@tonypmm tx a lot for supporting and giving advices _drink: I never go up in stakes until I'm certain that I could beat that stake. I consider that in poker you will always win (and quite big) if you know your place where you belong ( of course I learn that on the hard way by :f_grin: )

So far I have to do a lot of things myself first until I will start to take private coaching's, I have a clear image of what I can improve by my own and where I could use some help, as I mention I will update here all the new things that I will learn, so far no updates last week because I didn't had time to study at all :( (or correctly said "I have some time but not the will to study :( )

I never took in consideration what I will do if I hit a big multiplier (chances to hit that are very low taking in consideration that I'm not expecting to play more than 20 000-30 000 games/year, but for sure if it happens in the next 5-6 week I will never move up in stakes.
had a lot of things to solve first:
1. Acquire a proper Spin&go HUD
2. Learn how to adjust PF ranges based on HUD stats,
3. improve the posflop game
4.master the skill of making notes on regular in order to exploit them
5.subscribe to spinwiz
6.buy the new package from PrimordialAA for Spin$goes and HU (I already have the package from coffeyay which as I mention above is very good but PrimordialAA said that also this package that he made is very interesting and has a lot of advance discussions and deep analyses )
....

This are just few of the things that I have in mind to do first until I move up :)

@alenstrat, tonypmm also tx for enjoying the quote :)
btw tonypmm before i start this 15$ on PS.eu I also played on FTP the 10$ ones, around 500 . I consider FTP more valuable to grind because you have the extra 25/50 level (even the stacks are shallow at that point having it brings extra +EV ) and the making deal button is also +EV because there is always that change you can make a very profitable deal for you in a high multipliers (>100x) since the opponents have no idea what ICM means. But because they have $10 and the next limit is $50 I was forced to move up on starts where I have 15$ and 30$ stakes.

Now something funny, look how weak are the regs at this stakes :f_ugly:
PokerStars - $14.25+$0.75|10/20 NL (3 max) - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 27 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 50.00, 3Bet Preflop: 100.00, Hands: 6)
SB: 17.5 BB (VPIP: 74.51, PFR: 59.09, 3Bet Preflop: 9.09, Hands: 55)
Hero (BB): 30.5 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♣ J♠

fold, SB raises to 2 BB, Hero raises to 4 BB, SB calls 2 BB

Flop: (8 BB, 2 players) Q♣ 7♦ 9♣
SB checks, Hero bets 4 BB, SB calls 4 BB

Turn: (16 BB, 2 players) J♦
SB bets 9.5 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 9.5 BB

River: (35 BB, 2 players) 3♣

Spoiler

SB shows 7♠ A♥ (One Pair, Sevens)
(Pre 28%, Flop 19%, Turn 0%)
Hero shows J♣ J♠ (Three of a Kind, Jacks)
(Pre 72%, Flop 81%, Turn 100%)
Hero wins 35 BB

Heh, I'm a bit afraid of paying $499 for a video pack (which is not even a private coaching hours pack) :f_ugly: Surely, if it improves the winrate by 1 cent per tourney, it's well worth the money, but any kind of training materials might also trigger some self-destructive tendencies and drop my winrate (especially because HU regs teach exploitive strategies, which are exploitable by definition and can backfire if used carelessly), so I'd still prefer to be reviewed by a coach from time to time.

I suspect that the former top HU regs are abusing the hype around Spins and their reputation to get big money from students looking for a fast track to riches. All kinds of advice from coaches should be taken with a grain of salt (analytically), and I'd rather analyse a good cheap pack for long than take a great expensive pack for granted.

Fwiw, I don't think Coffee put enough effort into the PS-gy video published yesterday. I think that's actually why it's merely Gold and to be sold for $6.99 at the store. In the review part, he said 'It's close' many times, didn't bother to run some more advanced analysis (checking the J9s push/fold spot with Holdemresources Calculator, altering the pusher's range to reflect population tendenices and reads, doesn't even qualify as 'advanced', and, say, Collin Moshman routinely does it in his videos and coachings). That said, the video does give food for thought, so the price is justified.

Hi friend,

I am trying to get a staking coach, do you think it is a good idea? for me is not problem to deposit money to play in higher stakes, but i can not do that because i will lose, so i think whit the coach i can improve my game and make a big jump.

Also, how do you see population at $10 at FullTilt, i play $5 there and sometimes you have to wait 30-60 seconds for the game to begin, and you find more recurrently with the same players, have a villain which i have played more than 250 hands on 3 handed and more than 80 on HU.

¡Hola, amigo!

Please bear in mind that stakers won't accept you until they're convinced that you're going to be a winning player at the stake that you're planning to play. Otherwise they might still stake you, but take an overly big share of your profit. So I think that, taking into account that you're well-off and have side income (hence an 'almost infinite bankroll'), it's best to pay for bare coaching by your own money, but keep 100% of your profit to yourself.

