Good luck!
So it goes. Poker is over for me for now. Totally tilted. Lost at least 5 stacks to river suckouts in my NL10 shot, I couldn't take the fucking tilt. I was making good pots, but then disaster struck again and again. Even lost a 300bb deep stack to a guy rivering a straight flush (I flopped a full house), I was already taking bad beats left and right like a man, but you can imagine the tilt that gave me. Went right over to NL50 and starting shipping left and right on purpose to lose my remaining BR. Proving that I can crush NL5 is really no consolation and not enough for me. Once again I haven't been able to make it past NL10. It's sad, but the truth seems to indicate I'm not smart enough and don't have the poker makeup to make it past NL 10. Oh well. Fuck this. GL everyone and thanks for the support or following this blog. Sorry the story didn't end as everyone wanted it to end.
I hope you're kidding
Tilt is always lurking behind our back but we have to go over it. Patience is the cure. I hope you have something left in cashier to grind it back when your head cools off. There's nothing shameful grinding NL5. With time you will adapt to NL10 and will crush it for sure. Sleep it over and take day off.
Good luck!
So, I got $20 free in cash game "credits" by linking my FT and PS accounts. Turned that into $40 in no time playing NL10 sh rush poker. I'm really amazed at the difference in play types between NL10 in Full Tilt and NL10 in Ipoker. I was convinced Ipoker was the softer site, but it's easier to play against 90% tight players on FT then against 30% or 40% aggro reg/fish on Ipoker NL10. I'm really surprised at how many blinds get autofolded, and how many times everyone autofolds to the bb on Full Tilt so far. I think the average VPIP is less then 15 LOL. Insane for sh. I wish I hadn't thrown away my Ipoker BR before finding this. With a $200 BR I'd be real comfortable to start off NL10 sh on Full Tilt from what I've seen so far. Starting with $20, now $40, will require somewhat of a feat to avoid downturns and turn into a "safe" br for the buyin level. Will update in a few days if I'm successful here. Also have a nice FTOPs sat ticket I also got for linking my account. Looking forward to SATing into the $33 event.
I have other free BR offers in hand. Gonna take some time to think what to do. Grinding through NL5 on Ipoker again to reach an NL10 br just bores the hell out of my to think about it. Waste a full month or two playing a level I have no problem with isn't the type of challenge or thing I really look forward implementing my time on.
And BTW, thanks for the messages supporting me, I'm sorry I let the followers of the blog down. But I guess this is part of the poker learning process and hopefully this will help someone that read my blog avoid tilting their BR.
With 4BI it's really hard to play it comfortably. Have in mind that big swings are possible and also tilt might show it's fangs again. I would advise you to play 4 tables at NL5 and be "more" comfortable. I understand your argument about NL5 but having all BR on the tables is definitely something what might influence your level of play.
I'm happy you're still here to grind and rebuild your BR. Don't try to rush it although you're playing rush ![]()
Good luck and hopefully we can do some sweat session this time.

Agree
Start at NL5 and have a bigger back up than 4 shots at NL10. I played a bunch of hands on NL5 Rush at the weekend. Very soft!
Deposited U$S 100 into Pokerstars around a week ago. Been playing a little bit of everything, testing the waters to see what's softest right now. Decided to concentrate on NL5 Zoom and $0-$3 MTT's. Playing a couple of SCOOPs though, against sane BR management. But I've always done well in them. Played the $11 super knockout where I bubbled and the $27 NL Holdem on Sunday. Cashed U$S 70 there, 1400/18000 players. Funny anecdote is I was in the same table with Jason Mercier, with the same amount of chips, he was real tightish. I don't know his normal play style but 10/7 seemed real tight for a Pro playing in a fish fest Low Scoop event. Below screens from the cash and Mercier on my table.

Damn. So, what do you guys use to upload pics now? Can't use imageshack anymore without paying. Will upload the images when I get access to a free hosting service for pics.
lol 10/7 is NIT o.O
He is right... Super slow structures, just sit and wait.
Use TinyPic to upload images, is just like old imageshack.
You play zoom 6max or FR?

Had a pretty decent session tonight, focusing on MTTs. No zoom played. Played a couple Spin & Go's in dead periods. Was really close to a decent cash, but bonked out 15/1080 in a $0.50 turbo. Stealing blinds with a healthy 15 BB stack from the SB vs. a 5/3 rock on the BB, he wakes up with an AQs vs. my 39o. A on the flop ends my tournament. Sigh.
I cash $4 only when 1st was $100. Oh well. ![]()

Thanks for reading my blog. I'm playing FR. I find it much more exploitable then 6 max. I'm playing 25/22 VPIP in FR. Stealing is as easy as taking candy from a baby, and post flop play is so soft you can win most pots uncontested.
I'm also taking a serious look at Spin & Go's. Wish I was at $150 to $200 BR to play $3 ones. $1's are supersoft (15 wins out of 25 so far) but I find the buyin and prize pool too low in comparison to the energy expended, on the HU in particular. They are volatile though. If you don't cash most of the bigger prize pools you get screwed over. For example in $6 prize pool $1's I won only 1/4. Had really bad luck. But on the $2 prize pool ones I've won a staggering 14/21. So basically if you don't win when it matters it kills your win rate. Winning just 4 $6 counts like winning 12 $2 prize pool ones. If for some ridiculous reason one participates in a $3000, $200 or $100 prize pool one and loses it, it would be a tragedy.
BTW for some reason can't get tinypic to upload my pics. Tried my Firefox and Chrome. Gonna have to look for another option.

Oh, lol, that's convenient. Will upload some screens tonight. Thumbs up for that update to the pokerstrategy forum.
Short session today, from my cell phone (played blind with no stats).
Played 2 MTTs and 6 Spin & Gos. Went very deep into a knockout tourney. As usual, just takes one shitty hand hitting for villain to knock you out. AJo vs. Q2s PFAI, hits a river flush. Of well. Was really close to a pretty decent cash.
It has to happen sometime. Just need a little touch from the luck gods at the right time to nail my first big cash.
MTT total buyins $3.52 MTT winnings $9.42
Spin & Go buyins $5 Spin & Go winnings $8
Total buyins $8.52 Total winnings $17.42
$2.70 NL Holdem Turbo Knockout 186/5324 $6.92 + $2.50 Knockouts = $9.42 total (675 paid)
$0.82 NL Holdem Turbo 1866/3661 (765 paid)
Played a session tonight 1/2 from my cell phone 1/2 from my computer, so I don't have the exact placings in each tournament. Got very far in a $1.10 + R. Unfortunately when I was a double up or two away from a sizable cash ($50+) I ran 33 into JJ and tournament was over for me. Oh well. Still waiting for the luck gods to give me that little push of extra luck needed to nail a tournament.
The worst thing is that I had a horrible rebuy period. Couldn't hit a single double up. I rebought 8 times, which is a record for me, I don't think I ever rebought more then 4 times in a tourney. So in the end I was barely breakeven after more then two hours tourney and ending in the top 8% of the field.
BTW HEM SUCKS for MTT's. I have to track tourneys manually to know the field sizes and on rebuy tourneys it doesn't compute rebuys right and there isn't even an addon field.
MTTs
$18.97 buyins $11.12 winnings
$1.10+R NL Holdem Turbo (Buyin + 8 rebuys + 1 addon = $11 spent) 83/1118 $11.12
$1.10 NL Holdem Time 30 Min 49/126
$0.55 NL Holdem Turbo ?/?
$2.75 NL Holdem Time 60 Min ?/?
$2.20 NL Holdem 100/?
$0.55 NL Holdem Turbo 456/?
$0.82 NL Holdem Turbo 538/?
Spin & Go's
4 played - 2 ITM
$4 buyins $ 8 winnings
Here are the promised screens. Jason Mercier playing next to me in Scoop 24-L. I was 1397/17751 for roughly $70. Mercier busted around 1800th in this one.

Again some very good performances, but yet again close but no cigar.
29/700 on a $1.10 tourney and 104/2327 on a $3.30 tourney. But yet again, in both I was a double up away from a reasonable cash and maybe two double ups away from reaching the final table, but again the luck gods didn't respond in crunch time.

Also played a SCOOP from my cell phone during the day, major cooler vs. a loose agro fish with JJ and hitting trips, fish hits a gutshot straight on the turn with K6s in a 3 bet pot.. Out barely after the first break. Earliest I've ever been eliminated in SCOOP.
Happens.
Played a few Spin & Go with a small loss.
MTTs total buyins = $18.93 Total winnings = $9.99
S & G buyins = $4 Winnings = $2
From cell phone:
$11 NL Holdem Turbo Progressive Super Knockout SCOOP Out right after the first break. K6s 3 betting villain lucks out with a 4-8 straight with vs. my JJ trips.
Night Session :
$3.30 NL Holdem Turbo Progressive Super Knockout 104/2327 ($5.23 + $1.50 KO = $6.73 total)
$1.10 NL Holdem 29/700 $2.94
$0.82 NL Holdem Turbo 504/1504 306 paid
$0.11 NL Holdem Turbo 708/1129 234 paid
$2.20 NL Holdem 1117/2817 342 paid
$100K Privilege Freeroll (Ticket + rebuy + addon = $0.40) 872/7077 $0.32
Spin & Go
4 played = $4 in buyins Winnings = $2
Crushed the hell out of NL5 Zoom for the last hour, 2 tabling. 326 hands playing 35/28. Table 1 ended with $8.19 Table 2 $18.08, profit between both tables = $16.27 more then making up my losses in MTTs today.
It helped that there was a wave of fish for around 1/2 an hour, plus I stacked a rockish reg with trips. Could have made another $6 profit in my last hand but I decided to fold flopped trips vs. a 5/2 rock. I had 77 on 7Q3 board. Villain only cold called from bb. So he could have had 33, but I didn't want to run in QQ trips after such a good session.
he check raised big on a blank turn so I decided to head for the exit and play safe. ![]()
