Hi,

Loved the first video, think this series is just what I needed, lets get started.

Homework 1:

Spoiler

Spoiler

Reasons for a crashing red line (that I've known for a while but haven't been able to fix yet)

Phew here goes.

:diamond: 3-bet % isn't too high(5.27%) and BU is 4.04% while SB is 7.68%. I don't bother 3-bet bluffing guys with low fold to 3-bet%, was just reminded from the vid that I can still make em fold postflop
:diamond: Fold to 3-bet% is high across all positions(71.1%) I'd surely 3-bet me with ATC. Don't have an effective vs 3-Bet strategy in place
:diamond: Flop/Turn C-Bet% combo screams value only. Flop(49.7%) Turn(62%). Developed the mentality that they never fold so why bother and stopped looking for spots to bluff. Been working on this one lately, hoping the series adds more value
:diamond: vs Flop C-Bet% reactions are too predictable and I'm just exploiting myself. Flop x/r%(3.39%), Flop raise c-bet%(6.91%) flop fold vs c-bet%(60.5%). The same they don't fold so why bother mentality displaying results here.
:diamond: Meanwhile Turn fold vs c-bet% is 38.6% for obvious reasons, my floats are too strong on the flop and the turn stat reflects that.
:diamond: Fold to steal% SB:83.3% BB: 79.80% wow I'd exploit those stats all day long from the BU and CO but how do I play them when I'm on the other side?
:diamond: Finally the biggest problem I've tried to fix for ages but haven't been able to. WTSD, W$SD and W$WSF of 24.40%, 56.60% and 39.30%. The stats that show why my graph is such. I go to showdowns very carefully. I win more often and I fold a lot more before showdown leading to a bad W$WSF

Looking forward to learning how I can fix these leaks in the future videos. I've tried half baked stuff several times and have failed and come back to my nitty ways, this time I want to make a permanent fix.

Hi, here I will add my homeworks and pics/comments on progress throughout the series. To keep in mind the graph that I am posting is the only one that is actually loosing me money on other sites I am winning about 2-3bb/100. The reason for me to be posting this one is due to that I am currently playing here.

Im playing 10NL

Homework 1:

Spoiler

So this are all of my hands on this site:

Spoiler

This is from the time I started playing here again:

Spoiler

This are my problem areas:

Spoiler

1. First thing I noticed and this is not only on this network is that my EP is BE, which I have no idea why. Also my Blind play is 10bb/100 under what you say should a good winrate look like, mainly because of inproper postflop play I think.

2. The cbet % is way to low. The reasons for this are that there is a lot of players that are stations so I never bluff but on the other hand as it was mentioned in the video I also have the mentality oh this is to thin and I end up not value betting/barreling.

3. The 3bet % is to low and to my surprise I 3bet more OOP then I do IP which is worrying.

4. The Showdown stats indicate that I am giving up too much, which is wierd when you look at my River call efficiency.

5. The CC % is again too low.

6. The F3bet % would need to be lowered aswell.

Other things I have troubles with are:

1. Playing vs 4bets PF (for example I have done a few sessions now where I have expanded my 3bet ranges but I have noticed 2 regs that probably have a HUD who started 4betting me a lot with very weak hands and I don't really know how to play back at them)

2. The nut mentality: I always give my opponents too narrow of a range for doing something. For example I see someone 2-3 barreling on something like an Ax board and the draws have missed I have that mentality that I am always beat and it happens that I still call it and sometimes yes I am right that I was beat and other times the opponent shows a random 3 barrel with 0 EQ or something and I always feel like Im gambling when Im calling.

3. This one I already mentioned but it is the combination of the one mentioned above and not value betting thin enough vs fish.

Homework 2:

Spoiler

So this one will be a long one I guess. I will check every position vs every position and see where I am doing it wrong.

3betting vs UTG and MP
Vs these 2 positions I haven't found anything major there were a few hands that should be 3bets but weren't maybe because the opponent was unknown at that time or because of the table dynamics. I did found one occasion where I folded AKs BBvUTG vs a 7x open from a fish

BTNvCO
Oh god this is a big one I folded a gazilion hands that should be played as 3bets or atleast calls. The likes of AJo-ATo, AJs-A2s (not all of them should be 3bets ofcourse but the amount of those that I have folded should be lower). Also folded plenty of good Kx to bluff and some Qx that are clear call like QJs,JTs and so on. In short we have a problem.

SBvCO
Same as before way too many folds of hands that should be 3bets/calls

BBvCO
Looks better but still...

SBvBTN BBvBTN
Preety much the same story I was way too value heavy with 3bets here and I was mainly focusing on F3bet stat thats probably the reason for so many folds with potencial bluffs.

SBvBB
In this spot I am usually uncertain with some hands for example like Q5s whether to 3bet or call so I might sometimes even 3bet Q5s but call Q4s, since ranges are so wide here I don't have a clear "fine line" which I guess isn't that bad.

Squezing
When it comes to squezing it looks like I favor high EQ way more to squeze (ie. value heavy- prob because I was focusing too much on F3bet when looking to bluff)

Cbetting in 3bet pots
Is this normal?
I hope I have set the filters right.

River call efficiency when cbet is 0.92 so this should mean I overvalue my hands. When I don't cbet that is normally when I have a bluffcatcher or I slowplay I have a river call efficiency of 1.34 (still not very good).

Also noticed that my WTSD when not cbetting is 38 and W$SD 52 -->if that tells anything.
And when I cbet its 25/50.

So this is all for this homework feedback would be appriciated.

Hi guys,

Currently I'm playing on pokerstars NL25 SH, 4-5 tables.
6,4bb/100 looks good, but I think it would be better if red line was at least break even

Here is graph:

Homework 1

Spoiler

My stats:

Spoiler

Spoiler

Stats which I think should be improved:

 Fold vs 3bet from SB is a little bit to high
:diamond: To high 4bet range from BU. I've got to many bluffs here, which makes my BU fold vs 5bet around 70%
:club: My WWSF should be higher, which means I'm not agressive enough
:spade: Fold vs cbet- I definitely fold to much
:club: Raise flop- It's to low
:club: Donk bet- To low in single raised pots, just 5%
 Cbet/fold OOP- over 60%

Homework 2

Spoiler

3bet=true

Mistakes when I 3bet (or I don't, but I should):
COvsEP & COvsMP- I've noticed I sometimes 3betted hands I should fold like QJo, QTo, JTo or 3betted hands i should call: T9s,98s, 87s.

BUvsEP BU vsMP- Again I 3bet to much and sometimes hands I should fold (Axo) or just call- like suited connectors, some suited Ax vs opponents who open widely.

BUvsCO- overall i think I defend much enough
But I lose with hands which are no premium
There are hands I should sometimes 3bet (AQ,AJ,KQ,JJ,TT), but I call. And there are some hands I should call, but I 3bet.

My fold vs 4bet BU is 79%- that's becouse I bluff too much vs opponents who doesn't fold a lot and becouse don't 3bet BUvsCO AQ, JJ, TT, which I can call vs 4bet.

BBvsSB I defend around 50%, 3bet 11% & Cc 38%, which is pretty fine I think. I filtered bottom range which I 3bet and I was shocked- my red line in those spots is positive.
So definitly there is plenty of space to 3bet even more bottom range. The only one coin is I have got huge fold BBvsSB 4bet- around 80%. I filtered spot when SB opens I call. There were some good hands like AQ, AJ, ATs, KQs, that I shoud have 3betted and call vs 4bet, but I just called it. So, it would defenitly decrease my fold vs 4bet a little bit.

BU sqz should be higher- now it's 6%, but I filtered those spots and I see a ton on fold equity here.
I folded some KTo, K9s,A9o,A8o type of hands, which could be squeezed.

BBvsBU steal

Cold calling brings me profit. Even with bottom range and it's more than -100bb/100, which means i should defend a little bit more. Now I fold 67% vs BU steal, so I can lower it.

SBvsBB 3bet

I found some hands I could either call (99,88,QJs,AJo) or 4bet (ATo,KJo), but I folded. That's why I have fold SB vs BB 3bet so high.

Homework 3

Spoiler

I should cold call from BBvsBU a little bit more. Now it's 24,5%. 3betting frequency both from BB&SB vs BU open looks fine- 11,5% and 15%

My green lines are positive when BU opens and I decide to call, which definitly shows I should defend a lot more.

My ch/r in those spots is also too low- around 9% from BB, and 13% from SB.
Making it higher could move my WWSF up.

I defend around 50% vs SB open, which seems to be ok. But 3bet pre flop and raise flop cbet in those type of spots should be a little bit higher (now it's 11% and 12%)

I don't defend SB much enough vs CO open, it's just 11%- 8,5% by 3bet and 2,5% by call, so I can move some hands from 3betting range to cold calling range, like KQs,KJs,QJs,ATs and move down my 3bet bluff range, which will increase my range.

Homework 4

Spoiler

I found many spots which I could potentially donk bet in multiways, especially when I was sitting on the BB and there was BU and SB.

I missed opportunity to donk bet hands like gut shots with backdoor FD, some weak FD, some overpairs on low boards e.g. 88 on 553 and many overcards with backdoor FD, which I just simply played by ch/f, which now seems to be weak to me.

My cbet vs 2playets is 37, which is ridiciulous.
I filtered those spots I didn't cbet.
Many of them could be cbetted, especially when I was on the UTG or MP and villains on the SB and BB.
I checked back many spots, where I had backdoor equity and I could represent decent hand, e.g. AcQd on JcTcTd,
KsJd on As2s8d, JT on 974 r

the main leaks of my game IMHO are tilt and incompetence sometimes, i mean i call when i must fold and i fold when i must raise or push.

Inf. about):
Room : PokerStars.
Type: FR NL25.
my graph(this year):

Spoiler

HW1:

Spoiler

my stats:

Spoiler

Stats which I think should be fixed:
1) CB/fold (IP/ OOP) is too high(61%/65%)
2) fold to 3b In MP,CO, BU and SB is high 70,70,78, 80.
3) WTSD 23%, I think it should be 25-28%.
4) WWSF 44%, should be higher 48-50%.
5) fold vs stael in SB and BB oop to high ~80%.
6). 3b and skv 4.12 and 4.24 but should be ~6-8.
7) flop raise cb should be 15-18%, but now only 10.5%

HW2

Spoiler

3b=true

Spoiler

BU vs CO:
1)There're 30 situation with AJ/AT (missed 3b or profit call IP, with unknowns mostly)
2) 22 - with Axs
3) to many with KJo, KTo, QJo even KQo.
to bee continued)
BB vs SB
SKV BU
SKV CO
4b IP BU
CO

Questions:
1) 2nd video, about you sad that we can push (vs 3b) small pockets in short( Mss pl-s).
But even with pocket 99 it'll be only 2bb/hand.

Spoiler

For expl.: Hero CO vs SB(3b 12.5%, fold 2 4b 53%)

p.s. I'm from Ukraine, sorry my English)

Hello Weazel,
I've adjusted my gameplan according to your advices in this series, but I'm still not able to improve my red line signifficantly nor raise my wwsf (can't get it above 45) although I think, I'm using your advices nicely and being aggressive (sometimes more than) enough...Do you have any thoughts why is this my case? Is it maybe because I'm playing a little bit looser for NL25 (26/20) and mby have a lot of hands that I'm not able to defend (don't think it's the case, not overfolding much) or mby because I play on pkr, where there are quite a few fish, which I really don't want to bluff that much? Thanks for advices.

Hi, I liked your video. My red line goes up. Can you throw screenshots cold call and 3bet against all positions. I will be very happy.

P.S. Sorry for my bad English, I used Google translator:f_biggrin:

This thread is gold. My red line is a shame, I feel I'm not bluffing the correct spots! Maybe bluff raising the river is good!

Hi soni123
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:
