anything like yours, its up and down quite a bit. Party Poker is quite frustrating with the lack of tables or users. Guess it's not the same as it was in the day.
Recently just watched some of Double2 video's and his strategy playing zoom/ff etc blind stealing and stealing from CO, it's worked out actually. Just started implementing that into my game. My SB steals #'s have gone through the roof. CO has been a bit trickier.
anyhow, won't bore or bomb your post. It's definitely interesting and fun reading hopefully I'm going to learn a few things from your blog.

stealing is pretty essential in zoom IMO. If BTN is a nit then I'm expanding my CO range tremendously because if BTN is a nit then we have become the BTN really.
And yeah, zoom is really fun. A lot of weaker players than me at 2nl so it's a learning process for me right now to prepare me for 5nl, then 10nl and then hopefully 25nl in the near future.
But I know I have a lot of work to do to get where I want to be. You live in london ontario? That's actually quite far from Toronto lol.

Been watching videos on winning without showdown and playing from the blinds. I feel those videos have helped me play better and I'm also reading CTM by blackrain again and it's a great book!
hmmm.. what else... Oh yeah, I made some really horrible mistakes today that costed me some bb's. It was the type of mistakes I made when I transitioned to cash games. I'm aware of that now and from here on out, I'm going to refrain from doing those things.
Also Ramble, a poker buddy of mine is going to be hitting up the 15s soon and I'm extremely proud of him. I remember reading his blog a little over a year ago when he was playing 1.50 games and it's amazing to see how far he has come and, how far he will go too. I still remember when he majorly sucked out on me. He opened push with 99s i think and I had AA and he made quads on the turn and beat me :deadhappy::deadhappy:. Nonetheless, it's great to see a fellow Canadian be successful and I wish him all the best in his endeavors.

Again I"m struggling at 4NL, which really is a combination of both 2/5NL because on Party it makes the jump right to 10NL.
I've actually been playing bad apparently, well at least according to my BR. I've cleared a mission task and received a $25bonus which brought my BR from $49 to $74 and In just two days sitting at 6max tables 2NL and 4NL I've hit a major downswing. 
When you read about downswings, there's no such thing so... I must be playing really bad. Which hurts even more.
I've taken a so-called "time out" and started playing some SnG's for a change of scenery. Collin Moshman has got some great videos to help out while I'm in my little time-out from cash.
Just started to get back into poker as I'm laid off at the moment and i've forgotten on much it sucks feeling this way which I'm hoping it'll pass.
I'll keep watching this blog as it's giving me hope that there is daylight at the end as I see on your graphs your doing pretty good.

Played like a totally idiot!
got it in with KK vs AA a few times today. Ran into AA BvB, got sucked out on in some spots.
Overall, I played really bad today. I'm not going to blame it just on variance.
Finished reading CTM for the second time today and now I'm reading galvin bay's beginner's book.
I'm going to implement his ranges and follow that.
I really want to play some poker right now, but I'm at school in math class..... so bored right now.
going to put in 4k hands today and see if I can put in more.

What's this book CTM? Funny you should mention books I just dug out some as well. the usual books super system I & II as well harringtons books. It's been years since fading these books even found some old book markings and highlights. Lol will have to revisit a few chapters.

I've personally never read super systm all the way. I read maybe 20 pages at most.
I definitely recommend the mental game of poker and the poker mindset. Both are great poker psychology books and helps you see the bigger picture.

I'm persevering with NL5 and it's kinda going okay! I don't have much time to study these days but learning a lot just playing.

yeah same here. I usually study 1 - 2 hours a week at the most. When I'm studying, it's just watching videos and taking mental notes which I find pretty good so far in helping me with my game.
How's NL5? I heard players say there's nto much difference between nl2 and nl5. Just a little less fish and players are more aware than palyers at nl2. Do you concur with this claim?
I think it's defo tougher. Struggled with a DS when I started but clawing it back.
Less fish for sure but can seek out enough. A lot less players seeing flops which obv means less fish!
5bb/100 for this month which wouldn't be so bad if I could up my volume. Was 15/100 at NL2 which was pretty high and probably not sustainable.

Ahh I see. I think anything 10bb-12bb is sustainable at 2nl over the long run? my WR at zoom right now is 8bb/100 but my EV is 9.00+bb/100.
I've seen some of weazel's videos myself and they are really good. I'm sure he'll help you progress further.
So anyways, I have to make an important decision by Friday. Do I use my winter break to grind 5nl zoom sh or do I work during the break?
As much as I would love to play poker during the break, I need to think about the expenses of living.
Then again.. I know I'd be miserable if I went back to my old job because I despise doing it and would only be doing it for the money. Not to mention the hours are going to be long during these times. At least 60+ hrs.
I don't know... I'm conflicted between the two right now. I'll most likely ask some peers for their POV on the matter and weigh in the pros/cons of both sides before the upcoming day.
Sounds like the question is "do I do the responsible thing or the fun thing?"
It sounds silly, but be honest with yourself and write out a pros/cons table for each option. Once it is written down in front of you, it removes some of the emotion and usually makes for a better long-term decision. Good luck.
