JANUARY

LIFE

Lose 10lbs - Done. 186 - 175 = 11lbs :f_thumbsup: Cut out crap and alcohol and moved around some more!
Drink no alcohol - Drank on one occasion beginning of month and one at the end so happy with that. :f_ugly:
Go to gym twice a week - not done and don't think this will happen. I don't really enjoy the gym. I am back playing footy on Thursdays and jog Tuesadays :f_p:
Enroll on counselling course - Done :f_thumbsup:

POKER

Play 15K hands - Done :f_thumbsup: (15,442)
8 hours study - Done easily but not enough on specific leaks as yet
Watch my training video again - Done :f_thumbsup:
Attend a live coaching session - Not done :f_mad:
Improve my red line - Stopped the line dropping too steeply for sure :f_thumbsup:

Some nice check-marks for January in both life and poker categories. :appl:

Thanks guys, you too :f_thumbsup:

January was pretty tough poker wise. Started poorly then managed to pull it round then lost the plot again, whilst working with the new hud and making some adjustments.

Finished positive but ran pretty badly IMO

Red line has improved as you can see. Loads of work to do in most areas but this month I will concentrate more on locating fish from my "fish list" so volume may suffer!!!

Oh and I'll more than likely be playing 6 max now too, so volume may not have to suffer and obviously I will not have lot's of fish on my DB from this format!

Holy shit 6 max is the place to be!

Had a cracking start to February so hope it continues. Went over to 6 max and found so many more fish which is poring to be very profitable. Had to cut back to 6 or 7 tabling but hope to add more asap.

Played live on Friday at my local casino. Ignored the tournament as it finishes far too late (5am). Decided to play 25p/25p (£30 max buy in) blind cash table which is ridiculously soft. The plan was to play 7pm to 2am. That is what I did, sat side by side with my mate. I ran like God and left with a tidy £160 profit. The tourney winner only cleared about £250 so was more than happy with my work.

Run good has continued into this evening so I'm expecting a big smack round the chops by the variance police some time soon. :why:

GL at the tables guys and girls :gl:

Hy John!

Very nice profit on a 25p game!

Are you playing the normal tables?
I started with normal tables, but I moved to zoom after some 10k hands

Maybe I'll put a serious Life goal: gain 10 lbs.

Haha

Actually i would like the double, but thats so impossible and 10 sounds good.
But, that's will require a lot of food on my stomach + drink a lot of beer + no go to toilet + work out f'ck'n hard + something else...

haha, seriously, i'm on my actual weight for almost 10 years, and i have a very fast metabolism, just hard to gain some weight.

As with poker. The weight goal success came from concentrating on my game (food intake and exercise). As long as you're eating healthily and moving about a bit then your weight isn't important unless you look like death or are having trouble wiping your ass!

I'm playing normal tables for now but may consider zoom. Not sure how the volume compares? How many tables I can play? What adjustments I should make?

All questions I need to answer before dipping my toes. I am however enjoying my current format for now.

GL mate and welcome back.

A big moment in my poker career tonight................

I folded KK pre :wtf:

I am running insanely well still and will soon be taking a shot at NL10 if things go to plan :sfishg:

nice red line :)

I'm adding check raises into my blind games now, and some donk bets too on turns.

I also folded KK and AA preflop before. I did not feel good about it :f_drink:

Tonight will be my last session until the 27th.

After a great start to the month it's kind of a pity I'm going on holiday this Tuesday for 10days!

I won't be able to complete my volume goal but it will give me a chance to watch w34z3l's walk through video series (if the wifi is up and running in the In-laws place).

As for taking a shot at NL10. I won't want to fire straight into it on my return so will probably give it a couple of weeks to settle back in.

I'm also going to try and build up some tokens for the next Grand Prix at DTD as its a £1million guarantee for a £100 buy in, now there's value for you! All happening end of May bank holiday.

GL all x

Wow, it seems there's a lot happening (or not) here at PS at the moment. It's like a war zone!

I think I'll remain "on the fence" although I do understand why people would be upset by the recent events. As I'm a low volume player with no site linked to PS I'm not massively affected (as yet). I do hope things are sorted soon and the world of PS is a happy place again :gl:

:banana::banana: I mean come on guys, they did introduce dancing bananas. is this not enough compensation?

February

As expected my volume was very low this month due to my 10 day break in Spain. Holiday was great but how things have changed! Up at 7am every morning is not really my idea of a holiday :why:

A good month poker wise:

Moved onto 6 max
Watched 7 of w34z3l's walkthrough vids (need to watch em again)
Achieved 20bb/100 (over small sample) :profit:

Things I like about 6 max

More action
More fish (ahem, recreational players :milord: )

I will continue to play 6 max and hopefully get round to taking a shot at NL10 later in March if all goes well.

I aim to play at least 15K hands in March and also have my ranges down in Equilab! I posted a question in poker tools thread asking if anyone knows how I can create a document with all my equilab ranges on, so I can print it out and have it to hand. Anyone help with this?

The little one is requiring more and more attention so playing time will be after bed time only.

Live poker tomorrow evening at my local, 3k gtd! Good luck guys

Played live last night. Managed to chop it 6 handed at 5.30am this morning :deadhappy:

£550 and £130 for last man standing optional comp. :truestory:

Knackered but really pleased with my play. I wanted to play on FTW but was too late/early and seriously becoming a crap shoot.

August wrap!

Played The Goliath and came 117th out of 4000+ for £600. Unfortunately my AA could not beat QQ for a 1,000,000 chip pot :censored:

That's about it. I haven't had internet since moving into my new house (about 2 months). Plan to hit the 180's or MTTs this time round, if and when we get the connection!

Best of luck all :gl:
