Thought I would share this with the poker community for feedback and to see if I am over reacting. I usually play on a pokerstars where if there are any problems you can ask for a moderator to come to the table (for most problems). I thought I would give 888 poker a try in particular the video capable cash game tables and I played a couple 6 max sitngos with video. On more than 5 occasions I have seen perverts pull out their genitals and have seen people at my table turn there web cam towards the table so that their cards are showing...I mean they zoom right in so their whole cards are showing and when I ask them to stop they do not. I contacted 888 support via chat and phone. No one does anything. In every case the player showed their whole cards for about an hour until they left or busted out. 888 support will not immediately evict them from the table...instead they ask you to send them an email that can take up to 48 hours to read depending on the amount of emails they have to review.
If they will not monitor tables (the customer rep said "we can not monitor all tables and we can not even go and look at the table in question") and even when notified via phone and chat still do nothing???!!! I understand cheating happens regardless (these instances were not even nescesarily cheating, just a player being a jerk/immature or what have you) but when it is as blatant as this...how can anyone feel safe playing on such a site...how are they allowed to stay in business? If you play at a live casino and players continually show their whole cards and no one in the casino stepped in (or said "send us an email). would they not go out of business or be investigated?....I contacted the the authority that governs 888 poker with a screen shot of the players and a request that they enforce a protocol that makes 888 staff immediately take action in instances where it is blatant or a player is flashing their genitals. I am awaiting a response.
A reply from 888 stating they take such actions from other players seriously means nothing....actions speak louder than words.
I don't know if I can attach a screen shot on here..so have not of this particular incident....mind you theis happens frequently in just the month I have been on 888.
