$0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (SB): $70.53 (141.1 bb)
BB: $14.50 (29 bb)
UTG: $56.98 (114 bb)
MP: $86.18 (172.4 bb)
CO: $21.65 (43.3 bb)
BTN: $50.84 (101.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A K
UTG raises to $1.50, MP folds, CO calls $1.50, BTN folds, Hero raises to $7, BB folds, UTG calls $5.50, CO folds

Flop: ($16) A 2 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $8, UTG calls $8

Turn: ($32) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $16, UTG calls $16

River: ($64) T (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $25.98, Hero ?

The guy is reg. 24/19 from 200 hands, open UTG 25. Call 3bet 2 of 2 situations. Seems passive. River aggr. 18. Do we bet river to get value from AJs, or we give up? Do we take into account his aggression for 200 hands? Probably smaller bets on flop and turn?

turn Q is bad for us... Q completes AQ and QQ
we can x/c turn and x/f river if he bets
in the hand we bet turn while we are not commited :f_rolleyes:

fold to 3bet sample is 2 and we cant say we get value from AJs because it is not likely he has that hand.
he seems passive... this can mean that his river AF is mostly value if he refrains from betting until river.

River is a good x/f

and if he has AJs we are not getting value from it if we bet otr..x/f should be good here..

Check on turn, call if he bets 2/3-3/4 bet. Then on river check fold. If he checks behind on turn bet 1/2 on river. You are not commited to play for entire stacks in this 3bet pot. I would commit with an spr of 2-3.

As an alternative you can check call all streets if u think he is aggressive enough.

X/f seems reasonable. AJ is not betting there.

i think AQ is more a check calling hand and AK flop plan should be bet bet bet

this spot sucks especially as he also has AK so sometimes we also fold to that, if he checks AK back on the river tho I guess x/f is insanely good

What is the difference between AT, A7 and AK on this board compared with villain's range?

we shouldn't have a7 for 3betting UTG pre, AT i sometimes 3bet but I dont have it as played because I would check the flop as I don't have three streets

agree but the thing that sucks is we don't know if he value bets them, like AJ i think not and AK... maybe? so in that case would prefer to bet myself otherwise we let the weaker part of range check back and only bet with his sets & better two pairs. which makes x/f go up in EV if he checks them back

but regardless think I check the flop after 3B AT SBvUTG

Why bet river with AK when we beat only AJ?
Do we need a x/call range here?
