hey, thanks sir :f_biggrin:

i'm not sure if it's a trend or just a short sample thingy, but it seems that whenever i put z50 regs in a tough spot in huge pots (both in cases where i had value and bluffs) they use their entire timebank and... call.
the solution is easy: stop bluffing in big pots (ok i didn't like it anyway) and bet heavily with the value hands, including thin value when their range looks capped, because it often is and they actually know it

on another topic, so far every single damn time i shipped an Ax hand preflop in z50 i ran into fucking aces. how the fuck
and yeah, i've tilted so i've decided to cut on volume for these days so that the shot isn't prematurely over (today's session - 20 hands lose one preflop AI and two medium 3bet pots, wtf?). but i promise this will not end like the previous times ;(

ok so here's this week, let's keep it short:

Spoiler

[ ] volume
[ ] good play
[ ] not spewing (as you can see by the hands posted)

some things were out of my control and i didn't run well (but also not particularly badly), for the most part i should just admit that i fucking sucked. thankfully there still are well over 300 days in this year!
i guess i was overthinking (aka "spewing") a number of spots, and it must be said that while there seem to be many ABC regs and supernovas with a bunch of leaks, they don't suck ass at hand reading like the z25 guys and there aren't nearly as many lolnit 16/14 players, so i can't get away with as much as i could.
that's ok and it was to be expected obv, but i should remind myself

How does nl50 zoom play compare to nl25?

Gl, will do something similar this year

less retarded nits with vpip<20 and people suck less at hand reading. that said, i feel that they don't really try to put you in tough spots, many players are just trying to survive and grind those fpp for a post-rakeback profit... not sure how accurate that is, but i absolutely despise the thought of being part of that statistic

we'll just spew to each other when I get to nl50 too:yaoming:

Your gif HH's are brilliant.

pretty good winrates (nl5) (nl10)

Nice win rates - I have just moved from one limit to the other myself and I am interested to hear what play style adjustments , or what player tenancies, you thought were necessary to result in your red line being b/e at NL5 and negative at NL10. I am aware that it is possible that your overall win-rate may have benefited from a negative red line but it seems suggestive of a change in approach to the limits and I am just curious.

GL with Supernova, will be following.

hi, thanks sir :f_biggrin:

i guess i can answer your question as i insert the weekly update that i forgot to, as the answer is actually somewhat related.
i got outside visitors :f_biggrin: and i wasn't doing particularly well, so i ended up using these things as an excuse to not playing. must stop with this stupid retarded garbage bullshit :f_zZz:

here's the z50 graph after the last update:

Spoiler

standard swongs, runbad? maybe, didn't run good for sure.
but i felt like i was completely unable to find my A-game and a number of regs were actually adjusting well against my loose-spewy 33 VPIP style, which was something pretty unheard of at z25.
that said, while i might have underestimated some of these guys, i don't think that the limit is beyond my skill level. i just need to find my A-game (which i seemed to have lost sight of completely after a few losing sessions) and some confidence :f_biggrin:

this is an example of hand that i'll be posting from villain's pov and, the higher you go, the more people will consider calling down.
i actually like his calldown a lot. while i definitely will valuebet any Ax and most Kx, my frequencies are actually pretty out of line in this spot and this is something i will have to be adjusting to keep moving up (i won't go into detail ofc):

PokerStars - $0.50 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 52 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
Villain: 124.98 BB
UTG: 100 BB
MP: 33.66 BB
CO: 141.54 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, Villain posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Villain has 7♥ J♣

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.5 BB, Villain calls 1.5 BB

Flop: (5 BB, 2 players) 7♣ 2♠ 2♥
Hero bets 2.26 BB, Villain calls 2.26 BB

Turn: (9.52 BB, 2 players) K♦
Hero bets 6.26 BB, Villain calls 6.26 BB

River: (22.04 BB, 2 players) A♣
Hero bets 13.32 BB, Villain calls 13.32 BB

Spoiler

Hero shows 3♠ Q♠ (One Pair, Twos)
(Pre 61%, Flop 16%, Turn 7%)
Villain shows 7♥ J♣ (Two Pair, Sevens and Twos)
(Pre 39%, Flop 84%, Turn 93%)
Villain wins 46.48 BB

he actually seemed to have fairly high fold to cbet (>50%) in later streets over an ~1k hand sample, so i wasn't expecting to see this hand when he called river without much hesitation.
so well, the point is - these guys might not be amazing, but they definitely can read things better and have more balls than the z25 guys.

i am fairly sure that i know the adjustments i should be making, but i'm taking a break on this shot for a bit to get some confidence back. so it's going to be z25 for some days :f_biggrin: as i said, i think i was pretty far from my A-game for the most of these last days.

so now with that, let's answer the question:

as you might have noticed, i have a loose-aggressive highly exploitative style, which fits perfectly for microstakes. :f_biggrin:
so, in short, i think that the lower you are playing, the more exploitative your approach should be.

to give a better idea of what that means, let's break down my nl5. in z5 i played 42/38 :f_biggrin:
what that means is pretty much: raise any playable cards, open 100% of buttons and smallblinds, cbet pretty much every flop for half pot and multibarrel pretty much any scare card that turns up. as you may have guessed, these people still don't know yet how to read well, so i can mostly get away with repping anything there is available to rep.

in z10 i cut a lot of opening garbage from early positions, though still opening pretty much 100% from buttons and smallblinds. it's about the same thing but less extreme...
only in z25 i started to find more regulars which make me not want to open 100% from late pos and consider some looser calldowns sometimes, and only in z50 i found more regulars who can adapt to me, so besides playing the opponent i also have to consider my own perceived image.

at least that's my view on things, anyway.
in short, for my style, i guess the main thing is that i have to cut down a bit on exploitation and vpip for every limit i move up.

since you mentioned red line, i guess that contrary to popular belief, my main strength compared to other regulars is good valuebetting/sizing and i don't run many big bluffs for stacks, just a lot of fighting for small pots.
apparently that's enough to keep the redline up in nl5, since they are super tight and somehow still find a way to fold too much postflop.

The J7 hand confuses me a lot, surely you have SD value and don't need to turn it into a bluff? Plus I'd expect most regs to flat Kh and Ah on this board and call down once hitting a pair.

fucking stars is fucking laggy what the fuck

on another note, it seems that every time i move down after a shot i play a superawesome fearless A-game in the lower limit. i guess that has to do with removing some unconscious barriers about being scared of the value of money

tfw you "wake up", get out of the sleeping place, a "plausible" version of the day starts playing out... and then you find out that you're still at the place where you were when you went to sleep.
now you're actually awake, previous time was just a dream.

I found the move inception retarded until this thing happened to me 3x in one dream, i had to wake up 4 damn times in one morning, thank god it wasnt monday.

Good to hear that you are back on track, if a fish like me can give tips: when i swap sites or limits i move a lot closer to my abc game, try to avoid making the risky plays against regs until i get data on them and just abuse the same type of fish or exploitable ppl that exist on any site or any limit, the profits from this usually give enough confidence to swap back to my normal game.

On the other hand, maybe the regs arent adjusting to you already, since they cant have too big of a sample considering you play z, maybe the population statistics are lot closer to your style there and they counterplay by default.

Your opening post was the best one on the site ever, more updates like that please, dont make sneak up to z50 just to chipdump to you to cheer you up and give your confidence back! Good luck
