HU 3bet pot playing with a draw

c/r flop: this board hits a 3b calling range okish, mostly draws but ur not gonna get a ton of flop folds. our hand kinda sucks, only potential is a backdoor fd which opens the 2nd fd so u shouldn't expect super great FE. u can c/f but it's nice to have a c/r range and this hand is a pretty decent one to put in the bluff portion of it. set it up so u can jam turns when u pick up outs.

c/r ai turn: 9 is better for his range i think, u might get raised which is kinda lame, he can b/f a lot of hands, potentially some that have a lot of equity like FDs.

sizing is horrible overall: think about your plan on the flop and size your bets accordingly.

x/fold flop, x/call turn?

I absolutely agree with randomdonk, played it terrible and good advice.
Do you think 65s is a good hand for 3bet? I think maybe it would be better to flat and 3bet more like A7s-A2s, K7s-K2s, Q7s-Q2s, J7s-J2s,T7s,97s? Small SC like 65s, 76s, 75s better just call preflop?

Flop is marginal, as played turn is marginal (probably leaning towards x/f), as played river should be bet.

Preflop 3b would be a default for me. 43s+ I'd rather 3b a linear range with some suited connectors/gappers than eat into low Axs,Kxs,Qxs,Jxs type hands that make good cc's.

I would dump the hand OTT. Sure, you have a draw, but this is as good as you'll get. Meaning he might have in his hands, sets which turned into full houses or draws, about which you are not sure that, even if they miss, you will have the best hand.

LE: something is wrong with the positions in this hand. Preflop I see:

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 5
SB raises to $0.75, Hero raises to $2.75, SB calls $2

meaning that hero is IP, but then:

Flop: ($5.50) K 2 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.50, SB calls $3.50

Meaning hero is OOP.

Which is it?

It is heads-up, SB is in position.

i think its good to have the SC in your calling range and 3bet the gappers, but u need to think about ur overall strategy and how each hand (or type of hand really) plays into it. in a vacuum it's definitely better to 3bet i'd think.
if u 3bet every suited connector, every 1 gapper, every 2 gapper and then u have some other stuff, ur range is wide and air heavy. i doubt there is a big difference in the EV of 3betting 76s and 75s so i'd put those that play better into the calling range and get to have more value hands and good bluffing hands in more boards. i just think overall it's a better way to arrange the hands into ur game.

i think ur worst mistake here is bet sizing though, both in terms of how it affects the plan for the rest of the hand (i bet u'd rather have a 3/4 pot bet on the river wouldn't u?) and the EV of the bet (on the flop for example, u could bet 4bb less and have the same effect. that difference is HUGE.).
