Something funny happened to me today. I decided to spend my points at Titan Poker, but turned out that I don't have high enough status to buy poker dollars or tournament tickets. I could just buy the casino bonus dollars. Great. :f_ugly: But since I don't plan to play at Titan anymore and I just played there to collect Strategy Points, I decided to buy those casino dollars and try my luck. :f_biggrin: So I took those $20 and openned the Roullete. :f_drink:

I started to put $1 on number 7 and 5th time of spinning, 7 came there! :sfishg: So I had 50 dollars! Hmm, I started to think that I need to do something to get at least some money out of it, so I decided to read the Terms and Conditions of the bonus and believe it or not, it turns out that I need to wager $1000 to be able to withdraw the money. So I started to bet $3 on first half of the circle and calculated that, in theory, I need to have $20 at the end (if I will hit my numbers in 50% of cases and number 0 hits every 37th time). I just needed to make 333 bets. :censored: Ok, I thought, if I manage to have $20 at the end, it's better than nothing! I started to bet and spin....

... at one point I had like $100 and was really at the better side of a variance, but after an hour and a half, I had $23! Weeee

So, I looked into my cashier and saw that I only have $3 in my real balance account. :wtf: So, I read the Terms and Conditions again and realized that the bonus money can never be transfered into real money balance and I can withdraw just winnings! So, after all that, I had just $3. What a joke. :mdr: Then I oppened a $2 Twister poker table and lost.. So, I said, stop the bulshit right away and openned the Roullete table again and put all $20 bonus money into first half of a circle, crossed the fingers and closed my eyes. Aaaaand... BINGO!! I realized my 49% of equity and earned $20 of real money. I broke the system and did the impossible! Eat that, Titan Poker! !:fouet:

Had a pretty rough day yesterday, with this awful graph as a result:

Ok, 2 buy-ins is not the end of the world, but it was a day when literally nothing works. So, I decided to spend an hour or two to analyse the yesterday's hands.

1) The biggest win. Tried to check/raise the flop I guess nothing wrong with this hand hand.

I didn't have much success with 3bets:

I tried to 3bet as much as possible and defend vs 3bets as much as possible. I've made some improvements latelly in this area, but still my main issues are:
:spade: 3bet a bit too less from all positions
:spade: Squeezing too less
:spade: Folding to 3bets too much
:spade: Folding to flop cbets too much
:spade: Folding to turn cbets too much
:spade: Not raising flop cbets aggressively enough

I'm trying to fix those, but I guess I've reached the point where you need to be very very skilled to make further improvements because I need just a little bit better numbers in every mentioned aspect. When I will fix those leaks, I will probably be ready for NL50. I know I need alot of time and effort, but it's definitelly worthed.

What's up, guys?

I'm really sick of spinning around. I just can't make a significant step forward this year. In average, I'm spending 1h and 24 minutes on playing per day, which means that I'm spending about 2 or 2,5 hours on poker per day, just to have this graph of winnings:

So, something is obviously wrong! I know what my leaks are, I'm trying to fix them, but when I look at my stats, they are the same as they were when I started to "try". So, am I trying hardly enough? Probably not!

I've made just slightly improvements this year, which are probably good enough for being break even at NL20 atm, but I need to do much more if I want to reach my ultimate goal - having a good side income from poker. And I can do that with reaching and mastering at least NL50.

I wrote a milion times about what my leaks are, so it's time to deal with them one by one and take enough time for each of them. Analysing my July and August stats, I pointed out the leaks and made a "To do" list:

So now I'm making sure of not jumping from one area to another before solving the first one. The leak with the highest priority is not 3betting enough, so in September I will mainly focus on that. Let's start!

2nd hand from the big list of hands on this page (edit: page before obv): raise the river bigger!

On the turn you pay 2,17 - this does not justify the call because with roughly 10 outs you have ~25% of the times a card on the river that improves you.
So, the only reason you call are the implied odds and then: raise!
