Since I'm sure nobody cares, we purchased a replacement battery for Mrs Vorpal's laptop.
It came with instructions.
Nothing about how to charge, it how to insert it or anything sensible.

I was almost entirely a page of warnings.
It could have been called, "Things no-one ever thought of doing to a laptop battery anyway"

 "Never hammer a nail into the battery" (I presume hammering anything else into the battery is OK)
 "Never hit a hammer on the battery pack" (are we protecting the hammer or the battery?)
 "Always keep the battery out of reach of infants of small children". Good idea, but small children here rarely have any infants.
 "Never throw the battery against a wall". We thought of doing this one, 'cuz we're such rebels, but feared for the safety of the wall.

We decided to disobey this one:
"Never expose the battery to any liquid". We brought a glass of water really close. The battery screamed in terror, so we stopped.

yes.... sometimes it is a curse to be able to read and write... that draws so many problems by itself...

...but to abuse a battery pack intentionally is a crime!!! shame on you!!
