C$0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: C1.22 (85.74/52.13/16.81/576 (V/P/3/H)
MP: C4.02 (57.32/2.27/3.20/401 (V/P/3/H)
CO: C2.97 (66.67/2.08/2.08/144 (V/P/3/H)
Hero (BTN): C7.07
SB: C9.05 (51.92/0.00/0.00/53 (V/P/3/H)
BB: C3.78 (50.00/0.00/0.00/2 (V/P/3/H)

SB posts SB C0.02, BB posts BB C0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: C0.06) Hero has A♦:7♦:

UTG raises to C0.12, fold, CO calls C0.12, Hero calls C0.12, fold, BB calls C0.08

Flop: (C0.50, 4 players) 4♥:T♥:A♣:
BB checks, UTG bets C0.04, CO calls C0.04, Hero raises to C0.35, fold, fold, CO calls C0.31

Turn: (C1.24, 2 players) J♠:
CO checks, Hero checks

River: (C1.24, 2 players) 6♠:
CO checks, Hero checks

Spoiler

CO shows J♦:K♠: (One Pair, Jacks)
(Pre 41%, Flop 19%, Turn 20%)
Hero shows A♦:7♦: (One Pair, Aces)
(Pre 59%, Flop 81%, Turn 80%)
Hero wins C1.12

Note that CO is v loose and quite passive. AF = 0.4 and AFq only 20%
He gets to showdown 57% of the time.

Because of that, I have no way to tell what range he might be on nor what my equity might be.
If I bet, he'll call whether he's ahead or behind. If I'm ahead, yay me. If I'm behind, I'm just spewing.
What's a poor fish supposed to do?

TIA,
VS

Shot small the river in order to induce call (Jx Tx bluff catchers which missed the fd)

We can bet small river. Villain is a passive fish who likes to go to Showdown.

I think we could make a bet on the turn or on the river. Maybe I would make a 1/2 bet on the turn and check back / fold the river. He could have some draws on the turn that we don't want to give free cards to.

I agree with this play and reasoning

I am not really fan of calling it pre , raise seems to be fine on the flop against such a small sizing , but however on another streets I am just my goal is to reach cheapest showdown.
