Opt me out, please. I'll participate again in the future when I don't have to withdraw so often, but it's pointless for me to participate right now. Thanks! :)

Why not have a go yourself?

I'm all-in!!
Link Text... << My blog

Starting bankroll $500.00 + $250 initial bonus + rake. Let's just say starting point $750, I'll take a stab at it to make it easier to calculate.

Reach $3,750
and at least a 3BB/100 rate @ 10-20k hands.

The real starting point.

Hi all! For the last weeks I have been looking to videos and articles, playing some hands with some free and play money, and I am finding that I love the game, almost as much as I love learning it.

I still consider myself an absolute beginner, I have played about 500 hands in 5NL on Titanbet.es, nowhere near the volume to ger comfortable even with the most basic strategy (I like to make sure I have a rock-solid stepping stone below me before building up on it). So I am boing to get an initial 40€ bankroll with a 20€initial deposit on Stars, as a tuition fee.

I consider that money spent, don't expect to get any profit from it, but I'd like to take it as far as I can, starting from 2NL.

The point is , I think that setting a BR challenge could improve my motivation to get better, and honestly it sounds like tons of fun. However, being a total beginner, getting from 40€ to 1000€ seems ridiculously hard to make...

Should I join?

Any advice would be appreciated :)

May you always get the nuts on the river.

If you bust, nothing scary will happen, you'll be able to rejoin in 4 weeks.

If you don't bust, you'll have about 1 chance in 30 every week to win a status upgrade (by one) from the English community (there's a weekly raffle), plus a status upgrade (either to Gold or by one to Platinum/Diamond) when you win the English challenge*, which is a great boost, as you won't be earning a lot of StrategyPoints at the start.

* The French community upgrades challenge winners to Diamond for a month :f_o: :f_drink: That can be a valid reason for revising the knowledge of French :f_biggrin:

So there's no downside to joining the challenge, in both English and Spanish communities. (As far as I know, taking part in the challenge in two or more communities at the same time is allowed as long as you maintain blogs and reports in each of these communities. Note however that the English comm. requires reports on Mondays for the previous week's play, while the Spanish comm. requires reports by Thursday morning for play from the previous Thursday to Wednesday, so you might have to do bankroll audits twice a week if you choose to combine them.)

(I'm not sure if we're allowed to write about play at Spanish sites in the English community, but in the Spanish one, we surely can. I think we can do it in the English community too because Titan, Pokerstars etc. are internationally promoting brands. Dear admins, please correct me if I'm wrong, and also please comment on whether Winamax - a partner site that promotes only to the French community but is available not only in France but in the majority of the other European countries except the regulated ones like Spain - is allowed to be discussed in the English challenge.)

Hey Tony,

Members can mention a non partner room if that is where they are playing. They just can't use PokerStrategy.com resources to link, advertise or promote that room. We already have some participants in GRODT who play on non partner rooms (wholly and partially).
