Your shove is not very bad, just a little because all his holdings on this river is either an easy call (straights and flushes, Qx and boats) or easy fold (JT, KJ, some Ax and random hands)
Yes you could have bluffed smaller, and yes you could have check-called, betting tiny for value is also an option but then you don't really know where you're at if your opponent goes crazy and shoves because you obv don't have a very strong hand and might level yourself into thinking that you induced his action by this bet.

Ok, I agree there are more broadway combos than pairs, and in addition it is dubious whether he would or should fold pairs when I do not represent a lot. I mean obv in this spot I have a very polarized range but it is unlikely I would check flop with either a made hand or a flush draw, especially since his stack is so shallow, and I do not need a c-r to get him stacked by the river. So if I were in his shoes, I would be inclined to hero-call.

Also, if he did have a hand like JJ-TT, first of all he might decide to get it in for 50 bbs pre, and if he does not, and I check the flop, he would probably bet the flop with only 1 overcard. So it is not very likely that he has that in the first place.

Does he ever have 88, 66-22? He certainly should not be calling a 3bet on a shallow stack with that. But then, neither should he with KJ, KT, AT, JT, AJ right? He could have AK, despite he might also want to 4bet/broke that pre. I am not so experienced with shallow stacks, so I am really confused what his range is by the river if he is a decent player. He probably has AJ or JT or maybe the likes of A9s or A8s. But none of these hands should be in his range even on the flop if he is playing 50bbs, or am I wrong?

Well this guy probably doesn't care about ranges and stuff. Don't assume everyone in nl2 is a thinking player. You don't have to do anything fancy to beat nl2 zoom.