In general, staking exists mainly for those force majeure cases when a winning player has suffered a big downswing (but has had a good EV) or real-life circumstances have forced a big withdrawal.

@nvelev ty :)
@bonecore ty :)
@ breena nice :)
@aeusse like tonypmm told you above getting a stake should be the last thing you will do :) keeping all of your profit and invest a 10%-20% of it in study (buying videos, poker tools, have personal coach) is more profitable and +EV (at least in theory )
About population at $10 on FTP I consider it more more weaker than $15 on PS, but I never wait for more than 5-6 seconds for a jackpot to open, maybe you've played at some early hours with very few online players. I also get familiar with some regs but they where quite weak to get me in trouble spots

@ tonypmm indeed is a bit high $499 but for me for sure is value since I'm a bit behind with understanding advance concepts at this hypers. Or at least at this point I consider this, for the moment this is just in the plan and I didn't think that much about having a personal coach (which started to look like a very good idea). I'll decide at that point where is better to invest the money so far I still have to finish the Coffeyay package
btw thank's for the feedback about his video, I'll do my best that this feedback reach Coffeyay since he is not a member of our team, we are having this video from the partnership with HUSNG.com

Btw, how many EV chips per tourney did you have at FTP $10s?

Regarding Coffee's video, Moskvyak has just posted a comment on it, 'I wish Coffey train more people)'. That says it all :f_biggrin: :yaoming:

I am on the way of the staking, tomorrow will get the answer of this. I played at night my time, which is about 3am to 8 am Europe, maybe that is the problem.

Yes, it's an offpeak time. The peak ends when it's 5-7 PM in Colombia.

60 chips/game but on a small sample of only 580 games.

I also saw that comment:( soon will have some dubbed advance spin videos from russian community ;)

Oops, it looks like the era of Russian domination in Spins will end then :f_eek: It was too good for too long.

However, in Moskvyak's blog, BM friendzdrt said that some people had 'smiled' at the former's videos too :f_tongue: No coach is a source of absolute truth, obviously. The content of them all should be approached analytically.

OP, on the one hand, 60 chips per tourney don't seem outstanding, but on the other hand, your chip winrate at the 15s has been noticeably worse (how has it changed, btw?) and it does confirm your words about the relative field toughness.

So far on PokerStars I won 57 chips/ tourney, I know is not great but is a good start imo, but the population is significant more tighter than on FT. There pushing AK AQ and mid pair directly is very very profitable, you get tones of calls from weak Ax and even suited connectors. On Stars I observed that population fold a lot to that kind of play and I'm thinking seriously to give up pushing direct this hands.
You how do you play them?

Cool blog, will be following!
Heard so far from couple people that up to 30s field is still very beatable. The higher you go, the better player field you will encounter such as HU hyper regs who play shallow stack post flop the best vs other SNG regs.
I find your plan very interesting and should motivate other players to work on their game. Wonder how long it will take you to master all the areas you mentioned?
GL and have fun Teddy :)

I have the same observations (though I've played even less than you), people call 3bAI too wide on iPoker too :f_drink:

Whether to play FTP's or iPoker's 10s is a close decision; I'd rather skip Stars' 15s altogether and go from the 10s straight to the 30s (for hourly's sake) next year to make SNE, but no one knows how the VIP club will change then.

That said, I have a tendency to abandon sites/limits after playing a few dozen or hundred games if I run bad chipwise and feel that there are 'too many regs' (which is the case for Stars' 15s+). Perhaps I should accurately count the rec-to-reg ratio in a text file during sessions, have promised myself to do this many times but keep forgetting it.

Long time no update, most of it because in the weekend I choose to finally able to celebrate my birthday with some friends.
It come out one of the best weekends in the last months :) We all gather and play and escape the room game at the friends from http://www.gameoftrolls.ro/despre-joc-escape-room which was AWESOME We where 5 teams in total and beside playing that escape the room game we also played some other board games and had some drinks (a lot of beer actually :) )

A room full of grinders _cool:

My team and I manage to finish the challenge in only 44 minutes placing us on the 1'st position :truestory:

Now poker wise this wasn't the greatest week but it could be worst

I manage to convince 2 friends that this spins are very profitable and we started to have study sessions, actually Monday was the first session and we study about BTN open ranges.

@IvicaIliev77 tx for support, I started but I didn't take it seriously until this Monday :)
@tonypmm i will not abandon PokerStars, at least until I have the skill to play the $50 ones on FullTilt :)

Stars regs are gonna be Stars regs, euro network regs are gonna be euro network regs :f_grin: These are two different mentalities, I reckon. The exponent of the Stars reg mentality is IvicaIliev77, being stubborn and striving to study his *** off and beat everyone no matter what the favourite poker room does against him :f_grin:
