Not so much for their support and cold decks.

They love bad players too much so they protect them and make sure you end up break-even. I don't believe I run bad. Spots like AA vs 44 on flop with dished out 4 on river or AA vs 66. AKs vs AKs vs AKs with two running spades on turn and river etc etc. I wonder why am I still trying in there..

This site owes me lots of money but they won't ever give a fuck no matter what I do. I hope one day they'll realize what they did to poker. Together with UB, FTP, AP and other sites that don't care about anything but profits from low stake players at any cost.

I believe that you only remember the bad beats and forget about your winning hands.
Try to filter your premium hands to see how many times you have won/lost.

I have tried to filter AA and KK in 3 different poker sites where I was dealt AA and KK and hands went to showdown.
Here is the result:

Pokerstars: 384 x AA won 82,29%
iPoker: 95 x AA won 80%
Microgaming: 502 x AA 79,48%

Pokerstars: 414 x KK won 70,53%
iPoker: 93 x KK won 76,34
Microgaming: 522 x KK won 69,54%

As you can see the Pokerstars ain't that bad compared to other sites:f_drink:

I have been grinding 888 poker tournaments with no good results so far... What is a good % of attempts against getting in the paid places? From 10 tournaments if you get paid in one is that good?

Hey ikplayr,

Welcome to the forums. :welcome:

If you are playing to achieve the highest possible finish then you are not far from the mark. Most good pros average between 12% and 15%. When i first started playing MTTs, my ITM was 25%. This was a sign that I was soft-playing the bubble to ensure I got in the money. Obviously by this time I would be short stacked and unlikely to go any further than the minor payments.

So always play to give yourself the best chance for a high finish, even if this means risking busting on the bubble.

Regards

Laz

Well :-) I am done on stars that is for sure. I got tired of their bad beats. I paid close attention to the odds. They make it lot easier. TT vs 99 pre. Str8 vs top pair + gutshot on turn etc etc. Now I can come clear about how stars cheated me and others off money by not upholding their own policies. I will post HHs on 2+2.

I have also seen double treatment. Guys that abused me wrote about 2 pages full of F-words and although I called moderator twice nothing has happened to them. I appealed on their chat customer service, nothing has happened again. So I tried to test it myself. Wrote two lines only and called moderator. I got insta-banned for 3 hours and their customer service didn't even reply to me.

I would have no problem to fight their cold decks, bots or whatever they throw in to make most of their faithful customers.

However if they show absolutely no regards for the players and don't address issues related to their integrity, then I have no faith in them whatsoever.

Any suggestion for a good site? I have few ideas myself. I have left some small bankroll on FTP and will be perhaps trying SKY POKER first and let people see some great poker on TV :-))

You might get tired of the poor traffic on other poker rooms :f_biggrin:

Both Full Tilt and PokerStars are owned and operated by the same company so it's gonna be like getting out of the frying pan into the fire. :f_biggrin:

I don't think I could cope with the variance of mtts in stars. I believe their fields are huge compared to other networks'. Over 300 people for an mtt would get me crazy. I enjoy Party Poker for mtts too.

This. I work my ass of on sunday storm and result is 60k stack and great position. Well at least until i get fcked against donkey fish who manages to beat my suited AQ with AJ... ok it happens...in general, but the problem is how many times and how it happens! Every fckin time when i am dominating opponent, stars RNG flops fckin wet board for opponent. Guy has AJ vs my suited AQ and fcker flops flush draw and straight draw till he rivers a jack. So instead of me having over 100k stack i get fcked on measly 10k which means game over.

The horror!

Anyone got any suggestions for good sites for freerolls?

My aim is to build a small bank from purely freerolls. I'm collecting tickets nicely for Full Tilits $250 weekly freeroll but ain't doing very well on Bet365 daily $25 and $50 freerolls. I hate the fact Bet365 daily freerolls are superturbo doesn't seem to fit in well with my tight aggressive style, so I would like to find some daily freerolls which aren't superturbo.

I've seen and read hilarious stuff on the internet about stars/full tilt. I can't defend myself but have to laugh hard. I got through the most insane bad beats on FTP as well. I won few tourneys at first where everything seemed to be random and all of a sudden I am running into Quads, full houses and best flips that I have are like JJ vs 99 with 9 on the flop and no help from God Himself. I run normal on play money tables where beating fish is no bother, yet the minute I enter the ring, whether I flip or not, I face some kind of funny hand. My last hand of last night basically went KQ vs A9s (I didn't get it in good, but hey there are two ways to get me down. Have worse and run into nuts - which in poker is normal or have better or flip and run bad. In most cases I lose anyway) flop comes 999. There is nothing else to say just knock the felt. I have had good fun losing approx. $8 and I am ready to bust there $17 more trying to beat their cold deck.

However I went to play on Party as I mildly remembered that the site, is somewhat solid, besides my past experience of having to play too high of a stakes, not many tournaments with slow BI structures.. Etc. However these things slightly have changed to better and I really enjoyed the "no pressure" 1c tourneys and 2NL tables. I enjoyed the action so much, that I was willing to play fish HU when tables were breaking even though HU is my weakest game (or at least so I thought since I couldn't win a flip for ages on stars/full tilt. And without winning last hand, there is no winning player for HU).

I've lost big hand KK vs randomized 7 but still kept about 4+ BIs and basically had only one big stack to worry about. I have managed to get my dough back, but I didn't get the slightest piece of it. This guy calls me down with 5 high for T high on all 3 streets. I am having aces, he is calling down. And he is willing to pay $4 more bucks on the river as well.. Un-freekn believable!

My first impressions? Tourneys are geared towards rebuy. I was basically always against the wall even best hands running into monsters like Quads on pre-flop all ins. It was contrary to my Cash Game, where I seemingly run good, but! I have also played very solid as the suckout sites have taught me. There was plenty of fish. You can overbet to somewhere between 16-28BBs and still get enough action.

Now when I think about it, the action was way too much. Maybe there is some ring operating because same guys paid my big hands to the till by both over calling. One of them always min-raising my limp and then they both went ahead and call something like 25BB re-raise.

Although there seems to be very little or almost no action, I would recommend Party as alternative to THESE Giants: stars/fulltilt, as Party seems to be one of the few places where you can run decent and play decent without fear of having frequent suckouts (unless you mass multi-table ofc)
