A8 all-in op

In my opinion the button limp is very often a trap to just snap call

also I wonder why you would shove A8 with ~20BB left against a stack that covers you? how man players have been left in the MTT? already in the money or close to the bubble?

We have left about 100. Forget to mention the BB was sitting out.
I thought that I was good enough for his range with A8 I didn't want to raise and play oop with 20BB so I was about just call or shove. The odds from the pot are about 1/5 so I decided to shove.

No need for a jam here. I'm sure its +ev but I think I'll just raise with your stack You still can play easily postflop with your stacksize. Why get it in when no worse hands are calling your shove?

on thgese limits you will def get called randomly by broadways and sooted connectors. but still ends up in a gamble.
so just raising seems a good idea ... see tiltberger
