UTG is fish.

BB 23/19 AF:4,4 3bet:18 3bet BB:17 cbet F:80 cbet T:50 WTSD:26 W$SD:50 167h.

Pre: I think that 4betting will put me in tough spot being deep oop and vs wide 3bet range I think I can call w ATo.

Flop: Have enough equity to x/c vs his range.

River: Given his line and sizings IMO he has a flush( should have many combos of it like some suited one gappers, some Jxsx/Qsxs/Ksxs and etc.) or air ( missed GS/T9s) most of the time.

So I think vs such sizing I can't bluff catch here profitably, but given that I have As I could bluff and x/shove. With such line I'm almost never bluffing and I can rep 88/77/ nut flush. I think BB should be capable folding a lot of his flush combos in this spot being deep.

What do you think?

Hey LuckyManFromLT,

Preflop call is marginal especially while deep. It's likely better to 4b or fold here.

Flop is likely fine with the backdoor spades.

I would imagine river is a mandatory bluff to fold out stuff like AQ/AK/AJ etc. It's shame to give these cards the opportunity to check back. River check would be reasonable given we check, but I imagine it's possibly better to just lead.

Do you see a point in x/shoving OTR? Or in this limit it would be just a spew?

The problem with checking is that we give him a chance to check back and realise the equity of hands that should be easy folds for him vs a river lead.

Assuming we have already checked though then a x/r could be reasonable. It partly depends on how frequently he will double barrel spades. If he mainly barrels he'll have very few spades in his range so very difficult for him to call a x/r. We are slightly more likely to have stuff like 77/88 also imo.

Agree with weasel.

Should we have raising range OTF?

Basically a raising range on this texture would be optional imo. It partly depends on our range for calling a 3b OOP since it doesn't necessarily connect with the board that hard.

So yeah, we can have a raising range, but we don't have to. It's probably favourable to have one though, we have more options at our disposal etc.
