Opponent was playing 36/33. Should I consider folding to his river raise?

Preflop fold or 4bet bluff. River easy fold.

Yes, consider folding. Then just pay him the five bucks.

If villain is active post flop I don't like your river bet.

If he is aggro. leave him to bluff river. Preflop I would consider also 4bet bluff or fold. Playing oop in 3bet pot vs. aggro guy is not something I like.

Imo it's a fold on the flop. Once you decide to call flop it's an xc on the river.

@ anyone saying KQ should be 4bet bluff blind vs blind, no. Especially against 36/33 villain, fuck no. Folding is also super terrible.

More info would be nice on villain 36/33 give no real indication if he's aggro postflop.

I don't mind x/c flop given the small sizing, and with the second nuts we definitely have to value bet river. Anyone saying x/c river, wtf? Only because you saw the results man. :f_biggrin: you lose a ton of value by checking river, he will just check back his Ax and worse flushes which is most of his range.

As played with no other info, I guess you have to assume he's also aggro post and call river, but with certain postflop stats it could be a fold.

metza, do you mean 4bet stack off? I also don't see any weaker flushes In his range by the river.

pf is good!

river vs an agro player i would be check-calling or betting smalish to call a raise, as played, i would just fold to his raise, he is not bluffing to that size

If we bet the river we have to fold, as I do not see him raising with weaker 9spades flush. If you want to let him bet his weaker holdings- you x/call and do not invest much. I don't think Ax one pair hand is betting or calling on this board.

his stats are 36/33 ,this indicates he is calling open raises just 3% so if we shove he is probably tightening to QQ+,AK
if villain has a high 3bet% then my plan would be to 4bet bluff ( 4bet small/fold or 4bet all in )

calling 3bets and playing fit/fold postflop is a leak that most of us have
in this case it is even more -EV to call because we are OP

i suggest calling preflop with AA in this spot and let him make a c-bet then shove

Imo this hand is actually played reasonably aside from the river which should be a bet/fold.

Yeah, I would 4bet bluff preflop. I don't feel comfortable playing this hand in 3bet pot oop. Given his stats (36/33), maybe we can assume that KQo is a bit too strong for bluffing, but I would still 4bet bluff.

i would x/c river. not because i am afraid of the Kx, but because against this specific guy i expect him to rep the flush with his air on the river :f_biggrin: i think he's more weighted towards air than towards Ax, and lower flushes that don't bet turn are very few (what could it be? something like A7o?)

as played, i recommend typing in "what the hell" in the chat box and going from there.

This is just a brain-fart. (Thought he bet $5, didn't raise or whatever I thought.)

Villain just invested $10 to win $14 on that board. With a bluff? Yes, but nowhere near often enough. Fold as everybody sane in this world says.

KQx turning into 4bbluff is nonesense

I'm not sure that he thinks it's nonesense. His ranges suggest to 4bet bluff this hand SB vs BB. :f_biggrin: Just it may be wrong against this guy.
